Worst airline and airport ever

I am 75 years old and with the exception of Aeroflot have flown on most airlines! This has to be the worst experience of any airline I have been on. Their website in this day and age is abysmal. I tried to find lost property service but to no avail so gave up. I had my seat selection changed to one in the middle of a row, they then tried to sell me an extra seat. When I boarded the flight a good few rows at the rear of the plane were empty including my initial seat selection!! Rip off. The only good thing is the hard work of the cabin crew.
The food a dog would turn its nose up at. what made matters worse was the departure airport, Also the worst airport I have ever used, with all the walkways from train station to terminal 2 out of order and when I questioned an airport worker he told me that he had worked there for three years and never saw them working! The security checks were totally disorganised causing the flight to be delayed by two hours. One star is being generous.

Disappointing and stressful travel on…

Disappointing and stressful travel on Saudi Airlines, mainly because of incompetent and unprofessional treatment by Manchester airport check in counter staff. It was actually a nightmare trip and our Business Class didn't get us any advantage or preference. I regretted every pence paid towards this trip. We booked two airtickets on Saudi airlines from Manchester to Dubai via Jeddah through Justfly. Although Saudi airlines allows all passengers 2 peices of checked luggage as a standard, we found at the airport that we had only one peice each in our booking. We tried in vain and very hard to pursuade the stubborn check in crew that this was a mistake and that we upgraded to Business Class and it allows us two pieces of luggage but refused to listen. We were forced to pay £360 for the second piece of luggage, and we were also forced to buy unwanted return airtickets to Oman because we had only one way airtickets and apparently UAE requires return airtickets.Because of the ill treatment at Manchester airport, we didn't enjoy the whole trip to Dubai. To be fair, the plane crew were good but the service at the Business Class was average.

I will never use this airline again.

I will never use this airline again.
Absolutely pathetic and downright rude.
Very poor value for money.
Never delivered my luggage. Spoilt my holiday.
Try to communicate with them... Blunt replies.
They seem completely unbothered about everything.

Horrible experience with luggage...

They didn't onboarded my luggage from connecting flight at all. later i had to call and explain to 100 of people to get my luggage. everyone was saying different story. after 2 months i got my luggage that too by help of a friend working in airport. also delayed the flight while take off by 4 hours... and landed 3 hours late. i had to run like hell for my next flight.

Saudia Airline “WORST AIRLINE”

I lost 2 luggages and it has been 6 months now and everytime i email them this is their reply My apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

Please note that I have sent another reminder to the department concerned, and I will update you once they reply to me.

I wish that you are satisfied with my service.

Do not hesitate to contact me through this email 24/7 for any further assistance.…. I tried calling them but still the same response, they are unable to help me because they would not know or not even deals with lost luggages. Disgusting!!! They asked me to fill up claim form and promised an amount that we can claim but still no luck. Worst evil people and company. I will make sure to post about this airline to every social media platform i know for the whole world to know how horrible they are. Thieves!!!

Worst customer service

I travelled by this airline for the first time in my life. I had to attend a wedding in India. My luggage was lost. I was assured in Delhi airport that it was in Jeddah and will arrive to me within 24 hrs. It did not arrive. The staff won’t pick up my phone. On 5 th day the staff picked up my phone with a blunt answer that we will let you know when it arrives. After 3 weeks the delivered a wrong luggage which was later on collected back. After 2 months they promised to pay compensation. It’s more than 5 months now and they have not paid any compensation. The customer service is appalling. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS AIRLINES.

Unresponsive customer service

Unresponsive customer service after months of trying. No response regarding multiple issues via email, website, WhatsApp and the phone automation service sends you in a loop. It’s almost funny how bad the user experience is.

I once got a referral back to the travel agent via email for a matter relating to their membership programme!

I went to the counter at Riyadh and the agents laughed when the realised I had a membership question. Like it’s universally accepted even with Saudi staff there is no hope for a response.

If you find a flight and have zero reason to talk to the airline before or after, the airline is fine. Neither good or bad.

If you need to talk to them about redemption, change of details, basically anything membership related that requires a person, forget it. They are hopeless.

The new Riyadh Air will eat their lunch if they even answer a customer enquiry!

Non respect of safety measures

Non-compliance with anti-covid measures, lack of hygiene. Many passengers were coughing during the flight and the staff didn't ask them to put on masks: in the end we got covid after the flight. On the return flight, idem, we had masks but the stewardess told me that there were no masks available on board and none of the coughing passengers wore masks. Unacceptable endangering of passengers' health. The TV was also broken.

My flight was 15 hours delayed on may…

My flight was 15 hours delayed on may 25, 2023 From Jeddah Airport to Cairo without further notice.. I submitted complaint on their website (Ticket # 588439) and no feedback till date .. Very careless and unprofessional customer service .. They do not care about customers even when flight is delayed for more than 12 hours without justification!!!!!!!!!!!!

AVOID AS MUCH AS YOU CAN

Just pray you don't need to engage with customer service from Saudi. They should be awarded worst customer service award in the airlines industry. Just cannot get worse. No online proper channels exist, email ID for Alfursan have been removed with Whatsapp remaining only channel. You message on whatsapp and they put you to wait and then respond after even 12 hours and terminate the chat within 2-3 minutes if you don't respond. I am a silver member and no other company has ever made me feel this ridiculous and frustrated. Haven't been able to have a conversation with them in 6 months regarding my problems :) STOP MAKING FOOLS OUT OF PEOPLE.

Stay away from Saudi as much as you can. I am unable to use my points as my will with them after taking so many flights in 2 years and becoming a silver member. They don't upgrade and no connecting awards flights can be booked online. What do i do with the stupid miles now?

Extremely poor customer service

Extremely poor customer service. I received a terrible meal on a flight from Heathrow to King Khaled Airport. I would have been better off bringing my own food on board!
I sent filled out an online feedback form to Saudia Guest Relations and received an acknowledgement with ticket number on the 7 May.
This is what I received:
We would like to keep you updated that your request is under processing and will reply to you soon.

I sent them a follow- up email to find out why they hadn't replied.
45 days later.... No acknowledgement at all from Saudi Guest Relations!

If I could rate in minus I would

If I could rate in minus I would. The worst customer service ever!! There is no way of raising a complaint, their online form does not work, they apparently can’t help on the phone and ask you to raise a technical fault in regards to the complaint form and then I hear back weeks later to say sorry? But not fixing the issue. Absolutely appalling and I am out of pocket due to a 17hour delay

Our flight was delayed for 5 hours. Put a compliant in re compensation all approved by customer services I have been waiting over six weeks for the money to be paid. I emailed Saudia spoke to their customer services no joy. Poor customer after care

I have just made a round trip to the…

I have just made a round trip to the Philippines from UK and everything was very very good. Really I can’t fault it. Ticket price was by far the best value on Google. Service was excellent, staff friendly and polite. The whole thing ran like clockwork. If I was trying to be picky I could point out the free disposable head phones for inflight entertainment were naff - next time I’ll bring my own - but that’s an observation and not a complaint. It feels to me it’s excellent value for money to be able to fly to the other side of the planet and back for approx £750!

I was concerned about booking with Saudia as they have some many bad reviews on here - I didn’t have to change/cancel my plans at all, and I can see why you would give a bad review if you had to amend your plans and it’s difficult - but I can’t comment on that aspect of their customer service.

I booked through booking.com and it saved me an extra £35 or so.

I’d fly with them again. The food and onboard experience was easily on a par with any other airline I’ve flown with.

Connecting flights via Jeddah and Riyadh airports are first class, cool and comfortable.

Recently travelled with Saudi Airlines…

Recently travelled with Saudi Airlines business class Manchester to Bangkok. From previous reviews we were a little concerned but the overall experience was excellent. Business class seats were excellent, air hostesses were very attentive and we had no complaints at all. Would definitely travel with them again.
