Landon and Co
Landon and Co, 10x 10 gazebo.Roof fabric is crap. weakened and split after not even 2 years of use, despite being removed in the Fall, and stored dry, til the following Spring. Landon replied back after 2 attempts.1st time ,the customer service person said they would send an email and I could reply with a pic of receipt and pics of the damaged top. A few days went by,.and nothing.Called again and this time the email was sent at the end of the day.Bear in mind that 2 weeks ago, there was a 2 year warranty on this product online. Now,its conveniently 1 year. So, we`re out of luck ,but as a "consolation" ,they offered us a 15% discount on any purchase over $ 150. I strongly believe in "buy Canadian" but this is the 2nd item that was crap over the last 2 years. My advice is, save your $$ and buy elsewhere.
Damaged water heater installI purchased a water heater on line and…
I purchased a water heater on line and arranged installation by the store. They installed a badly damaged heater which they tell me they'll replace but haven't after a month of complaining.I ordered a better quality heater to ensure more reliability but got a badly damaged unit of unknown reliability
No regard for Customers
The company offered an excellent deal on a covered Gazebo for just over half price. They offered this sale for almost two months. They did this however with little to no store inventory and a flawed online inventory system where stores show on hand inventory but there is no units actually left for sale. Store personnel have no idea when or if more units are coming and have zero interest in helping. What is the point of this? All they have done is really annoy a lot of people with little hope for recourse. I switched from Home Depot as I'm trying to shop Canadian but I really cannot tolerate this.
Do not buy anything from Rona store…
Do not buy anything from Rona store with delivery service — their team is completely incompetent.
I paid for delivery, waited all day, and the delivery person didn’t even try my buzzer. Instead, they just returned my order to the store without any real attempt to reach me.
When I called the store to reschedule, I was shocked to learn that I would have to pay again for a new delivery. This is absolutely unacceptable and infuriating.
Can you imagine if I pay again and the same thing happens? It’s entirely possible — because Rona offers no guarantee, even though I’m paying for the service.
This experience was frustrating, disappointing, and a complete waste of my time and money.
Customer Service ? What’s That ?
RONA Saskatoon 1722 Preston : Today I regret my patronage of thousands of dollars in tools and materials. And you lost today’s purchase and my future patronage and recommendation. I was unable to find a specific tool after picking up $100 in other purchases. The whole time I saw no one in the hardware area for help. I did see two other customers also looking for help when I arrived. A half hour of my time wasted. One employee tried to help but it wasn’t their area. Another employee called for customer assistance and I wasted more time waiting for no one to show up. I made a complaint at customer service and they apologized but didn’t seem to really care.
Dakota at Customer service went above…
Dakota at Customer service went above and beyond to make sure that we were satisfied with our purchase order, that was actually given to us incorrectly. We were initially given 30 boxes of mismatched floor tiles (different lots) and could only return 21 of the 30 boxes. She contacted a Manager and through her diligence we were given a credit for Their mistake. Then we purchased 30 new boxes in a different color with her help and the help of Mark in Flooring.
Fonacab lies and they don't even acknowledge a bike lane on Crumlin road
Since I put a dangerous driving claim about this fonacab driver I will attach a photo were the so called representative stated that there is no bike lane on the Crumlin road that lane is for turning right and for taking over if there is a car turning right, the driver drove on a bike lane and they think that it's the responsibility of both drivers no it's not because your driver would of caused an accident to me or a bike user because he wanted to skip a few cars. Since this is there response I will be doing the same as there drivers are allowed to.
Taxi driver especially fonacab im not going to stop or change direction next time there will be an accident and the police will decide then.
Don't want to hold your drivers responseable then I will.
No sunrise that fonacabs 1.9 stars by this response and blatant lies because I had the driving lane and right of way for your driver to be on the bike lane is absolutely shock behaviour that fona cab let's be part of there practice
Shipping label created, then NOTHING…
Shipping label created. Still sitting at Rona three days later. Too much trouble I must take, to assist Rona with its troubles and failed customer service, without them giving compensation for my time lost. Failure.
RONA.CA FALSE ADVERTISING
I left an honest review on Rona.ca website but RONA declined to publish my review on their website.
Below is their response to my original review and my original review just below it
Hello,
Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines. Thanks for sharing, and we hope to publish next time!
Here was my original honest review:
(With attached pic as proof that it was advertised as FROST-FREE but it's NOT)
It says in the product description that the fridge is frost-free but it is NOT.
We tried to reach out to Rona to clarify this and hopefully they will resolve this issue to our satisfaction but unfortunately we have NOT received any response back from RONA. What's more unlucky for us is this fridge went on sale the day after we bought it for $100 less than what we paid for.
Bummer that's a shame. It'd have been a consolation had we bought it for that discounted $100 off sale price or Rona makes an effort to contact us to address our complaint.
User's recommendation: Shop at your own risk.

I would rather burn my money than help pay the salaries of the jerks who work at Etobicoke location…
I’ve finally reached my breaking point with the customer service at the Etobicoke RONA. Every time I’ve had to exchange my SodaStream CO₂ canisters, I’ve dealt with the same older woman at the customer service desk—and every single time, she’s been consistently rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. Today was the last straw.
After waiting far too long at the counter while she tried to juggle multiple things—none of which included giving the actual customer standing in front of her her full attention—I eventually just asked if I could exchange the tanks somewhere else as I was unhappy with having to deal with her attitude every time I go in. Her response? A snarky and abrupt, “I don’t know.” At that point, I’d had enough. I grabbed my old tanks and said I was f***ing done dealing with them. Her response? Basically was “F*** you.”
Yes, that actually happened. Profanity from a customer service representative.
An assistant manager eventually appeared, but instead of diffusing the situation, he seemed more interested in escalating it. After some back-and-forth, none of which was entirely friendly from either side, he agreed to do the exchange, but then started asking for the original receipt for the tanks—something that’s completely unreasonable for an exchange program like this. After a much heated back and forth, I asked if it was required to do the exchange, and he admitted it wasn’t, but claimed he was “obligated to ask.” I still can’t make sense of this.
When I asked for the store manager’s number, he gave two numbers, neither of which worked.
Let me be clear: I’ve done a bunch of major renovations recently, I’ve spent somewhere in the ball park of $50,000 - $100,000 over the past few years at this store, and even back then I noticed the poor customer service, but I brushed it off. That was a mistake. My apprehension to go in to the store today, as it would seem, was well founded. I will never shop at this location—or possibly any RONA—again. I will eat the cost of the Indigo-branded carbonation tanks just to avoid ever setting foot in this store. I PROMISE YOU, you will never see another penny from me.
Absolutely unacceptable behavior from people whose literal job is to help customers.

I believe the donkey commercial is directly addressing my x-husband's DIYs, as they were always done half-assed. BRAVO RONA
What a disgusting ad

We ordered a gazebo from RONA on April…
We ordered a gazebo from RONA on April 27 for $2,200, with delivery scheduled for May 2 and installation on May 8. As of today—three weeks later—we have received nothing.
We started following up around May 5, as the installation date was approaching and there was nothing to install. We contacted both RONA and the delivery company almost every day. Each time, we were promised someone would reach out “soon” to arrange delivery. That never happened.
Despite multiple emails and calls, neither RONA nor the delivery company followed through. We were repeatedly told to “wait a little longer” or “someone will be in touch.” No one ever was.
Eventually, we gave up and asked to cancel the order. We were told we’d receive a cancellation confirmation within three hours—again, nothing. The order is still not canceled, and we are still being charged for something we never received.
This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating. We’re out $2,200, and RONA has failed to deliver both the product and any form of reliable customer service.
I recently renovated an entire condo…
I recently renovated an entire condo and dealt with both Rona and Home Depot. My experience with Home Depot was dismal and I will never shop there again. Rona (Vanvouver Grandview Highway) was unbelievably fantastic! They were knowledgeable, responsive and determined to provide me with best customer service ever. Shop Rona!
Employee named Patricia At Anjou Store
Employee named Patricia At Anjou Store. Went above and beyond to provide great service.
Hate for donkey commercial
I absolutely hate, hate, hate the new commercial. It makes me sad to see the donkey crying. Some may think it's funny but I certainly do NOT.
Just watching new rona tv ads
Just watching new rona tv ads. Very upset about use of half a donkey. This is a very negative ad for a store. There are too many people who are not perfect. They are ridiculed and labeled with such phrases as"half" . Please consider removing this ad. Thanks.
