The process was very straightforward. If you are well-organized and have all the relevant documents ready in digital format (which should always be the case), getting the refund is very easy.

First time I have ever made a claim. Windscreen cracked on a rental car in South Africa. Claim required a fair bit of paperwork but once submitted the claim processed quickly with prompt payment. Will definitely use again.

My first time every having to claim for hire car damage, €2250 bill for bumper and headlight damage came through and rental claims had an easy form to fill in, and then two days later confirmed they would pay and getting paid was instant. The exchange rate was a bit unfavourable but I took the euros instead and when I submitted my details the payment was made instantly which was a huge help to pay the bill from the rental company. Would choose these guys every time after this.

Beware
Beware! We went with VIP Cars for Crete, VIP suggested we go with Rental Cover (VIP Cars partner) who seemed to offer full insurance. On arrival it turned out that VIP CARS subcontract to another car hire provider who informed us that in the event of a claim the 3rd party will take the cost from us and then we would have to claim it back from Rental Cover. A headache if you're looking to pay for cover to save you the aggravation of having to make an insurance claim yourself.
Problems with Com Avis in Zagreb
I rented a car from Avis. Everything was quick upon pickup, but when I returned it, they did a combined inspection and didn't invite me to the inspection. The manager came back and said okay, you can go, but the next day I got a letter asking for 474 euros for repairing a 5 cm scratch. My letters went silent.
Then I filed a claim with RentalCover, and everything was resolved in two days and they refunded three parts of the money. I didn't even expect it to be that easy, thank you.

We needed to make a claim, after Green Motion stated we damaged the hire car ( we do not believe we did, and would never use them again)
We filled in a very strait forward form, took photos of the required documents and uploaded them and submitted claim.
Two days later they contacted us, as one of the documents was incorrect (Green motion hadn’t given us the correct paperwork). We obtained the correct paperwork, uploaded it and the claim was approved the next day. It was paid the day after.
It was therefore 4 days between claiming and being paid the full amount we claimed.
Very easy to deal with, very quick payment ( would have been even quicker if Green Motion had given us the correct paperwork) and would highly recommend

Rental Cover.com has an easy online claims process. My claim was responded to within 2 days, and notification of payment was received soon after I submitted my bank details. I was really surprised at how quickly my claim was approved and paid! Best insurance claim experience I’ve ever had.

My experience with this provider has been disappointing. I lodged a claim more than 20 business days ago for what appears to be a straightforward refund request, yet communication and progress have been extremely limited.
The company does not appear to offer direct customer contact channels beyond email, and the responses received have been largely generic, providing little clarity or confidence that the matter is being actively progressed. This lack of transparency and responsiveness has been frustrating and has not met my expectations of customer service.
Based on my experience, I would encourage prospective customers to carefully review the company's terms, claim processes, and independent customer feedback before committing to their services. In the event of an accident or claim, customers should be aware that delays may result in unexpected out-of-pocket expenses.
I would recommend considering alternative providers with a proven track record of customer service and claims support, or where possible, dealing directly with a reputable hire company.

Rental over had an easy online service as long as you had all your documentation. It was approved and paid within 24 hours of submitting the claim. I chose to get paid by Venmo and had my money in 30 minutes. Great service.
