My experience of working with Remote has unfortunately, been hugely disappointing. Whilst their platform looks polished, the customer service is anything but. There is no way to speak with a real person, no phone number, communication is restricted to an email, where response times are slow and the quality of assistance is limited. When responses do arrive, they tend to be generic, dismissive, and rarely helpful in resolving the issue at hand. A particularly persistent problem has been their repeated miscalculation of non-taxable expenses as taxable, despite numerous requests and clear explanations regarding the correct treatment. This error occurs monthly, without acknowledgment or resolution. This pattern of inattention and indifference suggests a troubling lack of accountability in how Remote handles payroll and compliance services, the very areas they claimed to specialize in. While Remote's platform might appeal to global businesses seeking operational convenience, my experience shows that their support infrastructure and operational reliability are not up to the standard one should expect in this field. Until they address these serious deficiencies in responsiveness and competence, I would strongly advise against trusting them with any employment or payroll responsibilities.
