I had to cancel a resort booking due to my leave being cancelled by my work due to operational changes. Apparently that is not covered, I have learned a very expensive lesson and on looking over the fine print, don't believe there are many reasons a refund would be given but a long list of reasons they won't refund.
Total waste of money and I will NEVER use this service again. So disappointed. I am now over $600 out of pocket at a time I can least afford it.

Whatever you do, dont EVER buy the insurance for tickets. Biggest fraud ever! I purchased 4 tickets for inlaws and aunt and uncle. Now my aunt and uncle cant go due to dog having a tumor removed. I filed claim and they wanted a note with specific things. So I gave them proof and they came back with of dogs not included. Why not say that at first instead of making me get a print out from the vet. Yes its an emergency and yes they cant gi since their dogs cant go. FRAUD!!! They said they would refund 50% but I would have to rebuy the other 2 tickets anyways so no point. This is a major turn off to this event and they should use another company that is more trustworthy.

Never had a response from Refundable.me for a running event, provided doctors certificate for reason I could not run, trouble submitting form with errors encountered several times. Waste of money paying for this insurance. Will never bother again with them and will tell anyone else not to use them too

I have bought a trip to Budapest from Flighthub(NEVER AGAIN!) where they recommended trip cancellation protection this company. When I noticed the trip had a short stop at Toronto which I didn't want, my mistake, I cancelled for free that trip instantly, not in the 24h range, but their policy is to keep the money even the trip doesn't exist anymore. So now I am short of CAD 400 and short after that I bought another trip with desired stops and another insurance from them!!! I had no idea about their "policy". Now I lost CAD 800! How can be legal in Canada such a SCAM?!

Disappointing and insensitive handling
Recovering from a cesarean section while caring for a newborn is physically demanding and requires real support.
During this period, I needed my mother’s help to assist with daily activities and newborn care, as recovery from surgery comes with significant physical limitations.
Despite medical confirmation that assistance was required, this situation was minimized and treated as something “normal,” which does not reflect the reality of post-surgical recovery.
A C-section is a major surgery, and recovery can be challenging. Situations like this should be handled with more understanding and seriousness.
This experience was disappointing and added unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. I was served by Sarah.
If only I could give a ZERO

Misleading service – not recommended
I do not recommend this company.
I paid for refund protection expecting support in unforeseen circumstances. I provided all required documentation, including a doctor’s note confirming my daughter’s post-surgical condition and need for assistance.
My claim was still denied, and my situation was reduced to a “normal pregnancy,” which is both inaccurate and disrespectful given that she is recovering from major surgery and requires support.
The process felt misleading and inconsistent. Instead of support, it created unnecessary stress during a sensitive time.
I would strongly advise others to be cautious before purchasing this service.

UPDATED REVIEW 4/1:
Refundable.me made things right and reviewed the case and refunded our tour. I appreciate them taking swift action and doing right by the customers. Thank you, Refundable.me.
Due to a combination of TSA issues, pregnancy, and job redundancy, I needed to cancel a $70 tour. Instead of a straightforward process, I was met with an overwhelming and excessive list of documentation requirements that felt completely unreasonable for the situation. They requested confidential documentation that I am able to share, raising serious concerns about privacy and the overall legitimacy of the process.
The entire experience added unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. I would not recommend relying on this service as this is a complete joke and feels like a scam.

Holy crap what a TERRIBLE service
FlightHub had a good price on tickets and I purchased the additional cancelation insurance as the weather looked unpredictable. My flight was canceled and the airline refunded FlightHub. FlightHub uses 3rd party Refundable.me to process returns. The web form is glitchy (onnpurpose i suspect), it clears fields when you navigate to the next page and i had to enter the sane information multiple times as it flagged completed feilds as incomplete. I suspect many people get frustrated and give up allowing Refundable.me to ignore refund. I have been getting the runaround being referred to FlightHub and Refundable.me from the opposite provider, both claiming it is the others responsibility to issue refund. My refund request meets the requirements AND $44 cancelation insurance was purchased.
I will continue to fight for my deserved refund but I can see how anyone with tech or language issues would just give up. I highly suspect that is part of their business model.
Avoid FlightHub and Refundable.me

I have been looking forward to this Airshow for 14 years and purchased tickets for 3 days.Monday 23/3/2026 I suffered a stroke and was rushed to Westmead Hospital near Sydney where I spend the next 3 days in hospital. The doctor has said under no condition am I allowed to drive or fly for the next 30 days. Thinking with a full medical report would be enough to satisfy Refundme or Trustpilot for a bit of compensation I receive an email saying no refunds. I didn’t even get a response from trustpilotrefundable.me, waste of time. This is just stealing, what a bunch of crooks! Where does all the money go? The organisers at Wanaka should not be allowed to use Ticketec only, disgusting. If any one is interested in a 3 day pass please let me know, shame on you.

Our Family had booked air-tickets and paid for the option of cancellation. My Wife and I logged a claim due to medical reasons online for which we have not even received a link to proceed or an acknowledgement.
Have contacted the issuer of the Tickets 'Aunt Betty' to investigate the best way forward noting the situation described above - but the response is that they can not assist as 'Refundable Me' is a Third Party. They do not have a way of contacting them.
'Go Figure' how is this even conceivable.
This is the worst possible scenario to be in. The issuer does not want to take any responsibility and the Third Party is not contactable either by telephone or email and to make matters worse the Third Party "Refundable Me' does not even have a website.
Its Daylight robbery - a scheme for the companies 'Refundable Me' & 'Aunt Betty' to print money for themselves through a dubious scheme.
Buyer Beware
17 April Update _ Despite writing to the email provided in their response to my earlier experience. There has been no further actions. @Heidi and Team please respond. I am awaiting progress on this with refund.

Had to cancel a marathon after breaking my foot. I was worried when I saw the negative comments here.
But I received the refund in my account the next day after filing my request. I think they deserve a good review.
Giving 4/5 because they asked for my documents by email after I have uploaded them to their platform. Think this can be streamlined.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Do not waste a single penny on "cancellation protection" from Refundable.me. It is a complete and total scam designed to take your money and offer zero support in return.
I purchased their protection specifically for peace of mind, but when my destination was hit with a valid government travel advisory—explicitly stating it was unsafe to travel—they flat-out refused to honor the claim. What is the point of "cancellation protection" if a literal government warning isn't a good enough reason for them?
Their entire business model seems to be built on finding every possible loophole to deny valid claims. They hide behind "terms and conditions" that make it impossible to actually get a refund, even when you have proof. Dealing with their customer service is a nightmare; they are unhelpful, dismissive, and clearly trained to just say "no."
This company is predatory. They partner with booking sites to look legitimate, but once they have your fee, you'll never see a dime of it back.
DO NOT TRUST THEM.
Save your money and book through a reputable company that actually cares about traveler safety.

I had a really positive experience dealing with this team. Sarah was incredibly helpful, understanding, and professional throughout the entire process. She showed genuine care and handled my situation with kindness and efficiency, which I truly appreciated.
Communication was clear and timely, and everything was resolved smoothly. It’s refreshing to deal with someone who goes above and beyond to support customers.
Thank you again for your outstanding assistance—I’m very grateful and highly recommend your service!

The refundable me has no way to contact via phone. It is a total dehumanizing experience with no resolution. It would be better to offer nothing than to go through the hassle of uploading documents, etc. just to be told No. I cannot even find a way to dispute the decision.

Unfortunately, I booked their additional “service” against a fee without checking the poor customer rating before.
Based on their one sentence reply, they did not even bother to check my case but dismissed it right away although it qualifies for a refund according to their T&Cs. Completely useless unfortunately.

Total scam they should be shut down. Wont pay out unless you take legal action.
They did offer to pay on the day before we fly that took 20 days plus.
This is a total scam company and it will take consumers to take it to court or report this company as fraudulent . Read the 1200 reviews they all say the same. “Asked for more detail is the standard” we had three seperate medical opinions and it was still initially rejected. Shut this mob down!

I purchased refund protection with my Ethiopian Airlines tickets, which is handled by Refundable.me, and the experience has been incredibly disappointing.
I applied for a refund due to a legitimate medical emergency and submitted all required documentation, including screenshots clearly showing that I purchased the refund protection option. Despite this, Refundable.me repeatedly denied my claim, stating that I “did not buy” the protection — even though the proof was right in front of them.
Their refusal to acknowledge the evidence feels careless and unprofessional. Instead of helping during an already stressful situation, their process added even more frustration and wasted time.
If you're considering buying refund protection through Ethiopian Airlines or Refundable.me, be very cautious. Based on my experience, the coverage you think you’re paying for may not actually be honored when you need it most.

Total Scam. They will find a way to decline your application even with a death in the family that required us to cancel our trip to attend the funeral.

Paid for the insurance in case I got an injury for the Manchester Marathon, which I did falling off my bike. Refunded in full.👍
