Yet another scammed review!
Yet another scammed review!
Bought this through Aunty Betty. They should be embarrassed to be connected to a scam refund company that literally stopped responding to me after I provided my documents.
If I could give negative stars I would
If I could give negative stars I would. This company is a joke. And a complete scam. I wish I knew before I fell for it.
Misery loves company
Well they say misery loves company so I’m glad I’ve found my ppls. Long story short, I needed a room for a night for travel. Booked the room with the insurance because of the possibility of heavy snow. Event got canceled so at the time I was delighted. I didn’t have to travel and my money was coming back to me woohoo! I follow the prompts to submit the refund, (which by the way super sketchy having to put in my bank info for a refund so now I’ll be watching by my accounts like a hawk) then I get an email saying they don’t have all the information I just submitted. So I send it all again, no biggie smalls. Finally I get a response from a “human” named “Sarah” who tells me I need a government issued travel warning. I told her that I don’t know how it works where she’s from but never in my life as a US citizen have I see a government agency issue a sweeping travel warning banning folks from going anywhere. That one of the best and worst things about this amazing nation. You have the freedom (not the right) to do dumb stuff. Thankfully after a little back and forth they sent an email saying they would issue a refund. I’m going to follow up and contact some US officials just to put them on the radar. They are sketchy, they are most likely a third party scam site that banks on you forgetting or being to flustered to get your money back. Avoid them like the plague. Oh and “Sarah” I gotta government agency for ya it’s called they FTC.
Don’t get this insurance
Don’t get this insurance, they cover only a few limited exceptions, you’ll be better off with the insurance from your credit card, this is a scam company.

Buyer Beware
Like the other reviewers I have been scammed by Refundable.me. First the agents are all named with female first names. NO legit identities. Emails are written by persons who don't know English like a native. There is a script that gets repeated over and over. Besides their "sympathy" for your situation they pile on new requirements.Despite multiple emails and submiting ER reports they still ask for a Doctors note. I see that's the theme in most of these reviews. The ER multi page diagnosis was not enough despite in their requirements they say registered Doctors note or a certificate, It is not enough. Stay away. Do your research. Positive reviews are part of the scam.

I strongly advise people not to use this service. I booked two events (a half Ironman and a marathon). After booking I had a routine medical, was referred for a CT scan and have since discovered I have a heart condition. My cardiologist strongly advised me not to do endurance events. Refund me is refusing to pay out as they want proof I didn’t know about the condition before making the booking. Why would anyone risk their life like that. Clearly they just will do anything not to pay out. Absolutely pointless insurance.
Caution
Update:
They did reach out to me and make things right eventually. However, I would still caution anyone considering this insurance that the process was stringent and way more complicated than it needed to be. I had to speak to multiple agents, fill out 2-3 claim requests, and they expected unreasonable evidence for my claims and were unwilling to work with me prior to my posting this review. Just use caution and be prepared if you choose to use this company.
My original review:
Absolute scam. Expected me to pay $120 for a doctors visit to prove I was sick or they weren’t refunding me. The refund amount was $190. Insinuated I was lying when I told them I wouldn’t be doing that.
Literally impossible to receive a refund
Emailed them because I was in a car accident and have to schedule surgery close to the event (I am literally internally bleeding), as well as having a court date close to the event. They said they couldn’t do anything for me because I emailed them too far in advance (apparently can only be 2 months ahead of the event) and I didn’t provide a detailed letter from my doctor. They also said they would not refund if you were the defendant or plaintiff in court cause apparently you can choose which date your court is scheduled for around a galaxy con. I should not have to give you my medical history nor my court documentation that include many MANY personal things about me in order to receive my money back when I am ILL and have COURT
Don't buy this insurance unless you want to waste your money!
I purchased tickets for an event for my husband and I and became ill. I bought insurance through refund.me and made a claim for my refund. They said I had to have a doctor's note so I spent 2 hours at the doctor and they tested me for flu, strep, and Covid which came back negative but the doctor prescribed a Z Pack and gave me a steroid and antibiotic shot. I got a note that I have an
illness and am too sick to attend. I uploaded it to the Refund.me claim and they are saying the note is not specific enough and I need an actual diagnoses before they will refund me. The worst part is that I'm dealing with all this while being sick in bed! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. IT IS A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY.

After not being able to travel due to a sudden heart ilness,I have had nothing but obsticles put in my way via emails from this company. Ive provided and uploaded all doc uments they have asked for and more! but still no refund and just keep getting fobbed off. DO NOT USE!!!

I submitted a claim and uploaded all required documents and then they send me an e-mail asking for the documents I already sent when I filled out the claim. This is a complete scam!

I live in NC and lost my home in the flooding from hurricane Helene. My trip starts on October 20. This company will not refund my money. They say it didn’t happen 48 hours prior to the trip and I can’t provide evidence. I am meeting with fema , emergency management , and all the agencies necessary to recovery. I have provided a fire dept report for a rescue in my neighborhood along with my drivers license. I also provided pictures of what’s left of my residence and still they won’t refund my money. I currently have no place to stay and they expect me to go on this trip in eight days. Purchasing this insurance was a total waste of time and money. These people are SCAMMERS

No Reply from Shady Company
I signed up for a Spartan Race but had to cancel due to a family emergency. I even paid an extra fee in order to be able to cancel for a full refund. When I cancelled, Spartan Race sent me to Refund.me to handle my refund. First of all, the company doesn't have a website, email, address, or contact info. for someone who works for them. I filled out the application (which, by the way, asked for proof of my family emergency!) and I have not heard back from them. It's been a week now with no refund. Spartan Race told me it's out of their hands. I will not do business with anyone who works with Refund.me.
Do not do business with this company
Do not do business with this company. I paid for refundable plane tickets to attend a military graduation. Military changed the dates and we are now unable to attend. Submitted request and was denied within a couple of hours granted I did not put much information in form because I expected if they needed more info I would get an email back asking for it. Trying to contact company to discuss. There is no email no phone number and no way to contact this company. If I try using form again it denies. I even tried using the email I saw in another response on this page and no one is responding from this company. It is clear that a company that works so hard to make it difficult to contact is more about stealing your money then providing a service.
Paid the extra fee for refundable…
Paid the extra fee for refundable tickets, I put reason was emergency and they denied it in they email they said they could not approve it because in the terms it says you can’t get refunded if you no longer want the tickets, except the reason was not because I just decided I no longer wanted them it was because of a business related reason due to machinery and we cannot attend. Refused, and once your case is over say goodbye to your money.
Make it impossible to claim back
Very clever company. Make out that you are protecting yourself, but make it so difficult to get a refund. Absolute joke. Hope ripe of Britain picks this up. Total joke stay well clear
They don't refund - they steal your money
topped up to pay for food and drink at concert - didn't realize you don't get money back you don't use. They are stealing peoples money
