Absolutely worst experience with…

Absolutely worst experience with redBus. This “3X Refund Guarantee” is nothing but a misleading marketing gimmick.
I paid ₹500 EXTRA per ticket for this so-called guarantee. My total booking was ₹8,275. When my train tickets didn’t get confirmed, instead of a proper refund, they returned only ₹6,100.
The remaining amount? Forced into a ₹6,000 voucher with ridiculous conditions:
Valid for only 7 days
Can be used only within a 100 km radius of the original route (Kalyan–Veraval)
This makes the voucher practically useless. How is this a “3X refund” when customers don’t even get their own money back?
This is clearly designed to trap customers with hidden terms and force repeat bookings.
Customer support is equally disappointing—no accountability, no proper resolution.
This was a complete waste of money and time. Highly misleading service. I will NEVER use this platform again and strongly warn others to stay away from such deceptive offers.

Very disappointing experience with…

Very disappointing experience with RedBus. I booked a semi-sleeper ticket from Chennai to Virudhunagar (7:20 PM – 4:20 AM) with Uma Travels, but the bus arrived late and picked us up at 7:40 PM. At Porur Toll Gate, we were made to wait nearly 2 hours without any proper communication.
Later, we found out the bus didn’t have proper state permission, and authorities stopped it for penalty processing. This caused a huge delay. As of early morning, I had only crossed Villupuram and still had 4–5 hours left to reach my destination. I was traveling for an important family function, and this completely disrupted my plans.
Customer support response was even worse—they suggested I cancel and find another bus at night from an unknown location, which is unsafe and unrealistic, especially for women travelers.
Due to the long and uncomfortable journey, I’m now experiencing leg swelling. This is not the service expected from a platform like RedBus. They should ensure proper verification of operators and prioritize passenger safety.
Very poor experience. Not recommend

RedBus also cooperate with the cheating like this. Ticket is very high, but the bus is like scrap.
When entering the bus, fully phenyl smell. Seats are very damaged and cockroaches also. Centre place of the bus walking also broken.

No suspension, hearing some unwanted sounds ‘kada kada’. I think this bus is 20 years old. The comedy movie Sundara Travels bus also compared this good.
The main thing is driver also fraud. That driver don’t know the owner. One ticket checking person is very irritating, he said he also passenger.

No safety travel. This kind of dabba bus. People please awareness this type unwanted name of bus running weekend only. RedBus give this bus rating 4.7—hey RedBus team, who audit this bus and give the rating?
We spend high cost for the ticket, but satisfaction 0.

This bus owner operating this poor bus, playing with lot of passenger lives and enjoying our money.The God will punish you at the right time.

Redbus- If the bus is not satisfactory for passengers, the ticket amount should be refunded immediately during the journey. If you are a responsible company, please implement this policy

My final question to RedBus Founder and CEO—you and your wife, children travel this type of bus? Just app and website you have means who will responsible for human lives?

The bus owner give any bus to the website, no one can check the bus condition. You initial RedBus stage you remember. This kind of income you make—go and get begging… idiots.”

I had a bad experience because the…

I had a bad experience because the pickup time was 6:00 PM, and even though we reached on time, the vehicle did not stop for us. They asked us to travel 36 km ahead by a private vehicle. They made only one call at the scheduled time, but my phone was busy at that moment, and we were at the same location. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.
Additionally, when we departed from Mumbai, we were made to wait for almost two hours. The pickup time was 9:45 PM, but the vehicle arrived at 11:00 PM. At Ganpatipule, the pickup time was 6:00 PM, and even though we reached exactly on time, we were informed that the vehicle had already left.

Two tickets booked in AC sleeper bus from bhubaneswar to tatanagar in shiv Shakti travels .
Passengers informed that the tickets are cancelled at the time of boarding the bus without any prior information from red bus or the travel agent .
Highly objectionable and unreliable business conduct .
Booking through Red bus not recommended or appreciated.

I want to share my extremely worst and…

I want to share my extremely worst and pathetic experience with RedBus, Safer Express, and Sameer Travel.

I had booked a ticket from Agra to Guna for 14th April at 11:20 PM through RedBus. The bus operator was Safer Express, and the boarding point was Sameer Travel, Idgah Agra.

The journey itself was highly unsafe. The driver was overspeeding throughout the trip and covered the distance in just 4 hours, which clearly reflects reckless driving.

On 15th April early morning (around 5:05–5:30 AM), while I was getting down from my upper berth to collect my laptop bag, I was standing on the stairs holding the pillar with one hand. Due to the excessive speed and a sudden brake by the driver, I lost my balance and fell down with great force. This resulted in three fractures in my spine, which is a serious and life-threatening injury.

I had to rush to the hospital immediately.

What is even more disappointing is the behavior of all three parties after the incident. I requested CCTV footage as proof for my office medical leave:

RedBus representative (Tina) denied sharing the footage.
Safer Express representative (Seema) said the owner did not allow it.
Later, they falsely claimed that the camera was not working, even though I clearly saw that it was functioning.

I have been continuously chasing RedBus, Safer Express, and Sameer Travel for the footage, but no one is taking responsibility or providing any support.

This entire experience shows complete negligence, lack of accountability, and zero concern for passenger safety.

I strongly advise everyone to avoid booking through RedBus and traveling with Safer Express or Sameer Travel. It is highly unsafe, and in case of any emergency, you will not receive any support.

Very disappointed and frustrated with such irresponsible service.

One of the worst bus I have ever meet

One of the worst bus I have choosen..........i think......mainai 3 tickets (2 lower sleeper which costed 3000/- and one seater for 1000/- which was done via offline mode with proper receipt........ As soon as we arrived at the bus stop and i don't who was he may ticket collector....... And then bhaii....... Bolne laga ki kabse tumlog ko call kar ra jab humne pucha kon sa no toh usne galt no par contact kar ra thaaa then he jana hai toh jao nahi toh mat jao......then we said why toh bolta hai us no ko pahle kisi nai red bus sai book kar liya.....guys aap log bataiye kya yah galti mairi hai ya inkai service ki problem hai janai ko hum train sai budget friendly ja saktai thai par koi majburi hogi tabhi na bus sai itna paisa laga rai and such a worst behaviour.

Very bad experience

Very bad experience, traveling with my husband from pune to Hyderabad,We both are senior citizens, since no reservation was available in the train, choose Red bus to travel.After long waiting for halt when tried to use toilet,driver and conductor both done misbehave with us,can't explain here.

Avoid redBus at all costs - Horrible Experience

I'm writing this review to warn others about the terrible experience I had with redBus. I booked a sleeper bus, but when I boarded, I was shocked to find it was a seater bus with no prior intimation. The worst part was a female passenger who was heavily drunk and had alcohol with her. Despite this, she was allowed on board without any checks. She even poured alcohol in the bus, making the environment unbearable and our bags reeked of it.

The lack of security checks and care for passengers is appalling. I urge redBus to take strict action against carrying alcohol on board and ensure passenger safety. Till then, I'll be avoiding redbus.

I paid extra for a no-fee cancellation…

I paid extra for a no-fee cancellation and when I cancelled they only returned half my money. Before cancellation I was given confirmation that I would receive a full refund and only after I confirmed I was emailed saying that I would only receive half. I have tried calling multiple times but the only way I can get through is to give the last 4 digits of my ticket number and EVERY TIME it says it’s not recognised. There is literally no other way of contacting them. DO NOT pay extra for cancellation insurance as it is a SCAM

Disappointing experience with RedBus

Disappointing experience with RedBus. I paid ₹1600 for 2 seats, but the bus condition was very poor and unhygienic. Curtains were dirty with stains and bubblegum, interiors were damaged, and even cockroaches were seen in the sleeper area.

My earlier booking was cancelled last moment, so I had to book this urgently. Also, proper bus details were not provided.

The bus had a 4-star rating, which is clearly misleading. Attaching photos as proof. Not recommended.
