From the caliber of response I have just received from Ann, staff member at Pulse Eight, I am under the impression this company must be rolling in the cash and doesn't need any business.

Great company with competitive prices and excellent technical support. Only support line where I did not have to wait in a queue to speak to a competent human. Thanks Pulse8!

I just moved to a new build and called Pulse8 to speak to someone about joining up. They kept me on a waiting queue for close to 30minutes. That was all the information I needed to make up my mind.
Extremely disappointing service. Connection bandwidth was bad when contacted customer service to disconnect service within a week - they charged even though it was within 14 days. Payment made but they charged another 2 weeks for service termination but service was disconnected immediately where I was left with no service for some time before I changed service to new service provider … Customer service team Laura, Sam and Archie (?) were terrible and absolutely no sync as had contradicting statements from them when it comes to service. I won’t recommend this to anyone and it was a mistake selecting this company 😡

Switched to Pulse8 FTTC service recently and the whole experience from order to fulfilment has been outstanding. Sam from the support team answered any queries I had promptly via email and telephone. On the day of the switch, minimal downtime (literally 2mins which it took me to enter my new username /password details into my router) and got connected straightaway. Connection speeds with Pulse8 have been stable and fast (78/19) which is the max my line can handle. Plus the added bonus of no contract which gives flexibility but for the price point and the quality of service I am receiving I have no plans to move!
Pulse8 have been brilliant. After a month with no internet and 14 hours of phone calls to BT to try and get broadband after moving house, I finally talked to Pulse8 who sorted it out with no fuss. So great to be able to speak to the same person when you ring.
Cannot praise them enough. Being able to speak to a real human who is able to give helpful and honest advice is worth it’s weight in gold! I wouldn’t change provider simply based on this. Thank you Pulse 8!
When I need to set up a service, and I've now moved up the gears from ADSL to Fibre to the junction to Fibre direct to the house, Pulse8 give helpful guidance over the phone. I never have any problems with reliability or speed. On the one occasion there was a problem, from a speeding van coming off the road and destroying the junction box, Pulse8 liaised well with the infrastructure people and gave me excellent advice. Given my experience of internet providers, and the experience of other people, I definitely recommend Pulse8 as excellent value. (I've been with them for over two years.)
Absolutely fantastic service from these guys. I've had only a couple of issues in the last 3 years with my broadband and they have dealt with it promptly and efficiently. Honestly can't fault them at all. Terrific bunch.
Amazing costumer service!!!
I'll try to make it short.
I've subscribed with them a broadband contract few months ago. I received the modem I choose and the service was ready to go the day we agreed.
Everything was perfect but there was a "small" issue, I couldn't reach the maximum speed. I contacted Sam from the costumer service who helped me to make several tests. We didn't find any issue on my side so they sent me another router, same model, in a couple of days, but the problem was still there...
At the point Sam decided to send me another router, the advance model that I got in a couple of days for free!!!
Moreover I sent back the two routers and in no time they refunded me the expense for the delivery!
Thanks Sam and Pulse8 for the amazing costumer service!
I have been with them 3 years (initially phone and then adsl broadband). I was attracted to them as one of the few companies charging sensible prices for phone calls. Quick an helpful responses to my questions about transfer and to one Openreach outage recently.
Been with Pulse8 now for several months. On the rare occasions I have phoned support they have been very quick to answer and resolve issues. I was with Plusnet some years ago and that really makde me appreciate how important a responsive support desk is.
Prices very reasonable and, unlike most mainstream providers, dont get hiked at end of contract. Only downside is the need to provide your own router.
Very cheap phone calls are great and the main reason I switched from Zen (over 10 times the price).
Backhaul is TalkTalk but seems reliable and slightly faster than BT. I would not touch TT retail with a barge pole, but since all support is via pulse8 this is not an issue. Ping times reasonable. No problems with streaming.
Looking forward to a long relationship with them.
Been with Pulse8 for 3 years & I cannot fault them. After being stung by BT, TalkTalk and Virgin and tied into contracts which always resulted in legal highway robbery, I went contract-free with Pulse8. Sure, I could get a cheaper deal and save myself a few £'s, but knowing that I can cancel the contract at anytime without incurring additional and extortionate charges is a massive reassurance. Only ever had one problem with the internet, which was OpenReach's fault, but very quickly resolved after just one call to Pulse8's customer service.
I contacted Pulse8 by 'phone ahead of moving across to clarify what I needed. There was no script, no preamble. I had done my homework first so my questions were few - for example I wanted to know the differences between the 3 Zyxel routers they can supply at different prices.
Following that conversation I signed up online. I was already on fibre with BT so no engineer visit was required, and the transition from BT to Pulse8 was absolutely painless - to the point where I did not notice it occur, my BT supplied router continued to function - though I have since replaced that with the Zyxel router purchased from Pulse8. I contacted Pulse8 via e-mail the day after the move as the Zyxel router's admin password was not as expected, and received a response within 4 minutes from Sam at Pulse8 with the correct password.
I moved to Pulse8 because I am fed up with the annual contract negotiation of price with BT (whose latest best price for me was still more expensive than Pulse8's standard price). I just want an internet connection and a landline phone number, none of the other stuff that other ISP's bundle up (e-mail, TV, cloud storage, anti-virus, VPN) as I choose to use other providers for those. So with Pulse8 I got EXACTLY the services I wanted, at 57% the price of BT.
And great customer service.
I've only been with them a month, but I am really impressed, basically 3 rings and you are speaking to someone. I switched from Plusnet and am actually getting slightly faster speeds!
Registration was a little flaky (addons weren't applied), however one phone call and that was resolved.
I'm really happy with the service and am glad to get out of a broadband contract!
Registered with Pulse8 last Friday (23rd February) to move my telephone and broadband services to them from BT. Received two emails very quickly - the first a Welcome email and the second answering a speed query I raised on the application form. This second email finished with a statement that if I still wished to proceed then I should return the online form which would be sent to me - I took this to be the Adobe Echo Sign document mentioned in the Welcome email (supposedly I should have received this within 2 to 3 days). Well, it's now a week later and I've not received any further communications whatsoever - not even a courtesy telephone call.
An interesting paragraph within the Welcome email states: "IMPORTANT: If you have not heard from us within 3days please email (email removed) or call us on (number removed) to check your order status." Perhaps another way of interpreting this statement is: 'Our processes and quality control checks are so poor we rely on the customer to inform us when we forgot to do something'.
Switched to pulse8 from my last isp of 4 years due to various issues and its been perfectly fine ever since.
Switched over without a hitch.. got all my details days before my go live date.. my speeds increased. Web page response has noticeably increased.. and more importantly i no longer lag in my online fps games.
I dont see.any reason to switch isp again any time soon if pulse8 keeps going the way they are.
As well as broadband, they provide voice telephone service. After yet another price-hike from BT, it was time to move and I chose Pulse 8. So far, a year on I have had no problems at all. The prices for most calls are excellent (I'm paying not much more than half I paid to BT), and if I need to call them the phone is answered by a real person who knows what they're doing.
Plus points (apart from the above): monthly Itemised bills, per-second billing, not tied to their internet service (this was an important factor - most phone proividers insist you use them for internet as well and I did not wish to change).
Minus points: Direct debit payments only (if you find this a problem); Slightly odd billing cycle (eg the April bill is for calls in March but rental for May); enormous and complicated charges for premium rate numbers that don't seem to have been changed from the old system (most companies charge a flat rate for all 08- 09- and 118- calls).
I have been with Pulse8 now for a few months after the great but expensive AAISP, speeds are identicle and support as good, miss the AAISP control panel, not even a portal with Pulse8,
The price is considerable saving for me and as the speeds and support are the same as the number 1 rated provider but with unlimited I am extremely happy
I was disappointed by my last ISP so went to find a smaller one which was more likely to care. After coming across Pulse8Broadband I found they had very positive reviews online. Unfortunately when I transferred across to them I was out of the country and BT requested a home visit. Thankfully their support was very helpful and gave me the mobile number of the engineer so I could let him know I wasn't in. This meant I had no interruption to my service. Connection-wise, I receive what my line is capable of at all times of the day and would not hesitate to recommend them.
