- We fully understand the frustrations you are feeling under the current situation due to the steep increase in prices. Energy markets have hit record highs which have caused major problems across the energy industry. We trust the following provides some reasoning for the increases: CNG forward bought your gas usage when the wholesale market was considerably lower than today, this enabled you to be on the rate you were previously on. Unfortunately, when CNG went into administration these hedges / forward purchases ended. The knock-on effect of this is that Pozitive Energy inherited your supply at the current market rate which is significantly higher. After a rigorous tender process Pozitive Energy was appointed the “supplier of last resort” (SoLR) During this process deemed / out of contract prices were strictly agreed with Ofgem As Pozitive Energy was appointed the supplier of last resort no hedges could be put in place as you have no contract with us, therefore the current market rate is applicable. Unfortunately, the rate you were previously on to the rate you are on now is significantly more, however, we are forced to buy and supply you at these rates. Our fixed term contracts are far more competitive than our deemed pricing and we would encourage everyone to get in touch with our Customer Care team to discuss a fixed term contract with us. Dreadful company, they have confirmed via email that I don't owe them money, yet are still sending me bills - they haven't even got my correct name on the bill! Avoid - Responded to my review and have now confirmed they provided me with incorrect information. Still stand by my review and would never use them again

We have reviewed the account and can confirm that the final bill was initially generated using an estimated reading. Once we received the final meter reading from the new supplier, the account was recalculated and a revised final bill was generated using the actual reading.
Following this recalculation, an outstanding balance remained on the account, which is why further billing correspondence was issued. We appreciate that this may have caused confusion, particularly where the previous communication indicated that no balance was due.

Incompetent company
Incompetent company, AVOID! Consistently issuing incorrect bills, insisted on installing a new meter which we have now found out is faulty. Tried to bill us for 6 months of energy supposedly used in 3 days numerous times. Repeatedly sent final demands for £000's despite us disputing the bills, seems like nobody talks to each other there. Spent too many hours of my life sorting their errors out, glad we're finally shot of them.
