Amazing from beginning to end!

Our furniture was removed and stored by Pickfords for nearly 7 years. We moved from the North Cotswolds to the Isles of Scilly and our project has been ongoing and it was not possible to bring our furniture over until now.
Unpacking was very exciting and I was thrilled to find that everything was brilliantly wrapped and the condition of everything was exactly as it had left us.
Bringing everything over to the islands was not without difficulties and Pickfords managed their part perfectly.
We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic service

Excellent moving service

We had a very positive experience with Pickfords moving from London to Dublin - everyone was helpful throughout, the communication and organisation was great, the packer was very efficient and thorough, and everything was delivered on time and in perfect condition. Would definitely recommend!

Pickfords Great Removals

This has to be 1 of the best companies I have experienced in a long time in the UK for excellent customer service what a treat to have no complaints ! Samantha was great nothing was too much trouble and just the right level of communication. The removal boys again nothing was too much trouble for them all very pleasant and a happy bunch. I would highly recommend Pickfords to anyone looking for a removal company.

Would recommend

The team were really helpful with our move and able to collect our personal effects quite soon after booking. Emma at Manchester office particularly helpful and appreciated Dannys input.
Team for collection were also very good.

Would recommend and would use again, if required.

Calm, efficient and fun professional team

Phil, Owen, Ant and Aron helped us to move house last week and they were fantastic. Such a calm and professional energy in a chaotic few days for us. They handled everything with care, were very efficient and a great team to have around on such a special day for our family. Couldn't recommend more. They were worth every penny and I'm not sure how we would have fared without them.

This is the second time I've used this company to ship furniture from New York to London, and my experience has been wonderful. I received notifications - both email and phone calls - about the logistics all through the process. And final delivery to my daughter's home went without a hitch. Highly recommend!

Shocking failure Right from the top!

I moved from Surrey back home to Sheffield at the end of April. I had a couple of quotations and decided to go with Pickfords Gold service which, if you’re to believe what they sell it as, means you don’t even need to be there… they pack up, move, unpack and set up your house ready to just live in. The service is complete with a handyman to hang pictures, TVs, curtains etc…
OK so that’s the dream isn’t it… a pain free relocation. You even get your very own move manager.

What a load of rubbish!!

I was left with damaged property, damaged belongings and literally had to spend my bank holiday weekend fixing the absolute disaster they left in my home whilst my move manager just disappeared off for her weekend without bothering to fix any of the mess she left me with!!

I reached out the the MD, Mark Taylor, on LinkedIn and sent a connect request… he accepted within a few hours. I waited until after the bank holiday weekend and on 5th May I messaged him asking for help to resolve… as I write on 14th May I’ve received no response!!! If that’s how the MD behaves then the bar is set really low for the team!! I’m honestly shocked at the disrespect!

I reported damage to my belongings this week when I finally got the handyman back to finish the job and Kellie, the move manager, told me I should have reported any issues within 7 days of the move…. Hmmm… I replied that maybe if she’d met the terms of the contract and delivered the service agreed within 7 days that might well have been possible!!! As expected… no response!

I can honestly say I’d give them zero stars based on the mess they left, the damage caused and the don’t care attitude!! Oh and the constant huffing and puffing of the move team.

Being fair the original team in Surrey and the 2 guys that came from Leeds were great but then again I don’t know who damaged my belongings. They will absolutely have known but never told me and just left me to find them!! Disgusting!!

They literally destroyed the outside light in the back garden of the house I was leaving and didn’t even tell me!!

I truly don’t have any other words except behaviours start at the top and given those behaviours I’m no longer surprised at the total devastation they left!!!

Sadly I will never use or recommend them again. I heard from some of their contractors of the terrible treatment of customers property… I’m truly shocked! But then again I saw it for myself with my own property & belongings.

I give zero stars!!! They really should be ashamed of what they did for £7000!!!

Don't cut costs on moving

It's likely you can save some money by hiring smaller, independent moving companies, however that I believe is a false economy. With Pickfords it's an end to end service with us every step of the way from initial estimation through to delivery of our goods to the new location with a tailored package that removed the stress of the move.

Thr experience was great

Thr experience was great. Although delivery was delayed by a week due to factors mentioned outside theor control, Simon effectively communicated and made sure my shipment was put on priority the next available date. Thank you, the items came without any damage.

House move

The run up to the move was handled well and gave confidence that things were happening correctly. There was contact the working day prior that the team would arrive on the morning and the time. First to arrive was the handyman that had been arranged to take down sand refit large wardrobes. Then the movers arrived to pack up the house. By the end of day one mostly all of the home had been packed. The team arrived just after 08;00 the next day to pack up the remainder of the house and the outside pot plants. They checked the house to ensure all was being taken and they set off by 10;30.
The keys arrived on time at 12:30 followed shortly after by the team. All was unpacked safely
Unfortunately when the van was moved to allow a vehicle to arrive, a lamp post was clipped that brought it down across our fence, that demolished part of the fence, also some of the boxes were wrongly labelled, which caused difficulties. Otherwise would have given the full 5.

Brilliant service
