Just completed the Masterclass online tuition and now for the last few practical exercises.
If you are new to photography, or like me, returning after a few years away and having forgotten almost everything you once knew, this is an excellent course to get you back in the swing.
The modules are split up in to easy, 'bite size' pieces that are simply explained with lots of practical advice and suggestions for you to practice what you have just watched/learnt.
The videos are short and sweet and you can come back to them any time to recheck understanding.
Mike's knowledge and presenting skills make them easy to watch and follow. For the more technical videos at the start of the course, I had my camera on the table with me and it's manual open in a tab on my tablet while watching the videos on a laptop. That way I could pause the video, check the manual and then find the necessary button/menu/setting on the camera in real time.
While you will get a new module every week for 4 weeks, you can go at your own pace. Don't skip ahead though, all will come in to focus at the end (pun intended!!)
I had a couple of questions during the course so wrote a comment under the specific video and Mike was quick to come back with an answer.
Overall, I would thoroughly recommend this course if you want to learn how to be a better photographer and get more out of your camera.

Finishe'd the Master Course and going through again while on vacation in Santorini, Greece. Man how clear Steve makes it all.

Mike took some photos of me for my social media. Honestly, they could not have been better. He knows how to make you feel at ease and get the shot when you’re not looking. His prices are cheap compared to the value of a great social profile!

Attended Mike's beginners couse on the 1st June and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt a lot. Mike makes the course fun, interactive and informative. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn photography the correct way.

Immediately Mike made me feel welcome and relaxed. We were a small group and benefited from individual attention. Mike introduced us to new techniques and ensured we had Got it before moving on. In the pm he took us to a delightful beach and found several photo opportunities concentrating on light all very helpful.

Went on Mike's beginners workshop in Mudeford Quay on Saturday 1st June. What a brilliant day. Mike is a very good teacher. He explained everything in a very relatable and easy to understand way. He understood everyone's differing abilities and helped us all get as much as we needed out of it.
Gave 5 stars but would give more if possible. Would definitely recommend to anyone who's Interested in photography at what ever level they think they are. There's always more to learn.

Really enjoyed Mike’s one-day workshop at Mudeford. The small, informal group ensured that everyone got as much individual attention as they needed. Would highly recommend you “give it a lash”, as Mike might say.

The excellent direct attention we each received from Mike together with his informal teaching approach made for a great day, increasing my skills, confidence and motivation.
Thank you.

I just completed the 7 Building Blocks of Photography, which I took after the Masterclass course. This course was the perfect follow-up to the Masterclass as it honed in on each component, giving a detailed approach to each block. Mike Browne’s style was the overwhelming key to understanding and grasping each detail as he led me through the course. He is true to his down-to-earth nature but certainly elevates the subject matter through his experience and sensical delivery. He has taught me how to think creatively and helped me improve my technical skills. Although I have a ways to go, he has provided the basis for growth. Thank you, Mike.

The Zurich workshop was great - both the Satuday spent lakeside at Pfäffikon, and around Zurich itself on the Sunday. We'd a lovely group of international participants, with so many photo opportunities, and Mike was great for both help and coaching. What I learnt will certainly help develop my photography a little further. So I'd say, don't think too much about it, just do it - book a Mike Browne photo workshop.

I've just completed the masterclass which was excellent. I am not a beginner but found lots to learn and practice from the videos. Thoroughly recommended!

Mikes delivery of the course is excellent. Many teaching styles are delivered to grasp the modules. The content covered goes from the sublime novelist to the ridicules confident professional. So many mediums keep you glued to the teaching and information, and Mikes enthusiasm and professional support is outstanding.

Really enjoyed the course, found the videos easy to follow and correct pace for the course. The settings for the videos out doors and in doors are everyday places rather than a studio so are really relevant. Find it easy to revisit topics.
Exercises are great to focus learning & everyone needs a 'lobby'!
Thanks

Photo Feedback Group: heck yeah. For me getting to a workshop at this stage in life is next to impossible. To be a participant in the Photo Feedback group is the next best thing. To receive comments, insights, encouragement, and to participate in offering my own thoughts all contributes to a highly interactive learning environment where I could grow in my photography. Each person contributes and together we learn from one another in meaningful ways. We spark creative thinking, tweaking, push one another and have some fun together. A group for anybody no matter where you are in a photographic journey. It's an opportunity to take you on your next step.

I would highly recommend the Morocco workshop with Mike to any level photographer. The cultural experience is what sets this workshop above and beyond others in comparison. Apart from outstanding photo opportunities this trip also let me delve into the Moroccan way of life, something I will be eternally grateful for. It was absolutely a life changing experience for me

Mike joined our camera club via Zoom to give a presentation on The Decisive Moment. To say we got a quality evening of images, education, entertainment and enthrawling stories is an understatement.
Many members came up at the end of the talk to express their enjoyment and appreciation for such a great evening. It was like having an old friend come to speak, Mike is so natural and engaging....we nearly missed closing time as a result - no one wanted it to finish. Thanks for a great evening.

It was my first workshop with Mike. No, it was my first photography workshop ever! And I can tell you - it was a great experience. Long days with a lot of perfect spots at perfect time. Our group (6 photographers) with mixed characters inspired me. Mike ist not just an excellent photographer, he is an excellent driver as well ;-).
If you are a beginner, you can get the most out of this workshop if you watch Mike's videos (Masterclass in Photography is my favorite) before and do a lot of practice.
Thank you Mike!

I had a blast. This was a 9 day cultural experience with amazing photographic opportunities. It was full on from dawn to dusk and beyond. Mike is a wonderful mentor, we had really good group dynamics to learn from each other and our local guides understood photography. Would have liked a little more "down time" for reviewing our shots. Don't be shy, if you don't understand something or just want some tips, ask. Finally understood how to merge bracketed shots to increase dynamic range and a thank you to Vanessa in the group for assisting us all with astrophotography in the desert. Regarding currency, I suggest you use ATMs to obtain cash (dirhams) as required during the trip; the convenience outweighs any minor cost differential.

This course quite rightly deserves it's 5 star rating. The lessons are easy to follow and delivered in a logical order. Mike's teaching style left me wanting to get out and practice my newly acquired skills at every opportunity. There was more than one 'lightbulb' moment for me.

Mike is one of the friendliest and most entertaining tutors on the subject of photography. I found Mike by following a different YouTube channel and as a complete beginner to photography, things get confusing when trying to learn from YouTube. I've just completed the masterclass a 4-week course for beginners, Mike makes it so simple to learn everything is in the correct order that you need to learn it in. He does a great job of teaching the complexity of cameras in an easy to understand way that you learn the technical side of it without realizing you are doing it. If you'r new to photography taking his course is money well spent you won't be disappointed.
