ParkLet was launched in 2004 to offer an alternative to traditional parking. Parking had, and continues to, become ever more expensive and more difficult to find. Congestion and traffic is on the increase, whilst the government actively discourages the provision of parking spaces to try and encourage people out of their cars and onto crumbling public transport. The founder members had noticed unused private parking spaces in areas where parking was in high demand. ParkLet was created to offer an effective marketplace and management service for the letting of these parking spaces and garages. Over the years the team has grown, and our systems evolved to enable us to become the UK’s leading agent for parking spaces and garages. We currently have in excess of 20,000 spaces advertised to let, across the whole of the UK. Our Landlords include residential clients with a single space, as well as most of the national car park companies and councils, and most things in between. Our aim moving forwards is to remain completely focused on contract parking and garages, and continue to invest in our systems and staff so that we can offer our customers an ever improving experience.

This platform charges a lot of…

This platform charges a lot of commission. And anyways not getting much of parking requests here. I got this one request for 10 days on which such a high commission was charged 25 percent and vat on top of it. And I lost other parking requests for better price and longer duration because of the commitment here.

It was in the right area very nice area…

It was in the right area very nice area car was and felt safe for 5 night would certainly use it again for the area west end Hyde park Paddington ect very convenient. Don't need to see anyone as long as you park in the bay your told on email to do no problem 5stars from me

The tenant parked on my neighbours…

The tenant parked on my neighbours drive.
I had to pay my neighbour as well as buy them flowers. No apology.
I then get charged for renting my space.
The car remained under my neighbours front window blocking their window cleaner.
They couldn't use their own drive!
I wouldn't of minded so much but i provided a picture of my drive which is blocked paved. My neighbours is shingle.
I have a very unhappy neighbour, I am out of pocket.
I will not use this company again.

The idea is good

The idea is good , overall. But the customer service from the office team, which seems to be pretty much one or two people, is really bad. Kiara specially with her attitude.

Scammed and received two PCNs

I rented a rolling monthly parking space on parklet, this turned out to be a scam. I have received two PCNs, which I have to fight or pay.

The problem with Parklet is that the amount of due diligence that is performed on space owners is quite minimal, it seems only to be phone and email verification, which can easily be recreated.

When I reported my experience to the police, they told it was a civil matter, and they could do nothing.

However, customer support was quick to pick up the phone and all representatives were understanding and nice. I have not come to an agreeable solution from Parklet.

My advice would be to do proper verification on the space, it seems like anyone can review a space, without having stayed there.
