Dirty and unhygienic
We booked a last minute break at thorness bay. The only accommodation left was a basic caravan which we accepted however basic caravan does not mean it should be dirty. There was mould in the shower, fridge was filthy, the floor dirty, bedding dirty and the list goes in and on. I managed to get our caravan changed however the cleaning still wasn’t great. During these covid times you would
Think that a deep clean would at least mean a clean was done not just a quick wipe over.
The food at the boathouse was really nice and the covid measures put in place were very good however I think Parkdean need to employ better cleaners as all the reviews I have read have been very poor regarding their standards. Come on Parkdean sort your cleaning out or you will be the reason for a spike in the infection rates rising.

AVOID at all costs
If there was an option for no stars I would have left no stars. Arrived 28th May Southview Skegness to an owner's caravan (Upgraded through parkdean) I wasn't particularly comfortable with others people's belongings.
It was clear to see on arrival that the caravan had not been cleaned.
We had no internet Wi-Fi or data that end in the park so could not use your app to order anything. We did buy an internet package which still didn't work.
The caravan nextdoor seemed to think they owned our caravan too, They had three cars and in the excess of 10 people at their van all drinking outside till 3am with kids and digs running around our caravan.
I called security three times, twice to be told that they were otherwise engaged, the other time being told they would come out which they did not.
I spoke with the manager first thing Saturday morning, and just by shear luck she had a brand new that had recently been signed off. Let's not be mistaken that this was a fluke because I know the caravan park was full.
By the time we moved our belongings and all the shopping that I had done Friday, it was actually Saturday afternoon before we could think about enjoying our holiday.
We realised quite quickly that the caravan was not really ready, I called maintenance for a screwdriver in order to put the coat hangers in the cupboards, I was advised it would probably be quicker to do it myself then wait for maintenance which I proceeded to do. By sunday we realised that a wet patch had appeared in the carpet in the living room, we called maintenance who didn't seem to be bothered. It was getting progressively worse and we're unable to go into the front room without getting our socks wet so again I called security who said they pass it on to maintenance. By Monday nobody had come so I went down to reception myself. By this time I really felt like I had spent most of my holiday chasing your staff! Finally someone came out, the overall feeling was that the staff just we're not bothered.bothered about a brand new caravan.
I booked two swimming slots, I thought they would be allowed to stay in only to find out that they actually have to leave the pool and queue up again for another half an hour, which caused my son who has autism to have a complete meltdown waiting outside freezing cold. I do not understand this level of restriction when the same level of hygiene is not applied throughout the site, in particular the boat house. The tables and chairs were rarely wiped down or cleared.
We booked for bumpers zorbs which I booked over the telephone and and was under the impression it was in water. The overall experience was completely underwhelming for both children.
We tried to hire go-karts at various points during Saturday and Sunday but to no avail, around 3pm Sunday we spoke with staff who said to come back at 10 in the morning as they were shutting for the day (at 3pm???). We arrived at 9:45 Monday morning by 10:10, no sign of the go-karts, on acquiring I was told they weren't due to be operation till 11 a.m. at this point I became very angry as my husband was going home for the rest of the week, again your staff member was extremely kind and got two cars out for us but this still was not acceptable and the complaining was taking the toll on the atmosphere within the family.
I am pleased to say that kayaks and aqua jets were hit.
However archery that we had booked for the Tuesday was a complete disaster.
The Staff member was 15 minutes late and arrived looking like he had the hangover from hell, didn't knowledge us while setting up and was clearly having waves of nausea. He had trouble getting the balls to stay in the air flow, and eventually gave up and told the children just to shoot at the target at the back. More and more people arrived and he seemed unable to organise the task at hand. We gave up and the kind staff at leisure gave it us voucher for the go-karts. But still I felt like I'd spent more time I'm chasing and complaining then enjoying my holiday.
We had jet skis booked, I was surprised to learn that the children were too old as kids ages were told on booking. Although they rectified the immediate situation with the children, it was becoming apparent that our holiday was being severely affected. We couldn't even get into the show bar so we has little to show for our £800 holiday!
There is so much more to the review/disaster but I have run out of character spaces...... I am currently fighting with customer relations and cancellations to do a full refund for 2 upcoming holidays I have with parkdean. Because of the traumatic experience that my son has had there is no way we would be able to pay holiday with parkdean again due to his autism.
This is unfair!!!!!
Just because I can't finish the review, to put it into perspective we left the park early!

Very disappointed with Parkdean…
Very disappointed with Parkdean Hollywell Bay Cornwall. There was no internet in the welcome pack you could pay for it, the people who did pay could still not get the internet or even phone calls.
The Manager when I asked for help refused saying it was not his problem.
The caravan was not very clean, the bottom of the remote control was missing so the batteries kept falling out.
We were told by customer services bed linen was not included but when we got there it was.
We give Parkdean 1 out of 10 and will not be booking with them again.

Went for a 4 night stay and while…
Went for a 4 night stay and while traveling down there we received a call saying the caravan had a deap clean and is ready but there is a problem so ok here we go! He said there is no doors to the 2 small bedrooms and do we want a refund even tho we are 15 minutes away after a few hour drive. We agreed to stay and put sheets over the doors and they gave us a few vouchers for the park. WELL. We arrived and entered the deep cleaned van hoping for a great hoilday to find not only there is no doors on the bedrooms but no door on the toilet and the other toilet there is no lock and the window slammed shut on me and my kids plus the fact no one cleaned it it wasn't deep cleaned at all. So i went to speak to someone and they told me there send a cleaner round which we waited for hoping all will be fixed. The cleaner told me that this 600 pound van was used for security and shouldn't of been let out to anyone. So again we complained to be told that the cleaners are lieing to us. and while they cleaned it a manager come to see us. She offered a small van which wouldn't of worked as there is 5 of us and we needed that space. She offered vouchers again. Any how the vouchers we used in the restaurant and was told we couldn't use them in there so here we go again... I went up and asked her to be shouted out and I stepped up and told em straight which they didn't like. Well they took the voucher even tho on rhe vouchers is says restaurant and bar. It was a 55 pound meal and all gammon the gammon was rock hard and black it was gross. Next day we used the rest if the vouchers on a breakfast click and collect! The eggs was under cooked the bacon was hard so at this point I was just laughing as if I didn't I would of tip the van and left. We booked swimming for two nights and got turned away even tho we booked.... the place was not covid friendly they bring you your drinks on a tray and ask you to take them off but they order again there come over carrying your drinks and masks? Lol that's a joke and no one stays away from each other.. 3000 people on site for 1000 to be able to fit in the hall the drinks took over an hour to come. We'll first night we slept there the mattress was broken it dipped in the middle and the sofa was slanted.. the wardrobe doors are broken to and the toast was gross and set the alarm of every time. Not just that we had the van near the main road and some one was cutting the grass at 1am... what the hell.. after not sleeping I just went down hill felt rough and down the hoilday was just rubbish.. by the we been to parkdean vauxhall 4 years running not 2020 tho. And this just killed it for us and my friends who had a van across the road which We'll she had bad worse problems.

Dirty, broken cooker & microwave. No response from reception or out of hours team.
Re: Dirty, broken cooker & microwave. No out of hours service. Unanswered calls & Emails.
I arrived yesterday 21/05/2021 at Thorness Bay, staying in 52 Rosewood. I opened the USED welcome pack to read and found blood splatters on one of the leaflets.
This gave rise to checking the rest of the van. The top of the microwave was dirty, but that didn’t really matter as it did not work. Remains of human hair in the bathroom. Broken fixing on heated towel rail. On checking the cooker. The door fell off. Reception is now closed. No one is answering the out of hours security number. I’ve left two voice messages. I left voice messages for reception, again they remain unanswered. I also sent Emails to the thorness.helponpark @parkdean-resorts.com and the CEO. They too remain unanswered.
I will shortly visit reception. To waste more time on my holiday. And please too Kate don’t say you have no record of my complaint. When I am here and now and have attached a screenshot of my Email to you and your CEO. One thing I can confirm. Is no response from you or your team!
To say I am not best pleased, is an understatement.

ONLY BOOKED LAST NIGHT,NOW CANNOT CONTACT,ABYSMAL
Booked a short break last night, reservation came back thro` email was incorrect and needed to speak to some one.Tried their general contact No.03301234850 only to be greeted with a pre recorded message saying line was closed & to use "chat on line".I do not have this facility so next step phone the resort I booked, after queing for ages a message back saying the office was closed(although their site says open 8.00am til 6.00pm).
The reason I phoned was to query "the balance will be taken automatically using auto balance collection you signed up for"I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR THE BALANCE TO BE COLLECTED IN THIS WAY .
I made favourites on each stage of my booking & I now cannot retrieve any of them, the system just keeps hunting fo ever and aday.Obviously inhibited by Parkdean.Given the fact I wanted to pay the balance by a different method to the deposit this is highly inconvenient.
I can only summize this is the way Parkdean is trying to recoup some of it`s losses incurred during covid.
From this experience I can only look forward with intrepidation to our booked break.
ANYONE WHO BOOKS WITH PARKDEAN BEWARE AND WATCH OUT.

SouthView
SouthView - Skegness. We went for a 4 night stay in a lodge on the Parkdean SouthView complex. The accommodation was excellent, very clean with all the amenities you would expect. The park was very clean throughout, our stay was still in lockdown so nothing really available to do but we knew this before going. Lots of walk routes around the area, the beach was a 3 mile walk but well worth it, the beach is very clean and lovely sand. I would go back again.

I have been holidaying with Parkdean in…
I have been holidaying with Parkdean in Scratby and Yarmouth for over 5 years, some years I would go multiple times. Sadly I have decided to go elsewhere after our last holiday 3 weeks ago. I left a positive review on the Tuesday for their restaurant as staff working there were lovely sadly the rest of the holiday wasn't so good. When we arrived at the caravan it had been cleaned but I aleays go around everywhere with cleaning wipes and there were small food marks missed and a hair in the shower, not a big deal as I go over everything anyway and it was clear someone had attempted to clean however what was a big deal is our heating was temperamental from the bigging. We had assumed it was us not knowing what we were doing. The TV also didn't work at all! This was annoying but we had activities planned each day so decided to just get on with it as was planning on being out as much as possible. We were also placed right outside some construction work being carried out and although legal being woken up by drilling at 8am isnt what you want on holiday especially as your partner works in construction. On the 3rd night we arrived back to the caravan after being at the restuarant again (could do with some outdoor heating) where I jumped in the shower to find it was freezing cold! I went to find security where someone came out and explained the reason for our temperamental heating and freezing cold water would be nobody had connected the gas outside the caravan? Heating and water kicked in but then heating went back out within 10mins so went back to find security where they arrived and entered the caravan with no mask and no warning they had no mask, why are we keeping to restrictions but staff aren't? We want to be safe too. Anyway was told heating was fixed and could hear the boiler kicking in however it wasn't fixed! This time we called to complain but as it was late and was fed up we bundled the children together to keep us warm and left it. The day we left there were many friendly maintenance people arriving trying to rectify the problem however we were minutes from leaving the site. We were told qe would get a call around 7 that night to discuss what they going to offer.for the inconvenience, we didn't get the call. I chased them up the following week, I had a call from another park stating lady who's dealing with it is poorly and will call tomorrow, she didn't so waited till the Saturday and chased them up and was told she had been off all week, fair enough but im sure there are other staff who would be willing to get the matter resolved as quick as possible. Anyway the lady was polite and in the end I was left with 3 options. A upgraded caravan for when we come back in October, £19 refunded back from our holiday or a £25 voucher for food or drink. Given the fact we have holiday with them for 5 years and our loyal customers that use their facilities and have recommended them over the years and this was all they could offer we decided to take the £19 back and now cancelled our holiday in October with them. It's a shame there wasn't much loyalty and appreciation for thwir customers. This was our break away, I have children with SEN and we were looking for some resbite not a shambles. We will continue to visit Scratby as love the location, the beach, the locals and buisnesses however we shall now stay down the road at Haven. My advice would be to look after your customers better particularly thoses who stayed loyal to you over the years.

Beyond Speechless
I am beyond speechless. As a caravan owner, who has paid site fees yet not been allowed the privilege of going to my caravan this past year, except since 12th April. I made my first visit this past weekend, and found that come what may I could not turn the water on at the stop tap (this despite getting down on my arthritic knee - I am 64) and struggling. This since I had some caravan repairs done during lockdown, someone has obviously turned the water off very enthusiastically. I phoned the office and asked if one of the maintenance team (whose wages are paid within the site fees) could help me turn the tap back on. The maintenance man came out (2 min drive from the office) and a couple of minutes job, making no mention of any charges (around 7 minutes total time). This morning I received a bill from the new manager for £6.00 labour for turning on a tap. I have just phoned to make complaint and no one is answering the phone. Just typical. Disgusted if this is the new managers management style. Barmston Beach.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE, PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF FROM THE HASSLE.
I booked a holiday for my family for almost £600 I had to cancel because of Covid so I changed my date (they turned my cash into a voucher or I would lose my money) then I changed dates was ready to go again Corona hit this time they cancelled my booking and said I couldn't get any of my money back.
I then received an email saying I will be compensated £10, I have lost out nearly £560 these thieves (Parkdean) are disgusting they have preyed on people's finances during this pandemic that has seen so many people suffer under hardship.
I will be starting a petition against Parkdean and other companies who have gained at the expense of others through their cunning plans to rob you off your money.
The customer service is shambolic to say the least I would not recommend this company to anyone. I am now locked into discussions with them to retrieve my money. ( I am not confident in any way but fingers crossed)
Always read reviews its important, had I done this I would never be in this situation.

QUICK TO CANCEL MY STAY AND KEEP DEPOSIT
I bought my caravan stay through Daily Mail £15 breaks, 5 or 6 months ago, paid £60 deposit. Out of the blue (9/03/2021) i received an email from Park dean stating they were unable to contact me and as my balance was to be paid the day before the email, my stay was cancelled and deposit was non refundable. In the terms it did state final payment was due 12 weeks before stay began. But come on, lets be serious here, what with lock down twice, pandemic rife, future unknown, people and resorts lockdown and booking my 5 day break 5 months ago, is it unusual to forget final payment, is it really fare to cancel my stay and, it is a lie, you did not try to contact me, before your email stating you had cancelled my stay. I spent that same day on the telephone trying to contact you, left messages but received no reply from you, i emailed you three times and not had a reply. OK people are working from home, but you never did advise my final payment was due, that is a lie and i feel it could be a rip off, are you are cancelling peoples stays?, keeping their deposits and reletting the caravans as you know that due to the Covid19, people will want to get away, even just for a few days and you will easily resell my stay slot. It`s not the loss of my deposit or the cancelled 5 day break even, it`s the fact you said you had tried to contact me when you and I know that is so very untruthful and not what i would expect from a large company and the public should be made aware how low you can be

When we arrived there was 2 random people walking out our caravan, we reported it to reception due to Covid we wanted it cleaned. All they did was wipe the main door handle.
We had to clean the caravan our selfs before it was actually fit to stay in for the week.
A list of faults
Popcorn under and down back of the seats
Sofa was broken
Bathroom window was broken
Main bedroom wardrobe was letting water in from somewhere so all the clothes got wet
Cigarette burns in the carpet
Sticky marks on the carpet
Lounge carpet was wet through
Blood stains on the sofa
Ants nest outside the door which was going in the caravan
Crumbs all over work tops and on the floor.
Half way through the week we was all poorly due to living in a caravan with a wet carpet. My 3 year old was really poorly.
I reported this to reception who refused to move us to another caravan.
I have recently tried to contact them and I’ve been called a liar by 3 different people I’ve spoke to. The manager of customer relations says he will ring you back but never does and refuses to speak in the phone when you ring him.
I am taking this further and would advise anyone to stay away unless you like staying somewhere that is dirty and being called a liar oh and has no idea about Covid!!!
I am taking it further to the local paper and trading standards because people need to know how you really get treat and spoken to.
Terrible untrustworthy company
We have been owners for a number of years and have added pitch enhancements agreed by parkdean. Since having a review that our pitch is fine by the site manger at Valley farm head office henchmen are bullying my 70 year old mum and dad about there flower pots and flower beds and storage sold to us by Valley Farm. They have now made the short time we could use our holiday home.e during this pandemic a living hell. Over £100,000 investment in a family holiday home we now hate. DO NOT BUY OR TRUST PARKDEAN.
This company is absolutely terrible
This company is absolutely terrible, the customer service is none existant and they have a "computer says no mentality". We booked our first caravan weekend getaway with them and paid our deposit of £85 and were advised to make the final balance payment closer to the time. We received an email 5 weeks ahead of the travel date which said payment was due in 2,5 weeks time. We waited for a further update closer to the time and yet nothing appeared. Finally, we recieved an email saying our final payment deadline had past the day before and as the final payment had not been made our holiday had been cancelled automically. No problem I thought, a minor mishap on our behalf for which a call to customer service ( 40 minute hold time) with my payment card in hand should sort it. How wrong I was!! Holiday cancelled, Parkdean are unable to reinstate the booking or provide any refund of the amount paid to date. Despite missing the payment deadline by 13 hours, we were told that there was nothing that could be done, however they could honour the same dates and package if we paid them the full amount of the holiday over the deposit amount already paid previously. Errrm... so you think that anyone wants to stay at your resort after you display such disregard and lack of empathy for your customers who missed final balance payments by a matter of hours / days, and then have the cheek to offer the same stay for only the original amount paid in full in addition to the money (deposit) already taken... For clarity, yes it is upon me to ensure payment was made on time. But let's be realistic, these things happen, it's 2020 not 1989!!! Also, look around, we aren't exactly living in 'normal' times currently are we. Park Dean should be doing everything it can to bring in customers to its parks!!!! We previously booked with Haven in the past and had repeated emails from them right up to payment day and they even confirmed during a call that had we missed final balance payment they would have given 48 hours grace. Look and learn Park Dean you robbing bunch of no gooders! Needless to say. We will never book a holiday through this company and they will never see business from our friends or family. Stay at Haven and feel appreciated for your business...
