Absolutely terrible service and support. Unless you are highly technical and never need assistance, I strongly advise against using them. Their support team does not read the issue properly and responds with generic documentation, even when detailed explanations and screenshots are clearly provided.
This shows a complete lack of effort and accountability. I would never recommend this service to anyone. I have all the ticket numbers and can provide full proof or clarification if required.

Top quality servers, great customer service.
Our company has been a customer at OVHcloud for a decade now, and both the products and service have always been top notch. We run hosting for about 200 Wordpress sites, and their performance has never been this good.
We very recently hit a bump when cancelling one of our bare metal servers, where the commitment lapsed and renewed itself when it wasn't supposed to happen. The Claims department was understanding and cancelled our commitment renewal [CS15080302], and took less than a day to resolve this.
As I mentioned earlier, we've been using OVHcloud servers for over a decade now, and we will definitely continue doing business with them for the foreseeable future, as we are 100% satisfied with everything.

Took a long time to settle a simple error of double billing. The original support Agent could have fix it in a breeze but he/she prefered to be rude.

They nuked my server and all its data because of a fake address
I spent a full day migrating my project from a free host to my first—and obviously now my last—VPS at OVH, hoping for something more stable and professional. The irony is so thick it’s suffocating.
Yes, I used a fake address for signup. I live in an active war zone. Addresses here are theoretical.
Here’s what “professional” looks like at OVH:
Silent termination. No email. No ticket. My service just went dark without a note. I spent hours trying to diagnose it—SSH failed, the client panel said “login incorrect,” password recovery sent nothing. Radio silence. My project was just gone.
I had to hunt down their Twitter account to learn I’d been permanently banned by "fraud prevention" team. No prior contact. No chance to explain, verify, or even back up my data. Their support’s response was a robotic: “Account closed. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.” You weren’t sorry. You were indifferent.
Punishment: total data annihilation. My crime? A fabricated address. Not spam, not abuse, not illegal content. A form field. Your response? To incinerate my VPS and every hour of work I’d put into it. Now I get to spend another day rebuilding from zero—because OVH values checkbox compliance over human context.

Update. Issue resolved. I got my data from the VPS, which is back online with all my data intact. While the initial suspension was quite stressful, it was rather justified. The support team showed flexibility and effort to resolve the situation properly. Their servers are fast, affordable, and the service has been solid.
Lesson learned: Provide accurate information from the start to reduce the chance of issues.

Don't use OVH services
I was happy with the performance and stability of my OVH VPS. However, trying to cancel the service was a nightmare. They did not honor my termination request and kept deducting monthly payments. Despite my efforts with their accounts and support teams, the issue was never properly resolved. I've used several other VPS providers without these problems. OVH makes it so difficult to leave that it completely ruins the overall experience and any chance of me coming back.

"Unjust Enrichment and Zero Accountability: A Warning to Business Users"
I am writing this review to warn potential customers against paying for long-term plans with OVHcloud. My experience has been nothing short of a disaster.
The Situation: I prepaid for a 1-year VPS subscription to host a testing environment for my company. Approximately 7 days into the service, the server was compromised. Instead of offering a rescue mode or a standard mitigation solution, OVH unilaterally terminated the contract and permanently deleted the server.
The Financial Abuse: While I accept their right to terminate a compromised service, I do not accept theft. OVH has refused to refund the remaining 358 days of the prepaid subscription. They effectively charged me for a full year of service but only delivered one week. Legally and ethically, this constitutes "Unjust Enrichment." They are retaining funds for a service they explicitly refused to render.
The Support Nightmare: The post-termination support is a bureaucratic loop designed to make you give up:
Tech Support refuses to help, claiming it's a "Sales issue."
Sales Department is unreachable. They do not accept tickets, and the "Request a Callback" feature is non-functional (no one called back).
Account Lockout: To make matters worse, I am now locked out of my account. The "Password Reset" emails are never sent, effectively cutting off my only communication channel to reclaim my funds.
Verdict: OVH has taken my money, terminated my service without a pro-rata refund, and ghosted me. If you value your consumer rights and your budget, DO NOT pay annually. You risk losing your entire investment if they decide to pull the plug.

I am in receipt of your reply dated 07Jan 2026, the content of which is wholly unacceptable and legally baseless. Your attempt to hide behind "Terms of Use" to justify the misappropriation of prepaid funds for services never rendered will not be tolerated.
1. Vicarious Liability and Victim Blaming: Your assertation that my account was closed due to "abusive use" is a distortion of reality. The security compromise occurred due to the vulnerability of the infrastructure provided. By failing to offer standard mitigation protocols (such as Rescue Mode or Traffic Scrubbing) and instead opting for immediate termination, OVHcloud is punishing the victim for a crime committed against them. You are effectively penalizing a customer for the inadequacy of your own defensive measures.
2. Unjust Enrichment and Lack of Consideration: While you reserve the right to terminate service, you do not have the legal right to confiscate funds for the remainder of a contract you refused to honor. I paid for 365 days of service and received approximately 7 days. Retaining the balance for the remaining 358 days constitutes "Unjust Enrichment" under international commercial law principles. You are retaining a financial benefit without providing the corresponding service (Consideration), which renders this aspect of your Terms of Use unconscionable and legally void.
3. Arbitrary & Draconian Practices: By acting as judge, jury, and executioner, OVHcloud has adopted a predatory stance akin to asset seizure without due process. Unilaterally declaring a breach of contract to justify keeping a customer’s annual prepayment is not "security compliance"—it is, in effect, corporate piracy. No legitimate business operates by confiscating a client's entire investment based on a single, remediable security incident.
4. Final Demand: I demand an immediate pro-rata refund for the unused period of my subscription.
Failure to remit these funds, will leave me no choice but to:
File a formal chargeback with my financial institution citing and VISA "Services Not Received."
Report these predatory billing practices to relevant consumer protection agencies and telecommunications regulators.
Escalate this matter publicly to warn other potential enterprise clients of the financial risks associated with OVHcloud.

While purchasing a server and after entering my credit card details, I was surprised by a $160 charge. When I contacted support, they told me I had ordered a Public Cloud with 52 instances, which I never did and never used. This looks like a hacking or unauthorized action, yet OVH allowed it and charged me anyway. Now support is taking forever without giving a clear solution.

OVH banned my server without warning or any real attempt to assist. Instead of notifying me about suspicious activity or guiding me through securing the system as a new customer, the only response I received was a generic line: “you should secure your system.”
That isn’t support.
A responsible provider flags issues, informs the client, and helps prevent escalation especially when dealing with paying customers who are still learning the platform. Mistakes happen, and proper communication prevents them from turning into shutdowns.
OVH terminated my service, kept the payment, offered no explanation of the root cause, and left me unable to correct or avoid the issue in the future. What’s worse: even after banning and closing the VPS, the subscription wasn’t cancelled. So the system would continue billing me unless I noticed and manually stopped it. If the contract is truly terminated and the VPS permanently closed, then the subscription should not remain active.
That combination no warning, no guidance, no transparency, no refund, and ongoing billing is not how a company builds trust or retains customers.
