Love this brand - bought 3 different pair. Will buy more when they get new styles. Good quality leather and craftsmanship. Well worth the price. Very comfortable for barefoot shoe enthusiasts.

This company is extremely difficult to work with. They charge shipping for purchase and they also charge a restocking fee if you return. I understand that companies like to minimize shipping cost however shoes are not something that you can wear a little loose or more fitted. It either fits or it doesn't. They need to have a better return policy. I ordered a pair of shoes based off their size chart and they were too short when I got them - so the size chart was not accurate. I exchanged them for a half size up and now they are slipping off. So if I return them now I would have to pay return shipping and a restocking fee. When you add everything up I would have to pay $30 to return shoes. Not to mention it's been a month and half process so far from when I ordered the first pair of shoes. It's not even close to done yet. I still need to get approval to return and send back the exchanged shoes wait until inspection which is probably going to be another 3 weeks before I get any sort of refund back. Customer service (which is only by email) takes forever to respond.
Returns? forget it...they don't respond to emails I'm stuck with a shoe too large for me. Promised to get an exchange as my shoes were over the 30 return policy. If I bought another pair they would return the first pair. It hasn't happened yet.

These shoes are roomier than regular shoes, but they are NOT wide toe-box shoes. They don't fit like other shoes which are made by companies that really care about the health of your feet (i.e. Xero).
I ordered my regular size, and they fit fine until I took a long walk. I developed a blister on my toe. The company would not take my shoes back, since they had been worn. So, I am stuck with shoes that I can wear rarely if at all.
...because it got lost somewhere between the USA and Austria. However, the customer service was very helpful. I received a full refund, including shipping costs.

Never buying from them again. Please do not purchase or support this company. Their return policy is a scam. If I had the time and lawyer money I would've sued them. But these shoes caused my feet to bleed from the back. There's no cushion in the back. That's fine, some people may not have as sensitive feet as I do. But when I cannot wear a shoe I expect to at least exchange it. I did not even ask for a refund just simply exchange. I sent photos of the condition which is brand new and they stopped replying. I know barefoot journey is drastic but do yourself a favor and support a different a company that actually cares about you.
I ordered a size 10 but the confirmation email I received for the order was for a size 8. I emailed them immediately. The emails I received from them repeatedly stated that the order had already be filled and shipped despite that I emailed them within minutes of placing the order and the shipper not acknowledging receipt of the packages days later. Once I receive the shoes I immediately sent them back. The returned order has since been delivered back to the company but now they won't respond to my emails trying to get them to acknowledge receipt of the returned order and details on when the replacement order will be sent.
I emailed customer service for a return. They emailed me back once and never replied back again. Now I’m stuck with the shoes. Thank you Origo for terrible customer service. Would I recommend this company? no.

The Huarache Sandal by Anya × 1 Tan / 8
These shoes are beautiful, well made, and I want every color and style. BUT they are ONLY FOR PEOPLE with FLAT and VERY SKINNY feet.
I want to give a ZERO STAR rating - the pair I purchased are at this moment thrown under the side porch! SO ANNOYED - TERRIBLE PURCHASE!
Because Anya's site makes it SOUND LIKE these shoes are for real feet and are comfortable - they are not - these shoes were apparently designed for Anya's very own feet and will not fit any other foot unless it is NARROW, ULTRA LOW VOLUME, and completely FLAT with ZERO arch! Too bad - Anya's poor advertising (false, but not purposely false) and very poor descriptions of what these shoes are like.
Just read the various reviews/comments on Anya's site - many have been removed - of course - some truncated - of course - but still there are a number of customers who REGRET their UNWISE purchases because they believed what Anya said about these shoes but found out something VERY DIFFERENT when they attempted to wear these incredibly skinny, uncomfortable, waste of $100 shoes. (As another reviewer here said - if worn/"worn" (put on feet, stepped on floor) the shoes are not returnable.
I was so excited when these sandals came out! Finally in December my size was in stock, I carefully measured every aspect of my feet (my VERY lean feet with absolutely zero meat on any part,) and ordered. Sadly these DO NOT FIT, are VERY difficult to pull on, and DEFINITELY NOT COMFORTABLE. My feet are not really wide and these sandals are so much narrower than any huarache I've ever found in just regular old retail.
Certainly the skinny latigo of super thin leather should stretch in time/with wear/& lots of walking, but they will CRUSH my forefeet in the meantime. I'm really sad about this and wish that I had returned them, but instead wore them around for a couple weeks thinking they would stretch - they have not stretched at all yet.
They are definitely "minimalist" and that probably should be their only claim to fame - flat, skinny, uncomfortable. If your feet are a usual length::width ratio (ie. SKINNY and absent any anatomy) and your arch is FLAT/no arch/VERY low volume then you may be ok.
Another point to consider is the density/hardness of your tissues, the softness of your dermis, and the flexibility of your tendons/ligaments/other tissues. I have uber flexible dancer’s feet and although they are also super strong muscularly, these sandals really constrict my feet and squeeze bones/joints out of whack.
Just as a point of reference, the dimensions of my feet (both feet’s measurements are stunningly identical): (2.54cm/in)
Foot Length: 9.25" / 23.5cm
Instep height: 2.5” / 6.3cm
Ball width: 4" / 10.2cm
Width at widest point: 4" / 10.2cm
Width at narrowest point: 2" / 5.1cm
Ball girth: 8" / 20.3cm
Instep girth: 8" / 20.3cm
Narrowest point girth: 7.5" / 17.8cm
Heel girth: 8.5" / 21.6cm (girth of foot right in front of ankle)
Girth of foot right in front of ankle: 8.5" / 21.6cm
All of these personal factors make these sandals unusable for me. Just some things to consider before sinking $100 that you can neither use nor return. Blah.
Dear Origo Folks, Anya's INCORRECT descriptions about the design/construction of these shoes unfortunately reflect badly on you because they are uncomfortable and UNWEARABLE - but Anya SAID they were otherwise - I research VERY CAREFULLY - before I waste $100 on online purchases. I will never not be MAD about this entire process and I will continue to post and tell people not to purchase these shoes - or any shoes Anya recommends because I have learned that those recommendations cannot be trusted. At all. AnyaReviews.com really needs to do better. People don't have money to waste and don't like it when they are misled to do so.
About Origo Shoes' shipping issues - I too had a problem - and had difficulty communicating with Origo about it - when I placed this order, their system AUTOFILLED the SEND-TO address as a friend of mine in a town 300 miles away! There was NO REASON this should have happened - I figured it out myself, it's something about the $card-processing that they use, it incorrectly captures whatever addresses are in some "previously sent to" file... I completely inadvertently/accidentally saw this - and messaged Origo asap - no response, repeatedly - but I knew that the shoes would go to my friends instead of my house UNLESS I went crazy on TELLING them to fix it - THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER (of course) and so you just have to rely on whoever they have checking email to Look Alive and Pay Attention! FINALLY the person fixed the address - but it should NOT HAVE HAPPENED in the first place. It's mostly Anya's fault but I won't order from either of them again.
I want to exchange but they never reply
Beware. I wonder if this is a scam company
We bought 3 pair of shoes. 2 men’s and my women’s pair. The 2 men’s pairs were much too narrow for my partners very wide feet. The women’s pair too small. We measured our feet prior and are seasoned barefoot shoe wearers. Unfortunately with barefoot shoes sizing can be wildly off and you need to return from time to time. I’ve never had an issue returning or exchanging with any other small barefoot shoe business.
Origo received all 3 pair back and refused to return the 2 white bottom shoes but returned gum bottom. They said the white sole shoes couldn’t be returned bc they were worn. All pairs were tried on in the house that is it then reboxed. Clearly white soles show dust normal floor residue more than the gum sole
They never responded until I reached out seeing if my exchange was on the way. Telling me that the two white sole shoes could not be exchanged or returned because clearly they were used???
…But they were willing to make an exception and give me $95 credit in exchange for over $225 worth of shoes. Are you kidding me. It costs over $100 to try their shoes on that didn’t even fit properly, plus shipping back. I’ve never had such over the top lowballing customer service in my life. It’s a shame because I was really excited about their products.
Perhaps they should send dust covers for the bottoms of their shoes , a magic eraser and require pics sent before someone returns.
I think their response was overkill and now you’ve lost two good customers.
Never buying form their website ever again. I don't know where my package is, the information on the website is false and irrelevant and does not match the reality.
They said they would leave the package at the postal office and send me a text message to pick it up. The package is not there and the text never came. I know the carrier is not Origo, but I paid to Origo and the carrier they chose is the worst in the world. Not worth the headache
Edit update: Unfortunately, I have to change this review. This first part was a pleasant experience, but it ended there. When I went to order my shoes, nowhere on the website was it obvious that they had changed their sole which meant changing the sizing of ALL their shoes. I ordered the same usual size, and when they arrived, they didn't fit. I contacted them and they said they'd changed their sole and I should have checked the sizing chart. I feel like they didn't want the customers to know that the sizing changed because I couldn't find that information when I went back to look. Why not have a banner or red text for anyone who had previously purchased? returning for a new size was an absolute nightmare, and the person I was emailing with was incredibly unpleasant and unhelpful. By the time I got the new pair, I wanted to sell them; it left such a bad taste.
Origo shoes are not only very comfortable but also a great company. This was the second pair of barefoot shoes I've ever bought and the fit was perfect with accurate sizing. I ended up having a little issue with some stitching and they not only stepped up, and responded right away but also took great steps to help rectify the situation. I highly recommend them for quality products but for customer service and awareness of environmental impact. Their shoe soles are made of plant-based biopolymer and thermoplastic rubber which makes them more earth friendly! I look forward to buying my next pair.
