The trip was well planned by Orbis and went smoothly with no problems. The lodging that was chosen were small and well run with very friendly staff and proprietors. Luggage transfers and taxi pickups were on time. What Orbis did and accomplished, made our religious pilgrimage stress free enjoyable! We will definitely use Orbis again and highly recommend them!

I had without question the most magical two weeks of my life (I walked the Camino way). I didn’t do this earlier in life because I thought it would be too much stress and planning. An advert popped up for Orbis and I just took the plunge. To say I didn’t have to do anything (other than walk of course) would be an understatement. They took care of everything, it was so well planned, I just had to walk to my destination each night, and hey presto everything was there with a huge a welcome. I stayed in some beautiful hotels along the way and the service I received from Carmen and Patricia at Orbis, if I did have any questions was so super prompt and efficient it was all an absolute pleasure. Do use this company if you want a stress free holiday / pilgrimage / see world ect … can’t fault a thing

All the arrangements went according to plan with no hitches and the rooms were perfect, just as advertised

One of the worst travel experiences I have ever had. The google maps were off - the transfers rarely happened. The hotels were not what they said. On one of the days- labeled "7 waterfalls" all water was gone and had been dried up for months- Please be aware of this company- they have NO idea what they are doing in Croatia.

Everything worked out according to plan. Hotels were great and the luggage arrived ahead of us every time.
The O'Lambrans villa was amazing, and the staff was extremely attentive to our needs. Suggest you push it harder, even though it is a bit out of town, but not too far to walk.
El Camino will be remembered fondly for the rest of our lives.

It went bad from day one. When we arrived at the first hotel we were staying at, there was no luggage tags for the luggage transfers.
We had paid for our evening meals to be included, but the quality at the second hotel was poor, the Premi course was overpowered by truffles and the Secondi course was dry and uninteresting.
The third hotel we stayed at we were charged €360 for two evening meals, even though we had requested evening meals to be provided.
The fourth accommodation was supposed to be a hotel, but it was a very run down B&B, with no hot food provided, sub-standard would not describe this place adequately.
Overall, the evening meals provided were very poor quality and the accommodation was not as advertised.
I emailed Orbis Ways on the first day with no response and twice after I returned home before they finally responded. Their response didn't provide any solution to my issues and there was no apology for the poor service.

Great hotels selected each night, no worries with bags being moved and everything organised perfectly

It was easy to book through ORBIS. Everything worked out well … the accommodation, the taxi rides, the transport of baggage. Staff answered all questions relatively quickly and were polite and respectful. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk, though some of the days were quite demanding for people in their late seventies.

Everything worked perfectly. The hotline was also available very quickly and was very helpful. The price-performance ratio is perfect.

The trip was a great trip. Transfer of luggage was great. Hotels were top notch. Would I ask Orbis to book me another trip, absolutely. Jorge was so helpful and always there to answer any questions. He made this trip easy.
Thank you Jorge, you’re amazing.
Cheers Colleen

SEE BELOW MY REVIEW:
Orbis Ways responded 10 MONTHS after I submitted this review. That shows you how much they “value feedback” from travelers who spend THOUSANDS of dollars and TRUST that the service provider is legit. I would strongly discourage anyone from putting their confidence in Orbis Ways.
We booked a walking tour along the Fife Coastal Path. The directions and package we received were insufficient in both detail and quality. There is no information included on local restaurants, hidden gems or alternate routes in cases where there may be extreme heights along the path, etc. in addition, a large part of the path along our route was closed due to erosion and there was no information included in our package on this. We actually stopped using our package and went to ChatGPT for more detailed information. When I reached out to our rep with my concerns, the response was “did I reach out to the 24 hour hotline?”. In the package, it says this line is for EMERGENCIES. Also, we got more information from people on the trail who approached us because we looked lost. In one part of our package, it lists a visitor centre near caves but there aren’t any specific directions on where the visitor centre is, and we couldn’t find it. One part of the path required a steep descent down the side of a CLIFF where the only other option than walking down a narrow cliffside trail was to LOWER YOURSELF BY CHAINS. Again, no forewarning or information on alternate routes. Internet connection was poor on some parts of the path for some of our party and if at least one of us didn’t have access to an online map, we would have been, for lack of a better term, screwed. In addition, the quality of the package itself was poor. It was a simple downloadable pdf. No hard copy was provided. I have used other walking tour companies and a waterproof hard copy as well as an app is available. No luggage tags were provided for luggage transfers - a smaller detail but still a nice touch included with other companies. Bottom line is, and I expressed this to Orbis Ways and still feel this is the case, I don’t believe anyone from Orbis Ways has ever set foot on the Fife Coastal Path. I believe their information came from Google searches. They may be experts in other countries - but I would caution anyone who is looking for a walking tour in Scotland to use this company. There are better ones out there who guarantee that their staff personally walks the trails and provide much better and more detailed information and a better quality product overall. Very disappointed for having spent the money with this company - other than booking accommodations (which were average quality although the staff were all lovely) and transferring luggage, I’m not sure what my $4885 CAD paid for.

I travelled with Orbis Ways as a solo pilgrim, doing the last 114 km stretch from Sarría to Santiago de Compostela. There were many other solo pilgrimage, more women than men.
I had to go out of my introvert comfort zone to talk to other pilgrims and every day I met some interesting people to walk with for a while and practise my languages. The hotels were really comfortable and welcoming, some of them in the middle of nowhere were OUTSTANDING. The hosts would pick me up in a town along the trail and drop me back there the n3xt day.
Internet reception was great everywhere. The landscapes were beautiful, lots of cute and stunning pubs and restaurants along the way. The stone villages were something else. Some of them very poor and dilapidated with dried animal dung on the streets, some beautifully restored.
The trail is wide and doable, sometimes very stony and steep and pretty often we walked a few km on roads or alongside the roads. Definitely wear solid hiking boots, not trainers!
Inspite of the many touching and improvised shrines I felt no spiritual vibe, even in the stunning old town of Santiago de Compostela and the cathedral. I am not a religious person...it is just something that occurred to me. That said I attended two beautiful masses were the locals mingled with the pilgrims even before the absolute highlight, the pilgrims' mass in the stunning Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

The service was second to none
The luggage transfer was prompt and I watched the driver carefully cross check information before loading any luggage into his van
The accommodation was exactly as expected and the dossier outlining each step of the journey was extremely thorough

Orbis Ways did an outstanding job communicating with us and organizing our trip! The accommodations were great and the luggage transfer service was seamless and on time every day!

Every detail was perfect as described prior to the walk. The luggage transfer was much appreciated and didn't miss a beat. Thankyou for a great job.

I did the south scottish highland way hike. Accommodation, breakfasts were great. Everyone very helpful and friendly. Luggage transfer was great. Orbis I think should add an extra day of hiking like 20+ km or so to a village on the route. This hike ended with accommodation hours away from the
hike end and no services to be had like restaurants etc.. 1 train or bus a day. A water bus and taxi needed to be prearranged the day before the ladt day which is near impossible when hiking rural. Another end point /village further would make the hike topnotch. Also the maps they said
were going to be in great detail were not. A Map app link would have been nice. The actual hike was breath taking scenery. I would recommend this hike and if possible the whole highland way route. Midges did make an appearance down by the warmer lake areas. Be prepared. Good rain
gear and footwear is necessary too. Wear layers as temperatures /weather change frequently. I purchased a wool cap which was helpful and I had offers to buy my gloves ha ha ha, on the colder days.

Upfront information and booking good, hotels fine in the main. However, they arranged for our bags to be moved forward to our hotels and the carrier damaged my case. The pull handle was pulled out so hard it wouldn’t retract and I would not have been able to take it on a flight. It was in their care. Orbis only support after several emails and calls was to offer 40 euros compensation through their insurance. It didn’t solve the main issue of a case that I couldn’t fly with and the compensation offered was insulting
