Competetive price, great car, insurance not that expensive compared to some. Recommended.

We had a last minute booking but nothing was a problem. The staff were very accommodating, definitely recommend.

Reasonable price and car was in great condition, staff were friendly and efficient, no problem after we changed location on returning the car. Our only issue was we should have ordered the sat nav but that was our mistake.

No issues at all, car performed like a beast and circumnavigated south island with ease. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.

they were very helpful I hired the car in .. Christchurch and drove all the way to Auckland. I was disappointed I took the car back 2 days earlier, because I had to catch an urgent flight back to Australia .I feel I should have been credited 2 days.

Rented a car for 10 days with them while visiting New Zealand- they were recommended by friends who live in Christchurch - and thoroughly recommend them. No hard sell of excess insurance, great price and straightforward to deal with.

asian lady who was looking after chch office was very abrupt we called in to see if we could pick car up 1 day early
happy to pay for additional cost.seemed to be full of cars anyway we couldnt pick a car till 12o'c next day car needed servicing however seemed over 30 cars available
she was training new person and was very abrupt everytime we asked question took over 20 minutes to fill in forms
new employee was very embarrassed i have never met somone so abrupt.example we would start to ask question she would put her hand to tell us to stop talking.
anyway next day we picked up car at noon new person served us all okay
on 5thday car we stopped car for 10 minutes to look at views above hills in stockton mines ,car would restart flat battery
luckky motorists came by who had jumper leads and car restarted.
when we got back to westport rung you call centre and new car was arranged for us to pick up in nelson.

we then proceed on to drop car off at chch airport branch.we were flying out on wednesday morning and called in on tuesday afternoon to arrange being dropped off on wednedsay morning at airport
staff member there said they we all losing jobs on wednesday night and we had to get our own way to airport
as we couldnt risk missing flight on wednesday we dropped car off on tuesday.
not very impressed with service again

we are out of pocket by $38.00 taxi fares from rental depot to motel and motel to airport

It is easy to book, pleasant staff, car was clean. It is good company.

Picking up the car was easy. Great car, very clean and comfortable and in good condition. Staff were very helpful and understanding when we had to return the car early.

Good experience, but the woman on the reception when I was in Christchurch to pick up my car make a big mistake... She charge me 300 $ NZD more... I say that the price was wrong and after she change the price for the real value. Normally it is a mistake, but it is a big mistake of 300 $ NZD...

Generally cheaper than the competitors. Good quality of service and very friendly and attentive staff. They gave me a higher range car without additional fee, because they found that following the returns of the cars available in the range I was supposed to get, they needed further security maintenance. As I was renting for a month, they accepted that on my request and depending of their availability, I could change back to a smaller car and that's what we did very smoothly, after 2 weeks. The car were both functional, well maintained, clean and comfortable.

I booked a car through Booking.com around 6 months ago to pick up from Drive NZ. I arrived at the Christchurch airport to be told that there was no booking in my name or reference number. After spending $100 in taxi fairs and many phone calls, I rang Omega Rental Cars. They were very helpful over the phone and cheaper than Booking.com, for the same model car.
I found the Asian lady at Christchurch City a little abrupt with me and the other staff members, but the young lady at the Christchurch Airport where I dropped the car off at no extra cost, was very helpful and polite, and she was good enough to drop us off at Jucy Snooze, our accommodation for the night. The car was in good condition with only a fiew scratbes and minor dints. I will be hiring a car through Omega when I return to New Zealand in the future.

Although we had no booking we received a vehicle just a couple hours later! Thanks a lot Angela!

One negative. Bought damage cover has $5,000 cost of single vehicle accidents, or any damage hire driver charged by police. Note !!!!!

We were very happy with the car and everything went very smoothly. We took out the top insurance cover so we also had piece of mind. Their rates were very reasonable and infact the cheapest around. We collected the car in Christchurch and dropped it off in Nelson. Then they took us to the airport. I can recommend Omega Car Rental.

Staff were efficient and friendly, in and out with the car in a few minutes.
