MyTrip refusing to process refund over imaginary unverifiable deadline

After a very long winded dispute process. MyTrip are refusing to process a promised refund. With some claim over there being a deadline for the closure of my chargeback dispute. This deadline does not exist. I have forwarded legal, valid documents confirming the closure of such dispute. They ignore this evidence, and when I ask for their evidence - there is nothing. What they have sent me is unverifiable, and simply words on a page. No bank verification, no document of an internal deadline.

Purchase a flight through someone else, or better yet, direct through the airline. It may be more expensive but the process I am going through is a long winded, unfunny, joke. The next step for me is a small claims court.

Do not book with MyTrip

Do not book with MyTrip. Their customer service is non existent. I am fighting for my life trying to get a copy of a 'no-show' letter for my travel insurance. The latest reply from them, after lots of back and forth already, is them asking me to 'contact them before my flight departs', which was 5 weeks ago.

Shady Business

I had booked a flight through them well in advance. Two weeks before my departure, I received a message stating that my flight had been cancelled and that I should request a refund, as rebooking was not possible. To my surprise, the flight still appeared as active on both airlines’ websites and apps. Later, I checked FlightAware, and the flight was still operating normally.

I contacted MyTrip dozens of times to confirm, but was consistently assured that my flight had been cancelled, that the airlines would update the status soon, and that my only option was to request a refund—which I eventually did. Yet, up until the supposed day of my trip, the flight remained confirmed on the airlines’ websites and FlightAware, and I continued to receive emails about my return flight.

I cannot help but suspect that MyTrip cancelled my ticket themselves in order to resell it at a higher price, taking advantage of high demand and rising oil prices. Adding to this, their customer service was appalling: they denied me any explanation or proof of cancellation from the airlines, refused to provide even a tracking number for my refund, and hid behind a forced, overly sympathetic tone with prearranged responses. All of this makes it impossible not to conclude that this is a shady business.

Very bad experience

Very bad experience, its to hard to reach them when you need to rebooked your ticket. They transfer your call and hold and keep you waiting for 20 mins on line.I try to send requests on their website for my rebooking and said after 24 hrs i will get reply but still no one response, Never ever booked on this website. It’s better to booked directly on airline choice.

MyTrip never again

MyTrip handled my bookings extremely poorly after airline schedule changes affected most of my flights. One booking was fully cancelled even though I had only asked to cancel a single leg. I only found out the day before my trip, which forced me to make a last-minute rebooking. Another cancelled booking was never properly updated in the app, despite confirmation that the cancellation and refund had been processed.

Reaching customer support was equally disappointing. The live chat was not “live” at all and left me waiting for over an hour with no response, while phone support kept me on hold for more than 30 minutes without resolving anything.

Overall, this has been a very frustrating and stressful experience. The refund process has been slow, and I am still waiting for confirmation that they have contacted the airline. Support is difficult to access, and the replies have been unhelpful when they eventually arrive. Because of the poor handling, delays, and lack of proper assistance, I will not use this booking agency again.

Mathias, will you respond to this?

Still not heard a formal reply for my situation and it’s been nearly two months- even went as far as emailing the CEO Mathias who has ignored me- highly poor and unprofessional.
Would not recommend booking any flight with this company- they have given me false and incorrect information as well as prolonging a situation by using poor communication and lack of understanding

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. Booked a flight with what I had thought was a carry on and then had to pay an extra 100 dollars for the flight out and the return flight. All in all spend 145 for a flight that will now end up being 345. I could have booked elsewhere for 150-160 including a carry on

Horrible Service and Fault Advertising

This has been one of the most stressful and unacceptable experiences I’ve ever had with MyTrip.com.

I booked a ticket from Dhaka to London through MyTrip.com, trusting their website to provide a legitimate and properly arranged journey. While they did mention transit information, they completely failed to clearly state that a visa would be required for the transit country. This critical detail was never properly highlighted or explained, and as a result, I was left with an invalid ticket and serious travel disruption that could have easily been avoided.

Because of their failure, I was forced to book a completely new ticket at an additional cost just to make my journey. This not only caused financial loss but also wasted a significant amount of my time and created unnecessary stress.

The situation became even worse afterward. I have now been chasing my refund for over 14 months. Initially, they acknowledged the issue and promised a partial refund, but I have not received anything at all.

Their customer service is extremely poor and unprofessional. Emails are ignored, responses are delayed or vague, and phone calls involve long waiting times without any resolution. Every time I follow up, I am told that my refund has already been issued and that I will receive it soon—but this has been repeated for over a year with no actual payment made.

This is completely unacceptable. It shows a serious lack of accountability and reliability. Being misled during booking is bad enough, but failing to clearly inform customers about transit visa requirements—and then forcing them into extra costs while stringing them along with false refund promises for over a year—is far worse.

I strongly advise everyone to stay away from MyTrip.com. Based on my experience, this website cannot be trusted.

Problems with rescheduling, no contact

They sent me an email that my flight will be rescheduled for a date which was inconvenient for me. I asked for another date, no reply. I called them, after 40 mins waiting they said my flight is cancelled, they suggest they cancel my booking and I buy another flight as it's faster. I did this. It's been 3 weeks, no sign of this conversation, no reply on my numerous emails, no refund, on their site my original booking is still there.

Decent price via Skyscanner

Decent price via Skyscanner. Once you get to the mytrip site be prepared to tick endless boxes for things that you don’t need or want. If I had have ticked all the boxes my flight would have been about three times the original price. I was also offered to tick a box for a meal at £6.50, very odd seeing that I’m flying business class. The last time I flew Thai air they were quite generous with the food and alcohol.

Same story with my Trip now theyre claiming that the refund went thru,i dare u to call me a liar and post the proof of payment,you LIARS,company of thieves.Attached last email from them

Very Poor Customer Service.

Flight cancelled by Airline and mytrip told me they had applied for refund.
After 3 weeks, emailed 5 times asking for update.
Only when I had been forced to go directly to the airline and was able to confirm that the refund had been paid to mytrip and then told mytrip of that fact, was my refund then paid.
Dreadful customer service.

What you see is what you pay..😊

Impressed that the price of flights advertised was what I chose to pay. The additional extras were easy to navigate through if not required. Will certainly be using them from now on over my usual Booking.com search site who, incidentally were 100's of £'s more expensive given the Gulf crisis hikes in prices. Glad I shopped around now.😊

Appalling travel agency!

Never buy any "add on" products for your flight such as added baggage from this company. They charged me three times what the airline charges if you buy directly from the airline. I was caught unawares, hence this warning!! Three times I contacted them, each time I was promised a call back within 24 hours and it never happened. If you ever buy your flights through them, get on to their website, get the airline booking reference ( not their own reference or booking number) and do everything else through the airline directly. This company will rip you off. I cannot recommend them lowly enough!

Don’t use them

Don’t use them. Worse customer service I’ve ever experienced. Took me a month and a half of calling to get in touch with someone for a refund and when I did, they told me I wasn’t eligible. As if the 30 people I was talking to before couldn’t let me know. They read of a small script and provide you with no information.
