Bought a Landrover Discovery Sport from Mastercars Hitchin in February 2022, it’s now May 2023 and have had the car 15 months and absolutely love it.

Service from Tim was outstanding, couldn’t have gone better. He took my old car in part exchange, paid off the finance of my old car and I drove off a week later with a shiny new car.

We took our time with the sale, as it’s a big amount to pay out, but we went back three times to view the car. Done our research and decided on this exact car. We didn’t feel pressured into buying the car either, some dealerships we visited kept following us around the forecourt trying too hard. Time let us in the car and left us alone which is one of the reasons we came back.

Looking for a van next, so will be coming back. Already bought a caravan from these guys too which was also great service.

This is how it should always be! No request was too much trouble and you can tell they genuinely care about you having a positive experience.

I recently changed my car for a 4 wheel drive. I bought it from Master Cars at Hitchin who I found helpful and reliable. When the car was delivered on a transporter, it was presented immaculately and exceeded my every expectation. The whole experience was so personal and easy. I would recommend this company unreservedly.

I recently went to buy a car from Mastercars in Hitchin. I liked a car and paid 10% deposit straight away. I was told i could pick up the car in the next 2 or 3 days. they were going to send the car to Suzuki for cleaning and checking. After 3 days i rang the company only to be told that nothing had happened. The car was still sitting there and had not been sent to Suzuki and that it was going to be sent in 4 days time. After 5 days i rang again to see if the car was ready to be picked up. This time i was told again that the car was still there, nothing had been done. they were having problems with Suzuki and if I wished I could take the car and deal with them directly. I did and still do not understand that if a dealer is unable to deal with arranging for the car to be checked then how i could manage this. Therefore i decided that i no longer wanted this car and I would like my refund back.

it has now been almost 3 weeks, I have not received any updates on the refund despite sending emails and phoning them. I have been told by Steve that my messages and emails are forwarded to the managing Director, Mr Robert Masters, and that the rest of the staff cannot do anything. He is not allowed to give anybody Robert Masters email or a phone no.
I feel utterly disappointed with having to deal with this and the company at dealing with this. I think a call explaining their situation would be courteous but I am sad to say that I have not ever receive any message or call from this company. I would not recommend this company to anyone

I cannot express the gratitude for the experience I have had with Steve and Mastercars. After 6 months of disgraceful service from Peugeot and having a car I couldn’t drive, then a broken mini direct from them, I decided main dealership does NOT mean better service or cars! From me calling regarding a Countryman they had in, to me driving the car away was non stop top service. The professionalism of this business, the quality of the cars- 6 years older than the mini I bought and in much better cosmetic condition and 10k less! - they do not sell cars with issues! My car had its RAC check before coming to me and they replaced the brakes just to be safe. I honestly cannot thank them enough and I waited 2 weeks before posting after previous experiences I’d had just in case the car fell apart, but nope nothing but finding the love of driving in a car I love and feel completely safe in! My son will be driving within a year and there’s no where I’d go for the next car in the family.

I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Steve at master cars in Hitchin. I had a Range Rover for sale, he was fast, efficient and sensitive to my reasons for selling my car due to a family bereavement. He had the money transferred to my bank account first thing in the morning and stayed in contact all throughout the process. I couldn’t of asked for a better service and he deserves some recognition for his hard, dedicated work. Steve, you are an asset to Master Cars and I thank you for the stress free, easy process. I hope to have the pleasure of dealing with master cars in the future.

My experience with Tim at Mastercars was excellent. From our very first contact he was extremely professional and efficient, offering me a very good trade in on my VW Touareg against another smaller VW. The car arrived in perfect condition, immaculately presented and Sam was a delightful delivery driver. I had a little wobble over the new car after the first 24 hours and Tim very kindly offered to find me another car. However, in the event I decided to keep it as once I had driven it to Devon and back I agreed that it was a great car. Tim could not have been more understanding and polite. First class service from beginning to end. Thank you Mastercars.

I purchased one of the finest RS3 saloons around from Mastercars! Rang and spoke to Tim to secure the car with a deposit and he was very helpful, explaining the previous history and spec of the car without me even having to ask. Upon collection, the car was as described and then some! Tim was a pleasure to deal with and was more than happy to spend the time to make sure everything was as it should be. Bought my first ‘Luxury car’ from Master cars. After buying my caravan and having great service from Master Leisure in Biggleswade, when I was looking to buy a new car, I wanted something a bit more special than I had been buying over the years. I saw a Landrover Discovery Sport that my wife and I were interested in. We went and looked at the car, Tim was helpful, he allowed us to view the car, sit inside it and get a feel for it, then we came back a couple more times to look some more. I went online and done some research on the car and found others on AutoTrader. Not many were the same spec and colour of the one I chose. The ones I did find were higher mileage and higher price. Hitchin is only a couple of miles from me, I like to support all local businesses and after sitting on the fence for 4 weeks I decided to buy the car. We part exchanged our old car and the process was incredibly easy. We picked it up a few days later all cleaned and shiny, very pleased with the car and very pleased with the service.

I recently purchased a Volkswagen Tiguan from Master Cars in Hitchin. From my first phone contact to the delivery and handover of the car, the transaction was handled with great professionalism and zero pressure. I visited the showroom to view the car. On reflection, this was an unnecessary step, as the car was exactly as described and was presented immaculately. In the future, I would have the confidence to buy again without viewing. I had looked at several other similar cars at Volkswagen main dealers and none had been prepared to anywhere near the same standard. At all times, Tim was knowledgeable, accommodating and honest. I would have no hesitation in recommending Master Cars.

So I've owned my van now for the best part of a year and feel I can leave a review.

Overall I'm very satisfied with my choice to deal with Master Cars. Trade vehicles are a minefield but it was very helpful to see one with all necessary documentation and which had been thoroughly checked.

Tim is a lovely chap and was a pleasure with which to deal.

Owning the van has been very smooth. Its driven beautifully and hasn't given me any headaches. It's not perfect - biting point is occasionally a bit grindy, and slightly off-centre steering means the van veers a little to the left - but compared to some horror stories my ownership experience has been pure bliss.

So yes, I'd thoroughly recommend Master Cars as an honest, reliable and friendly business.
