Perfect, great product, great service.

I am so disappointed! I was so attracted to the concept of these pens. I decided to order some on Black Friday. Today, December 3rd I finally got the pens. I opened the pens to find out that the ink has run dry. I already have to use the replacement inks!!! I am not happy! I would like a refund!!!

My 9 year old son just bought himself a set of these markers from Virgin with his pocket money. Opened them at home and they were all dry! I now have a very disappointed boy and useless pens. NOT happy.

The pens arrived sooner than I expected. However the pen refills included within the pens were mostly dry and unusable I already have to open the refill that I got to even use them. Not what I thought a quality product should be. Disappointed since I thought these would be great for some time now and when I finally purchase they didn’t work. Very disappointed.

Great to use. Thin tips for neat clear writing. Great colours. The magnetic touch just add to the experience

The refill are brill that there are a fun pen refill.

The original color pens were completely useless, from the remaining backup there were still 2 pens worthless (color not working). Very nice design, I had to repurchase replacements with only one month after shopping

I was an investor via kick-starter for these pens. The concept is amazing but the refills are rubbish and dry out to quickly. I have had 2 replacement sets and recently bought more. These are the same and I have stopped using the pens now. Disappointed.

I backed the original Kickstarter and am so disappointed that the ink is poor quality and dried up after only 2 uses. This is not the quality product that was promised! The casing is great and I love the magnets but I can't even use the pens.

Update: I am changing my review to a 3. I contacted the company and they sent me some free refills. Then they wanted to make sure that the refills worked which someone them did not. So they sent me another set a refills. They have some excellent customer service. I love the pens but it was very disappointing the have the problems happen.

Was really happy to back these and get them!! I received 20 of the colorful cases and 20 of the black cases. There was very few that worked the first time I tried them out! Maybe about 40%. The next time I used them they were all dried up! Beyond disappointed over these!!

In response to my review here, the folks from MAGNETIPS reached out to me about my experience and sent me a code for a new set of refills. All of the refills were much better quality than the old versions. They also said they were going to reach out to ThinkGeek about the stock that site has in stock.

That's what I call a good faith effort, and converting a disappointed customer into a happy one.

Disappointed Office Supply Nerd

I'm in the sweet spot for these pens, I'm a geek, an office supply nerd, and someone who takes pretty elaborate notes so makes use of different colors. I ordered a set of these from ThinkGeek (having not previously read the reviews) and the first set arrived with almost all of the pens dried up. I contacted ThinkGeek and they sent me a second set of pens.... almost all of which are also dry.

It's frustrating, because I really wanted this product and like the concept... but instead of cool magnetic pens, I basically just have a set of magnets.

These pens were not cheap and very disappointing. I used them once just to test the colors out and then the next time I tried to use them they were all completely dried out. Luckily, I had purchased a set of refills. However, I opened the completely sealed package of refills and they were all dried as well. When contacting the company, they simply offered me 30% off more refills.

Why would I risk throwing away more money for more refills when the package of refills I had were also dried out?!

Their product quality control is lacking and their lack of taking responsibility for it is unacceptable.

**Update**
Less than 2 hours after posting this review, I received another message from their customer service. They are now offering to send me replacement refills free of charge. I wish that was their original response instead of it being a secondary reaction after a public review. But I will give them some credit for trying to make this right. So I've bumped my rating up a bit.

When I receive my refills and if they've been able to correct the ink quality issue, I'll be back to update this again. I'm crossing my fingers that I'll be back with more positive things to say.

UPDATE: Shortly after posting this review I was contacted by the company (in addition to the response below). MAGNETIPS are all about their customers! They explained that they are on round three of a redesign of the refills and have had very few complaints about them. They sent me out a replacement set. I just received it today, so we'll see. I will keep you posted. I originally gave these one star. I have increased it to three due to the amazing customer service. If all goes well with the replacement, I will update again.

I was so excited to get these pens. When they finally arrived, I was extremely busy so I didn't get to use them right away. By the time I went to use them, about 50% of them were all dried out. I was impressed when I was sent a set of refills after contacting the company to share my concern. Fast forward a few months, and I went to use my pens again. Wouldn't you know it, they were ALL dried out and had ink crud on the tips. I again contacted the company. They shared with me that they had made some improvements to their refills and they are much better. The best they offered me was 30% off. Thanks, but if I had trouble with the first two sets, why would I bother spending money on something I can't guarantee will work? I am so disappointed and feel taken advantage of.

I recently purchased a set of magnetips as a gift and they were very positively received.
Some of the pens had unfortunately dried out, but after talking to their customer service they immediately sent me a free replacement set without question.

Definitely recommend, it's great to see a company stand behind their product and offer such great service!

Pens Dried up after very little use.
I backed on Kickstarter, and got a set of 20 pens, since then every single one of them has dried up, some of them seeing almost no use at all.

EDIT: I HAVE BEEN CONTACTED BY MAGNETIPS AND THEY HAVE SENT ME SOME NEW REFILLS, I WILL UPDATE IF THE NEW REFILLS SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

So disappointed. Waited forever for these, then was too busy. Just got them out to work on my new adult coloring book, the Soul of San Miguel. NOT A SINGLE PEN WORKS. They were all dry. I was a kickstarter supporter and am so unhappy. Plus I gave 2 sets as gifts and think they are dried out too but the recipients have been too polite to mention it.
