UPDATE January 23, 2026:
VICTORY! I finally got my money back, but ONLY through a bank CHARGEBACK.
UPDATE January 22, 2026:
Do you think anyone contacted me after their "apology" below? Of course not! It was a total lie to manage their public image. They never reached out.
Instead, they are now actively obstructing my bank's chargeback process. They blocked my number and account to hide evidence and delay the refund.
Their original reply was fake, and their actions are fraudulent. They refuse to return my money for a service they never provided. Stay away from this scam operator!
I have been a loyal LycaMobile customer for over a year. Recently, my service stopped working through no fault of my own. This refers to a three-month service package.I contacted their support, and they officially promised me a full refund in writing because I couldn't use the service package. This happened because that LycaMobile switched their service provider to AT&T network. This transition made my service completely non-functional on my Android device, which had worked perfectly for over a year. They changed their technical infrastructure without notifying customers and then blocked my account when I sought a refund for the service they could no longer provide.I waited for over a week, but the money never arrived. They simply lied to buy time. When I finally had to contact my bank to protect my rights and dispute the transaction, LycaMobile’s response was outrageous: they immediately blocked my account and deactivated my SIM card.
This is a classic scam tactic. They take your money, promise to return it, and then cut you off entirely the moment you seek official help. They are trying to hide evidence and avoid accountability. Do not trust this company—they will steal your money and block you!

While my representative Jaber was outstanding and handled my issue perfectly, the overall customer service from the company was disappointing. Long hold times almost two hours and unnecessary back-and-forth made the process stressful. Jaber himself deserves full credit, but the company as a whole needs serious improvement.

Never got refunded for a 3 month sim card. Its useless in Puerto Rico. We no longer have at&t services. Lycamobile never officially mentioned the upgrade and found out through google. Customer service send me looping messages about a refund that was never given but insisting that they did. I don't think they will refund me and I've been waiting for six months

Do not use your CC if possible.
There is a reason these companies give out free sims at the airport. They will not stop charging your card monthly, even if the sim expires. They've been charging me for 6 mos despite only using for 2 weeks, cancelling, and the sim expiring. Now I have to deal w my cc company to block charges.
Customer service is standard: a joke.
Update: I sent all relevant info to the email provided in their re below on Dec 27 (today). Not holding my breath.

Kept charging me for 4 months after i asked them to cancel it. I emailed customer service who kept making excuses and would reply every two weeks, it was a 8 usd 1 month sim then after few months they started to debit my account with $49 I raised it with my bank after flagging it as Fraud. Lyca customer service kept saying ur details dont match despite sending them their own registration email with my details in it they just want to keep charging you for months after you cancel a one month rolling contract.

in 12/18/2025, I see the ads on Google and by a prepaid 12month plan
12/19/2025, they still didn't give me anymore tracking number/order info, I send a email to them about it
12/20/2025, they gave me a email with "Dear customer,
Your plan activation request for xxxxxxxxxx has been successfully processed."
12/23/2025, they shipped the Sim card
12/24/2025, received the Sim card, unable to transfer my old number because it's already been activated
When trying to reach the customer, called for 3 times, first time they didn't respond, second and third time they hangup the call immediately after I described by problem
When you use the bot, the live agent always disconnects when they trying to solve your problem
Don't buy this unlike you like to waste your time in the bank for disputing

Lycamobile: The Living Hell You Can’t Escape
Lycamobile is not a company. It is a predator. It is a pit. A black, endless void where your time, your sanity, your life, and your very soul are swallowed whole. For months, my phone didn’t work. My hotspot failed. I called, I begged, I screamed silently into the void. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing.
Every promise they make is a lie. Supervisors who never call. Credit that never comes. Fixes that never happen. They don’t just fail you — they exist to break you. To grind you down. To take your frustration and turn it back on you. Every interaction is a trap. Every answer is hollow. Every second you wait is another nail in the coffin of your patience.
They don’t care that you’re hurting. They don’t care that you’ve been ignored, dismissed, humiliated. They don’t care that your life is already a struggle. They thrive on your desperation, your anger, your exhaustion. You are not a person to them. You are a vessel for suffering.
Lycamobile is psychological torture in corporate form. It’s the slow, grinding kind that makes you doubt yourself, makes you scream at nothing, makes your blood boil while their scripted voices dribble lies into your ear. It is a machine designed to strip you of everything human and leave you gasping inside your own rage.
This is more than bad service. This is a black hole designed to consume your sanity. Your phone doesn’t work. Your hotspots fail. Your calls are ignored. Your complaints vanish into the void. And when you scream for help, they mock you with silence, scripts, and hollow apologies.
Lycamobile will take everything from you: your patience, your hope, your dignity, and leave you bleeding in a digital grave of incompetence. Do not give them your time. Do not give them your mind. Do not give them your life. Because once you enter their world, you cannot escape, and every promise they make is a lie meant to feed on your suffering.
This is pure, unrelenting darkness masquerading as service. You will not survive it unscathed.

I’ve been a customer since 12/23. Less than 2 months later my phone started showing no sim, and it was happening often. I called them, mind you I was only a few months into my service and I was told I would have to purchase a new sim! I wasn’t having it! So! For the next 2 years I’ve had to remove my sim and put it back at least 3 times per week. Now, Lyca is replacing the sims for free because of a network upgrade. On 12/21 I called customer service to request my PUK, in order to request a new sim. I spoke to an idiot of a customer service representative. When I hung up, I couldn’t make outgoing calls! It’s the 23rd and I still can’t make outgoing calls! I didn’t know how terrible the customer service was until now. When I requested the sim in Feb 24. I knew that was ridiculous of a company to try and make a new client buy a new sim, and the sim I had was brand new! I almost went off just now trying to speak to an agent. While doing that I searched online for reviews on Lyca mobiles customer service! This place is terrible! I will not stay with this company! No one should! The customer service, and network are terrible and shitty! I stayed with them this long because it was cheap and I have my business tied to this number. However, I will be porting out very soon! Lyca mobile is trash!

Bad customer service experience, service experts/technicians are very rude to their customers and this is not the first time, this is the third time I am facing this issue.
They keep on hold and sometimes they also end the call abruptly. Their management should take a serious action. Although I love Lyca but their service part is worst among all providers.

Based on my recent review on Lyca mobile for poor customer service, I got a reply from review responder from Lyca mobile that it is not their standard but here is another example of how much time a customer should wait on line to chat with a live agent. I almost waited for 1 hour to have some one (live agent)started replying to my chat.
My take on Lyca mobile - If you want cheaper option yes it is the one, however if you run into any issue then consider you are doomed - there lies the actual problem because neither your issue will be resolved nor you can get to a live customer service agent any sooner.
If wanted, I have the screenshots of the poor experience of waiting online for ~1 hour for a live agent to show up.

My SIM card was faulty. I was never able to activate and use it. I never selected a plan. Still my credit card is being charged.
I am formally requesting a full refund for the non-functional SIM cards I purchased on November 11th Transaction ID : MFST0001307175
Please process this refund immediately.

Immediately file a claim (dispute) with your bank. That is the fastest way to get your money back.
Do not wait for Lycamobile.us customer support to resolve your issue. They will make promises, express sympathy, and drag out the process until, after 30 days, they inform you that the deadline for filing a claim has unfortunately passed and they cannot issue a refund.
Here is my story in brief. I hope it helps someone save time, money, and nerves.
On November 9th, I purchased a SIM card from this company. When it didn't work, I bought another one, which also turned out to be faulty. Lycamobile's customer support is practically non-existent. For an entire week, I tried to reach them by phone and email, but the SIM cards never activated, leaving me without service.
After this, I bought a SIM card from Boost Mobile. It was delivered quickly and started working without any issues as soon as I installed it.
Since the Lycamobile SIM cards I purchased never worked, I requested a refund. Unsurprisingly, no one from their support team responded.
I then wrote a review on Trustpilot. On November 16th, Edgar Bacordo replied:
"Please also be informed that the process for refunding orders will take 1 to 2 business days for the request to be approved. Once approved, the plan will be converted to credit. Please do not use the SIM further or dispute any charges to avoid interrupting the refund process. It will take around 5 to 7 business days for the money to be reimbursed back to your bank account."
Four days later, with no refund, I wrote another Trustpilot review.
On November 21st, Jamila L. replied, stating the funds would be transferred within 5-7 business days. Fourteen days passed with no result, so I wrote a third review.
On December 8th, Albert Aruldass replied (Ticket #463555007):
"We apologize for the inconvenience caused. We would like to inform you that the refund will be completed in seven to ten business days. Thank you for understanding."
Finally, on December 15th, I received this email from Abdellatif at Lycamobile Customer Service:
"We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please note that, in line with our policy, we are unable to process refunds for plans or bundles that have expired."
At that point, I contacted my bank. The bank disputed the transaction and returned my money within three days.
Amen to that!
