Purchased a data bundle plan the night before and received my phone number + successful activation SMS.
However, data usage the next day was charged to my wallet instead of the data bundle I purchased, which has since been activated as I received verbal confirmation from customer support I called + visual confirmation on the app.
I even received a goodwill 500MB plan as they detected I was eating into my wallet balance.
Customer service was not helpful either, and I had to call multiple times. Initially, they were willing to help but they could not understand my issue and got frustrated with me. The agent insisted that my wallet balance was being deducted as a result of calls/SMS which I have made none of. This was not the case and I insisted that the deduction was a result of data usage which I could evidently see in the application as well, but the conversation eventually fell through.
In subsequent calls, they eventually resorted to ignoring me by pretending they couldn't hear me and hanging up.
It was only the last agent that I managed to contact who was willing to help me escalate the issue to the technical team. I was given a case number as assurance. However, shortly after the call, I received an SMS stating my issue (with the same case number) was resolved despite it still being present, so alas nothing was done.
As a last-ditch effort, I email them with my situation but there has yet to be a reply so far.
Overall terrible experience and I would not recommend it in light of the customer support.

Update on February 7, 2025: My problem started on January 15, and despite many emails and calls, nothing was resolved.
Lycamobile.nl does not know how to retain customers, let alone new consumers, who would choose to do business without you. Other companies can resolve an issue within a minute, but you hire only unintelligent staff with lengthy and redundant repeat polite-but-doing-nothing customer service. I feel like I am talking robot customer service because they are all programmed to speak in the same scripts...
Please check my new reference, 105419867. Someone at your lazy operation should move your magic fingers for direct communication with customers like me.

They deserve a prize for being the worst company ever. Supermarket purchased SIM card, bundle activation of 15€ and didn’t fulfill the promised service. A month now back and forth trying to convince their incredibly terrible customer service to get my refund. We definitely think the company survives with the total of these small amounts of money they charge from people like us. A V O I D at all costs!!!!

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They will keep charging your credit card!!! Even tho you did not give permission for them to do so!!! They don’t answer emails and the helpdesk is sh*t!

There are many reasons why Lycamobile is rubbish now, This video will discuss on how Lycamobile has went down hill on Coronavirus Period,
1. When i got out of Jail from my 2 year sentence, I had no phone and no phone number, and so my mother decided to take me to a Phone Store that sells Phones with Lycamobile Prepaid SIM Cards, My mom bought me a Samsung Galaxy Alpha because She only had €130.- with her and the Lycamobile SIM Card was free and i bought €5.- top up credit with it and When i unboxed my phone and set the sim card on it, I started to add my family and friends's numbers onto my phone, and called them right away and weeks Later, I received 10 scam calls and immediately reported them to the Mabahith, and The Next day on March 31st 2020, I had to buy €20.- Credit from Albert Heijn and When i topped up my credit and Nothing came, and Called Customer Service via my Father's Phone and Confronted Lycamobile Scammers that They should put €20 on my sim card right now! Or else The FBI will be raiding your house, Lycamobile Scammers did not do anything and So, There comes the truth about Lycamobile
2. Sometimes when you top up your credit, Only half of your credit or none of your credit comes through your simcard,
3. They don't have any physical stores or any good customer services, They are just bullshit, y'all need to go to university before studying customer services,
and 4. Lycamobile only sells Prepaid SIM Cards or Terrible SIM Only Subscriptions that make no sense!
I can't believe Lycamobile nowadays is scamming people a lot, Before Switching to Vodafone, My credit did not disappear and had to say to everybody that They should not use Lycamobile and told the truth,
Now I have retired from Lycamobile and Switched to Vodafone, I am never going to see your shitfaces again!!!!!
And I don't need any help from a bad customer service

This is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. I reached out to their live chat customer service five times, and each time, no one could help me. After 20 days, I still hadn't received my SIM card. When I finally called, they told me that the ID for my purchase didn’t even exist. This makes me think one of their employees might have deleted it after our previous chat. I requested a full refund for the purchase since I never received the card with the bundle, but I couldn’t find anyone who could assist me properly. I was also refused resending the card as it “will come after some time”. Not to mention that I tried to contact the company by answering their email that I got as confirmation after the purchase… Now, my next step is to look for legal options to resolve this issue.
