Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the product quality, noting that jewelry often broke quickly, tarnished, or caused allergic reactions, even when advertised as surgical steel or waterproof. People also felt that the pricing was too high for the poor quality received. However, some customers also noted positive experiences with staff, describing them as helpful, kind, and professional, particularly during ear piercing services. Conversely, a small portion of people felt that some staff members were rude, unprofessional, or provided inadequate service, including issues with piercing accuracy or hygiene practices.

Rubbish jewellery, rubbish service

The jewellery I purchased broke within a couple of days, the pendant also tarnished. Customer service advised to return to the store. I checked opening times online. I arrived at 8.45am (the opening time is 9am). Confused when the store didn't open at 9am, I checked online again. It was definitely 9am. I thought maybe online was wrong, I waited for an hour and 20 minutes. I then phoned customer service to ask the opening times. They confirmed 9am. I asked why the store wasn't open then. She then made up a story that they was an operational issue inside the store with the keys! How on earth could their be an issue inside if no one is actually inside?! The lady who works at the store arrived at 10.05 am. She opened the door and let in a staff member who arrived just before 10am. All I wanted was to return the absolute rubbish jewellery. If there's an operational issue, would it not make sense to leave a note on the door?! Rubbish jewellery, rubbish service.

Refuse to refund me

Don’t trust this store even when you see workers smiling, I bought two belly rings from them on 5/30/2025. I wore one of them after less than a week the color of ring changed so I decided to return both rings. I went to the store on 6/5/2025 the girl who works there first she was nice but when I told her the problem she changed she said (I can’t return the rings and even if I can I don’t know how to do it the manager needs to be here) I told her I can’t come every day to return what I bought she wasn’t happy and asked me, didn’t you live in the area 🙄 so I left the store. I went back to the store on 6/6/2025 I found the manager I told her the problem she was very rude and another manager came he was worst than her because they didn’t like what i asked them ( to do to return my money back), they sent another worker to call the security for us my husband and I. I forgot to mention before I bought them I asked if the color will change they said no. So never trust this store they are lying to sell you

Poor

I ordered my first pair of stud earrings online, the image showed them to be prominent and visible from a reasonable distance on the ear. They arrived after 5 business days, when online they were supposed to come within 2-3 business days, and upon opening, the earrings are obscenely small and barely noticeable. Further, I am beyond livid as when I went to the closed retailer (which is a fair distance away) to buy more earrings, after deciding that it would be better to see the size of what I am purchasing, I found a pair of climber studs, which were perfect and exactly what I wanted. However, as soon as I removed them from the packet, both studs snapped off. The following day I return to the store within opening hours to find a worker sat outside the store, waiting for a key to open up the locked up store. Incredibly poor management and upon speaking to the worker I was offered a partial refund. With the recent events, I believe I deserve more than a full refund, let alone a partial one. The worker was rude and said that if I wanted more, I had to wait weeks to speak to an official worker, who might not be able to meet my needs. Furious with this and will not be purchasing again.

No to piercing at Lovisa…save your money!

I went to Lovisa at Baybrook Mall a week ago. They were doing “free” nose piercing, all I had to pay for was the jewelry. Never again. They used a gun. My fault I didn’t ask how much the jewelry was. Asked for a receipt to be emailed to me. Never got the receipt and with tip, which I now regret, it was $75. I just had to go to a tattoo/piercing parlor to have the jewelry replaced. The one I got at Lovisa had nothing on the end of it to keep it in place. When the new piercer took it out to replace it, it looked like a tack. It had come out of my nostril a lot when I blew my nose and I was unable to get it pushed back in. I would never recommend Lovisa for a piercing.

Very bad experience

Very bad experience. Bought nose piercing and broke right away.
Customer service is not good she blamed it all on us and said it’s final sale when they didn’t mention that before hand. They didn’t give me receipt at first because they said it only gets emailed and only told us that after purchase.

It was terrible

I had a terrible experience here. One of the girls working was rude. As a first-time customer, I asked a simple question and instead of helping me, she rolled her eyes like I was annoying her. I wasn’t even ready with my video yet, and she just started shooting without asking or apologizing. Thanks to her attitude, she completely ruined the moment I picked out my prom dress. This was supposed to be a special day, and she made it feel the opposite. Do better.

BEWARE!! EVERYTHING BREAKS!!

I purchased a pack of two nose piercings today from the Norwich branch, unfortunately I didn’t even get to wear one of them because it snapped as soon as O tried to put it in. The other I actually managed to put in but it literally will not close no matter how much I have tried to close it. I have had a nose piercing for years now and have never had this issue. Being that these are not cheap at all, literally £19 - I am SO disappointed! what a waste of my money! Not only terrible quality, but they didn’t even do what they’re literally advertised to do, which is to be able to be worn! Unfortunately this is not my first time being let down by Lovisa, not too long ago I also brought a belly bar (£18!) from there. As soon as I tried to put it in, it would not stay since it wouldn’t screw in as it was faulty. It just fell out and fell out again when I kept trying multiple times over. Unfortunately I do not live in or near norwich, it’s an hour away from me so I only go sometimes. I certainly couldn’t drive an hour away to refund some piercings I shouldn’t even have to refund in the first place. I was silly to buy from Lovisa a second time, but it will not happen a third and I can guarantee I will be warning people both online and in person not to shop from here!!!!! Bad quality and stupid prices.

My earrings broke after a few days

My earrings broke after a few days! BOTH pairs, really bad quality.

Lovisa is cheap I don’t have high expectations but primark jewellery is better quality. I thought the earrings would last me at least a few months… Moreover they are ignoring my emails about the refund.

Previous employee- most useless company

I worked for Lovisa two years ago and left after two months due to not being paid correctly — it took constant chasing just to get the wages I was owed.

Now, two years later, I’m still being messed around. I’m going through pre-employment screening for a new job, and Lovisa were sent a simple reference request over two weeks ago. Despite four follow-up emails (from both myself and my new employer), they still haven’t responded. This delay is now putting my new role at risk.

This company is unprofessional, disorganised, and careless with staff. Hygiene practices while I worked there were basically nonexistent — I was piercing people after a week of starting, with no formal training and no infection control certification. The reason they “can’t change your jewellery” is because they don’t understand proper piercing aftercare. They shouldn’t be offering piercings at all.

Avoid this company as an employee or customer. Completely useless and unsafe. This is coming from a professional piercer.

Worst purchase ever!

Worst purchase ever!!
Bought surgical grade piercings for my cartilage and Tragus, after putting them in my ears become red and inflamed. I had to take them out shortly after and am now left with swollen infected ears. Definitely not surgical grade as this has never happened to me before and I often but jewellery to this standard. Such a waste of money!

The earring is stuck and is painful to even slightly touch.

The earring got stuck in my ear. The backing is gone, and one of the earrings came out with tons of oil and vaseline, but the other one is so painful i cant sleep at night and even the slightest touch makes me flinch. I also did not know this shop was rated so poorly as i got them at the store in a mall.

The ear-piercing technician assured me…

The ear-piercing technician assured me the earrings were 14kt Gold. The clerk began to inject the earring into my left ear and then the right ear ensuring her the earrings would not cause her an allergic reaction. Yet, each time I would return to the store to get information I was just reassured the tingling and itching was due to the healing process. Finally, after feeling a sticky liquidly substance around my left earring, I pulled the earring out only to find the puss and blood was coming from the hole. I received an apology from Customer Service but corporate refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing and I never received compensation. This is an out of country company who believe they are above USA business rules and regulations

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

ordered my stuff on the 14th of April and paid €5 for it to be shipped to my address. First, they sent me an email saying that it was on it’s way to be shipped to a store (which would have been free, but I SPECIFICALLY paid five euros for it to be shipped to my house). I emailed telling them this, they said they couldn’t make “amendments.” They sent me a discount code as a “gesture of goodwill”, but I don’t want to use it if they’re not going to send my items and scam me out of shipping money. I finally got an email telling me the order is ready for pick-up at a store. I don’t have the time to go into town and pick it up, that’s why I PAID FIVE EURO for the shipping. Five euro that they’ve just taken for nothing. I should have read the reviews before ordering from this website. Don’t waste your time or money.

About to fly off the handle

Horrible false advertising. If you think you're getting ANY DISCOUNT on things put on the shelf CLEARLY MARKED "UP TO 50% OFF" you can forget about it. Its still all the original price. I didn't care for the attitude of the girl behind the counter either.

Won’t let me pay/purchase order

I tried to buy earrings on the website, I was really exited they looked pretty but it wouldn’t let me pay for the order. I tried Apple Pay and manually putting in card details (2 seperate cards/banks) none worked it just kept flicking back to the “put in card details” page

Hope this can get sorted but I won’t be buying from here. None of my banks have any pending transactions and I pray it stays that way cause as far as I’m aware despite multiple attempts no order would go through
