insurance scam
Don’t ever buy the insurance for your lift tickets the insurance company is a scam... I came down with the flu right before our ski trip so I was unable to attend… To get my insurance claim filed they want to doctors note… I’m already out $140 for the lift tickets and now they want me to go spend another hundred dollars on a doctors note so they can MAYBE refund my money ... :(
Bad business not doing any refunds
after calling the bank and explaining…
after calling the bank and explaining to them what cheating blanks they are at liftopia I got my money back, but from my bank first .the world would be a better place with out companys like them.

My father wanted to get my children a gift card to a water park at a ski resort for Christmas. He tried to purchase it directly from the ski resort but accidentally got it from Liftopia. When he spoke to them they falsely represented themselves as the ski resort and told him that the gift card would work at the water park. It turns out that the water park does not except Liftopia gift cards. We have attempted to contact Liftopia several times and they will not give him a refund.
Liftopia is clearly not a reputable company. We are not wealthy people and lossing $350 to these crooks is a substantial financial blow this time of year.
Buyer beware they are rip off artists
Buyer beware they are rip off artists. (Well using the term artist is too nice) I bought tickets thinking they were a different company. I realized as the transaction was going through that this was the wrong company. The tickets I bought were for that day and it was already 8:00 pm that night and the hill would be closed. I asked them if I could switch to another two days as the ski day i bought for was already passed. No they can't do that, no they won't do anything. Very poor customer service. Make sure you are buying for the right time and right hill because they won't do exchanges or move the day. You are stuck with useless tickets.
Liftopia is a rip-off !!
Liftopia currently has “big deals“ on tickets to Snowshoe mountain. I almost mistakingly bought them until I called Snowshoe who had no deals on tickets. Snowshoe beat the price by $40. Liftopia is a joke!!
And a rip off!
Fraudulent charge
Have a charge on my credit card from liftopia that i did not authorize - needless to say fraud
I would want to not give a star at all
I would want to not give a star at all. I purchased one day tickets to go to Shasta. Come to find out 2 hrs later there’s going to be a rain out at the mountain. And so my transportation decided to cancel on me. So I called liftopia to explain(yes I read the fine print but I’m not trying to get a refund for not wanting to go, I just can’t get there!) they would not help and said I had to email them and plead my case for a credit thru their company only-no refund. I’ll try that but seriously I’m out $100. I won’t ever use them again. I’m buying at the mountain for now on. This was my first time using liftopia ever. And I’m a person who rarely asks for refunds. Not a good first time experience guys.
Buyer Beware!
Before using Liftopia I read the reviews and decided to do a little investigating by ‘purchasing’ (up to the point of confirmation), one-day lift tickets at 10 random resorts throughout the US and Canada. Wouldn’t you know it that EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE 10 TICKETS FROM LIFTOPIA WAS MOR THAN IF YOU HAD PURCHASED THE TICKETS DAY OF AT THE MOUNTAIN. Buyer Beware!
No power - no credit for a different day
We purchased tickets for the Mount Shasta ski park. The power is out at the resort and they don't know when power will be restored, meaning that the resort is currently closed. However, liftopia says the power may come on at some point during their operating hours today so we cannot transfer our booking to tomorrow. We are not even asking for a refund just to switch to a day when the resort is open with power. Very frustrating, I would not recommend making the purchase with liftopia.
Snow Valley CA
We had tickets for Snow Valley CA two days on a row - and unfortunately, a snowstorm came and lifts were close. But with just a few phones calls with Liftopia - we were able to get new lifts tickets for the following day.
Just be nice and explain the situation.
Super easy to use and best price on…
Super easy to use and best price on tickets!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I booked lift tickets a week in advance during nice weather. 2 days before my trip the storm of the year is hitting Tahoe! Up to 120" of snow! And winds up to 60mph! The highway will be shut down and the lifts will be closed! NO REFUNDS WHAT SO EVER! NO EXCEPTIONS!! WHAT A JOKE!
Yea I read the fine print. But this isn't some cancellation because I would rather do something else. THE WEATHER IS STOPPING ME! You would think this a company would want a repeat customer by giving a simple refund but they will not!
I WILL NEVER USE LIFTOPIA AGAIN! AND I WILL TELL ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS NOT TO USE THEM AS WELL. BEWARE!
Frustrating worthless platform …
Its a frustrating platform whos eye-catching prices are 100% of the time almost 2x higher once you get to their site. I do not respect or use services that use fake prices to pull you in
Worked great!
Worked great for us... we were able to get our tickets the night before and save about $27 each and just use our phone to show them the bar code at the ticket window
I purchased some lift tickets to go…
I purchased some lift tickets to go snowboarding for the day on Thursdays March 1 2018 for that following Saturday March 3rd 2018. Drove 2 hrs and 1/2 to get there a d find out that the mountain is closed. That they have not had power for over 2 days. I did not receive any notification of this at all. No emails or call. Now that I am asking for a refund they want to deny me. They state that since my ticket was extended to Mt. Snow in VT that they can do anything. I did not reserve my ticket to Mt. Snow. That would be another 2hr and 30 min drive from hunter.

I wish there were fewer stars that I could give this website. I reserved tickets for a 5% discount (for a whopping savings of 5 dollars) and recently found out one person in our party couldn't make it because of a breakup. I called liftopia to see what could be done (after speaking with Banff Adventures who quickly cancelled the extra ticket and who I can't recommend enough!). What a contrast that experience with Banff Adventures. At Liftopia, I spoke with one of the most unpleasant customer service representatives I've ever come across. I've never felt so condescended to and dehumanized. The minute I got off the phone and swore I'd never book through this site again.
Maybe Liftopia is better elsewhere, but I doubt it. For Canada go anywhere else, although I'd recommend Banff Adventures. Liftopia sets an awful model for customer service and is honestly a testament to the very worst of what the ski industry has become--I saved slightly more than 5 dollars by booking through this site and was treated like an absolute moron.
If choice btwn buying from Liftopia and …
If choice btwn buying from Liftopia and the actual mtn - buy through the actual mtn. Price was the same for both - however on a rain out, the mtn allowed me to purchase a different day and and get a refund on the rain out day. Liftopia would not allow me to switch days - $90 lost b/c I bought from Liftopia instead of directly through the mtn. Why would I ever use Liftopia again?
Review Observation
Now, I am going to preface this with I have not made a purchase with them yet, but plan on purchasing in the next couple weeks.
With that being said, I only put 3 stars because I havent had any experience with them and just wanted to add my observation to the discussion.
I went through and read basically every single comment from the last 2-3 years.
Every single bad review I read was because of someone getting sick or missing their flight or something to do with them not being at the resort when they scheduled the tickets for.
It clearly states on their website that there are no refunds, credits, date changes, or anything like that. All sales are final. So if and when you get sick, and aren't able to ski that day, you already know you will not get the money back or transferred to another date. I don't get why people are so up in arms about that policy.
Does it suck if you miss it and can't get refunded or changed? Sure. But the tickets I am looking at now, are almost 50% off from the price on the resorts website. I will be purchasing tickets for two people and the ability to basically get a two for one deal is worth the chance that something may happen and we wont ski that day.
The only one that even startles me to the least is if the road is closed and we cannot make it to pick up our tickets on the first day and end up missing the other days too because we missed our pickup date. That is the only one that bothers me in the slightest.
But everything else, if you dont use it you lose it. The price you pay for getting it so discounted in the first place.
The only reason I am writing this review is to share with others that if you plan on buying these tickets and plan on using them the dates you purchased them that day and if you miss that day realize you have to say oh well, then it seems like a great deal to me.
Don't get scared by all the bad reviews. Just know that you are purchasing a final ticket with no chance of a refund and everything will be just fine. The bad reviews are people that got sick or missed their flight or got injured or something along those lines.
So if you buy them, use them on the correct days, and you shouldn't have any problems.
