Delivery was very fast and efficient. However, the firelighters were in a cardboard box, as if poured in. I think it probably better to put the firelighters in a tied bag first.
Explanation please, Lekto.
I haven't tried the firelighters yet.

We can see that you ordered 2 × 200 + 50 FREE Firelighters. We use thick cardboard packaging instead of plastic, which is designed to protect the firelighters from moisture. Based on the delivery photo, we can also see that the box was delivered in good condition.
Could you please send us a photo of the firelighters you received to info@lektowoodfuels.co.uk? We'd like to take a closer look and investigate the issue.

Used Lekto for past 5 years and to this date never had an issue but this time firelighters didnt turn up, reported it only to receive a patronising AI-generated response. Possibly time to look around.

We'd just like to clarify that the response you received was not AI-generated. Your enquiry was handled personally by one of our Customer Service team members, who did their best to assist you and resolve the issue.
As mentioned earlier, our Customer Service team checked with the courier and found that your missing parcel had been held at the depot, possibly because it was damaged in transit. We therefore arranged a replacement for you, which has already been dispatched. You should receive it within the next couple of days.
We genuinely value your loyalty over the past five years, and we're sorry that this experience has left you disappointed.

The booking was easy and all the discounts were applied. Good information on the delivery process and the van turned up in the allotted time slot. However the delivery driver was unhelpful to say the least. I live in a narrow lane and asked the driver to park on my drive. He refused and blocked the lane in both directions. I asked him to stack the packs in a space that I reserve for your products. He simply tipped them in a heap. Leaving me to sort them into a neat pile.

Have used for several years now….BUT….
Have used for several years now….thats because we have been pleased with their product. I’m sorry to say the poor service has prompted me to write this. So, I would still encourage you to use the company, it’s more a heads up to LEKTO.
I have noticed firefighter quality and size has decreased slightly over the years….like everything i suppose!
But my main gripe is their delivery service. It’s very poor to my rural area. Clearly this is the courier’s issue, but incredibly LEKTO seem to take the courier’s side when they clearly lie about attempting to deliver, say they can’t find the house, then change their story to say we weren’t at home (when I was in all day)…….even when on my booking form I say ‘leave in a secure place’. Then LEKTO keep my money and DPD keep my parcel and wait for me to chase it down! If I didn’t….i wonder what would happen? When I approach LEKTO about this customer service, they seem to suggest that this is the system they use and I should suck it up!
Just not a polite ‘customer is always right’ approach. Maybe I’m old fashioned!

We would, however, like to clarify a few points. We never keep a customer's money while withholding their order. If a parcel is declared missing or returned to us, we always offer either a replacement or a full refund.
Regarding the delivery attempts, we can only investigate based on the information provided by the delivery company, but we certainly do not automatically "take the courier's side." We understand how frustrating failed deliveries can be.
We're also sorry if our communication came across as dismissive, as that was never our intention. Our customer service team is always here to help with any issues that may arise.
Finally, we've noted your comments regarding the product quality. We have not reduced the quality or size of our Firefighters, and our specifications remain consistent. If you've experienced anything different, we'd be happy to investigate further if you contact us directly with the details.
For your next order with us, please send us your order number once you've placed it, and we'll arrange for it to be dispatched via Parcelforce courier instead.
Once again, our apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.
