This is a very reliable company, I have used them for years for gas safety certs and boiler service. They arrive in the promised timeslot, the price is fair, and the service is always useful and thorough. The most recent person I worked with was Gokuklan and he also did the cert last year and a few years ago - it’s good to know they have a consistent team. So, highly recommended.

Although there was a delay on our part in getting everything ready for the required cleaning, he was patient, professional, and ensured the job was done properly.

Booked an EICR for a rental property through OpenRent. Three problems.

First, the engineer refused to use a pay-and-display bay. Even after a resident permit was fetched for him, he wouldn't park, so a family member had to sit in the car for the whole visit. At the end he simply said everything was fine — no walkthrough, no handover.

Second, the tenants returned days later to find the kitchen circuit off and the fridge dead, with a freezer and fridge full of spoiled food they had to bin. Nobody had entered the flat between the inspection and their return, and the fridge had never tripped a breaker in years of tenancies. The company's answer was a photo of the consumer unit and a suggestion that my tenants' appliance must be faulty. Refused to offer any compensation of any kind towards the loss.

Third, having flagged remedial items on the report, they then told me they wouldn't quote for them at all as the property needs a full rewire. So I've paid for a report they won't act on.

Polite emails throughout, but the outcome was: not our problem. Wouldn't use again
