Being robbed by Kood Mobile

Moved out of Montreal, CA in Oct 2025

Cancelled the line in Nov 2025

I thought the line was cancelled before seeing a missed payment in Jan 2026.
I called the rep, and he mentioned that I need to pay the remaining balance even though I did not use the service.
I ended up paying the bill close to $110, and the rep confirmed the line was cancelled.

Again I am being billed for Feb 2026.
This is really frustrating. Just to cancel a line it is a head ache and being robbed.

Not at all user friendly

I would suggest in this day and age of baby boomers that their service is just horrible for those of us that still suffer with technology. There is no clear cut way of contacting a human, it's all AI and it's just so time consuming. Further, when you do reach a human its almost impossible to communicate with whatever form of english/french they may think they are using.

After one day with koodo,I am about to cancel, and they still don't care whether I cancel or not. 8 hours just to transfer and port my number. They have already billed me $123.00,after 1 day.CRTC like all government agencies don't care about anybody, so long as they are not affected. Koodo should be closed down.

Koodo internet service is a waste of money…

Koodo may be ok for phone service but don't waste your time with their Internet service. I have only been with them for about 8 months and it has been 3 months of trying to get the internet to work for more than a couple of hours at a time....... They are not worth the headache......👎🏾👎🏾

1 star because I cant put 0

1 star because I cant put 0. Customer service is beyond abysmal. Becoming like their parent company, telus. They created a problem that they cant fix with Netflix,Disney and Prime subscribers but we will be paying the price, not them. YOU CAN NOT FIX IT FROM YOUR SIDE AND NEITHER CAN THEY. you will have to cancel you subscription and then try remember to set back up again. Or you could just pay double and re-register was the option given me today. I hope that not too many people have to deal with this but I fear it a ploy to charge you more and as you cant fix yourself, people have a tendency to just drop it.

If I could leave a -10 for customer…

If I could leave a -10 for customer service I would! There's no real customer service! This company has to be the worst experience in my life of ownership of a cell phone! Never mind try to get someone in a Canadian call center, that doesn't exist! Absolutely horable, useless, and downright hopeless chance of getting anything started. And they want direct access to my personal bank account...🤔🧐🤨🫣
Koodo Should be ashamed! Is there no more personal service with this company?

What a absolute joke and waste of time!

Beware of Koodo!!!

Never ever choose Koodo period! "0 rated!"

Absolute worst service ever

Absolute worst service ever, spent over three days calling spending hours approx 15-20 hours trying to resolve issues for equipment not received, discrepancies on services and pricing offered. Inability to have customer service issues resolved, emails sent confirming charges to be reversed never re-credited and new charges again and told to call back in 2-3 hours on Feb 2 as they are too busy.

1-Star Review

Very disappointed with Koodo’s customer service.
I was charged $18 for Device Care on two phone lines without my permission. My plan is only $30 per month, so being billed $134 for two phone numbers after just over one month is completely unreasonable.
On Dec 31, 2025, I already paid when activating my two lines and I have receipts with authorization numbers. However, the customer service representative Jeaneth said she could not find my payment and refused to apply it to my first bill.
I spent over 2 hours speaking with customer service and nothing was resolved. I am now reporting this issue to my bank to get my money back, as Koodo failed to take responsibility. This experience makes me feel that Koodo does not care about its customers. I am seriously considering switching to another carrier.

I wish I did my research more before…

I wish I did my research more before settling with Koodo. They were cheaper at the time. They had a deal which would save me $10 a month. I wanted to update. The online agent, said I would need to cancel my current plan, so I had to pay my the balance (hubby got a new phone) of 930. I said so I have to cancel and pay the balance just to save $10. They said it was th cancellation fee for the contract. It doesn't make any sense. You can any other services and they just change the contract on your phone without cancellation fees. I also am paying more than what I signed up for in the contract. Once my contract is done....I'm leaving. They also send your bill to credit bureau if your a few days late to paying the bill. Good luck trying to get your credit score back up.

WTF do you have to do to talk to a real person?

WTF do you have to do to talk to a real live person, when you cant even log on? They changed my password without asking me, two days ago after paying my balance. I can't get a live rep without logging in to my account . I can't log in even after they apparently sent me A change password to my said Email. I am literally at my wits end. It is like Catch 22, I have been scammed by this company. I would advise everyone thinking about dealing with these folks to steer clear.

Do not work with Koodo

Do not work with Koodo. From start to finish getting a new phone and plan was the worst experience of my life. The customer service and sales teams are horrible to deal with. Even calling in to cancel an add-on takes days. There are no ways to do it online. The low prices aren't worth the service issues you will deal with. STAY AWAY!!!!

Not a fan of this company's model.

Least transparent company I've ever seen. Impossible to get through to an actual human being for any customer support. All in all, pretty angry at this company...and I just ordered internet yesterday (it's not even hooked up yet).
Terrible.

Hidden added fees.

I was going through a pretty rough time, ended up not being able to pay for two months, my bill came up to 136 plus activation fee and late charges so in total I paid 210 to get it reconnected the self serve app stated I only needed to pay for the activation fee and the last two months bill, not for this month, I decided to pay the whole thing all at once to be met with another bill a month later for this months bill that I already paid for, next months bill that hasn’t started yet and another 75 dollar activation fee. I call a rep only to be able to barely understand them due to langue differences, then being called rude and not smart because they said I need to pay for an activation fee for every month my phone wasn’t active and having to pay for all the monthly bills my phone wasn’t active. I can somewhat understand the 40 a month to keep your number, but an added 75 dollars for 3 months to activate a phone that’s only be reactivated once is complete bantha fodder. That last payment I gave before this new bill came in is tue only money koodo is ever getting from me again, this is the second time they’ve done this to me. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, I’m making sure no one signs with you again.
