I have been receiving emails for over a…

I have been receiving emails for over a month, saying I owe them $123.35. I quit Koodo Mobile in December, and now I have a competent, honest cell phone provider.
Towards the end of December, I paid Unsubby to cancel my mobile service with Koodo. They have assured me that they have sent you a letter informing you of that. On December 17th, 2025, I switched to another mobility service provider, and at that time, I was issued another telephone number. I have not had the telephone number issued by Koodo (613-227-1377) since then. Also, I paid Koodo the money I owed them.
Please do me a favor, and stop contacting me.

Cellular Data unavailable during power outage

Last night during a weather related power outage I had phone service but not cellular data access. My wife has a plan with Telus (parent company of Koodo) and she had both phone and data access. Very disappointing that data service was denied to me during a power outage when the network was providing it to those on Telus plans.

I constantly get spam calls from telus/koodo offering me deals. They won't stop calling despite me asking them to stop. NEVER give these companies access to your information, this is insane that there is no way to stop these calls.

Fraudsters

Koodo just hit me with a surprise $362.00 bill because of their error and refuse to remove a late fee they slapped in after they charged a double late fee $50 which added to 100. which is illigal, than another 7.00 fee they are a scumbag company who use significant fees to punish consumers especially when they are at fault. They even threw my bank into the negative. They tried to draw money 3 times. It was a nightmare to get ahold of an agent and in the end the last person I talked to who was the. Billing department treated me like i was an idiot. Refused to remove the wrongfully charged fees and gave me a deadline to pay it. Koodo is a horrible company that will rob you blind and will not take any responsibility for their actions and to top it all off they demand that money is paid by april 2nd meanwhile they said I had a credit of almost 200 which made absolutelyno sense, they mailed me a cheque i used it towards the bill but they still said I owed over 300. They use loopholes to make extra cash honestly they need to be in investigated for fraud. I can't wait to cancel my plan. They're crooks

Caution advised

Scammed me into a commitment for a new "free" phone without disclosing terms and conditions over a phone call and severely downgraded my data plan while charging me more than my previous plan, which had more data for less $$$. Customer service has bounced me around for over a week now as I've tried to return the device and now they are telling me it's past date to return the device after dumping my calls day after day and are now demanding over $700 for the phone. The return window closed 2 days ago. I do not recommend this service provider despite having been a customer for nearly 16 years before this issue. I have switched to a different carrier, which has better and more affordable plans, as well as better online customer service.

Wow. Telus/Koodo took money with no services given.

Wow. What a crappy company Koodo is. I signed up via Telus to bundle services. After 2 weeks I still did not have internet. I canceled my account since only 2 weeks had passed. Still Telus and Koodo took money out of my account even though I had cancelled. Then Telus said I would get a cheque within 6 weeks! A cheque? Who sends cheques anymore? And I still have not received it. Koodo took money also claiming that my account was not canceled. I thought that when I cancelled with Telus that it would automatically cancel Koodo. No one at Telus told me otherwise. No such luck. Now Koodo won’t return my money, claiming that I didn’t cancel so I owed the money. They never even hooked up my internet! I had returned the equipment that they sent but they claim I didn’t receive it. Then I received a text from Koodo about the equipment but someone else’s name was on the text.
Koodo and Telus totally suck. I’m really angry about how many mistakes they made. And 7 weeks later it’s still happening. So far I can’t get the money back. Koodo said that MAYBE I would receive a partial refund. I guess this is how they make money since they are unable to supply any services. So why not rip people off?
Do not use these companies unless you want hassle upon hassle.

Been with them for a decade. With their new message system they implemented and noone is available to speak on the phone, I think they actually want customers to leave. I have no time for back and forth chat it may be better for them cutting cost but at what expense? Unbearable customer service? Yes I will be switching.

Ongoing Billing Dispute & Unauthorized Withdrawal – Extremely Frustrating

I have been attempting to resolve a billing issue with Koodo for several weeks and have made multiple documented attempts to contact them.

In January, $140 was withdrawn from my account. After removing auto-pay authorization, a further $140 was withdrawn the following month without my consent. I am currently outside of Canada and clearly informed Koodo of this, yet they continue to insist on phone communication that would require me to pay international charges.

My service was paused, which should have reduced my monthly fee to approximately $15. Despite this, I am being told I owe additional amounts, including Easy Roam charges, even though I have not used mobile data, made calls, or sent messages.

I have requested a clear written breakdown of these charges and have not received consistent answers. Online support has either failed to connect or has not properly addressed the issue.

Due to the lack of resolution, I have now filed a formal complaint with the Commission for Complaints for Telecom-television Services (CCTS).

I am simply asking for:

A clear explanation of the charges

A refund of any unauthorized withdrawals

Written communication while I am outside of the country

This situation could have been resolved quickly with proper customer service and transparency.

Good self serve provider.

I have been a Koodo subscriber for about one year. The service is self serve on their site which lacks the personal touch of other providers including Telus. Overall my experience has been positive and at a competitive price point. I would recommend Koodo as a self serve provider with good cellular options.
