The service received was excellent. Although the settlement took a long time, this was due only to the delays of the house sale. Connor Cogan took over our case when Hira went on maternity leave. On... See more

Probate and Inheritance service
From the first day I had contact with Kings Court Trust, I have had nothing more than 100% professionalism. My contact was with Hayley Hutton and the later Katie Darby. Both ladies where very helpful and kept me inform on how the process was going. The are probably not the cheapest company who sort out probate and inheritance, but you only get what you pay for and I would recommend paying the extra to get a very good professional service. Thank you Katie and Hayley

Sometimes you need a professional.
My father passed away in Thailand. I was only 27 at the time and, having never experienced the loss of someone so close to me, I was incredibly overwhelmed.
After doing some research, I came across Kings Court Trust. From the very first phone call all the way through to meeting my Estate Manager, Douglas, the entire team has been nothing short of incredible. They are professional, proactive, and have made the whole process as smooth as possible despite the numerous challenges.
For me, the most helpful aspect was being able to start the probate process without an upfront payment; I was incredibly grateful for that during such a difficult time of need and having company walk me through every step took an enormous pressure of my shoulders.
I would also like to say a massive thank you to Douglas personally. He has been amazing throughout this over year long journey extremely professional, polite, and always provided the right advice.
He is a real asset to the company. Kings Court Trust also works with many partners who have further aided in making the process seamless.
If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of needing probate services, I cannot recommend them highly enough. A huge thank you to Douglas and the entire team for everything they have done.

We were delighted with the care and attention Aoife Croft at KCT provided in the probate and administration of our mother's estate. Regular updates in a friendly, approachable manner made this process so much easier for us. Would also mention the helpful and attentive actions of Joanna Coleman as we began to navigate this process, and until we were allocated to Aoife, our personal estate manager.

Kings Court Trust (UK inheritance, estate administration)
Received recommendable professional end to end service. Naming the KCT contacts I dealt with, from Charles Melvin-Sparks during scoping out the work and onboarding, then from Ifzal Hussain during the service itself. Both were helpful and responsive. Thank you

Years of delay, HMRC excuse and no distribution to my sons trustees
Beware of this company, they ignore beneficiaries and keep their money for years!!!!!!
My sons’ grandfather died in 2022. Kings Court Trust were appointed to deal with his estate. The main beneficiaries are my two boys – one is now 18, the other is still a minor.
His house was sold in 2024 and, on paper, the estate administration appears to be complete. We’ve been given “final” paperwork showing that the figures have been calculated and that the remaining estate is meant to be held in trust for the boys. However, 20 months after the house sale, they are holding over £300,000 and no money at all has been passed on to the trustees.
Whenever we ask why the funds aren’t being transferred to the boys’ trustees, we are given a vague explanation about “awaiting an HMRC repayment”. No clear details, no proper timeline, and no acknowledgement of how long this has been going on. They refuse to even speak to me, the legal guardian/mother of the minor child.
We’re living abroad in very insecure rental conditions where there is no real protection for tenants. The whole point of this inheritance was to provide stability for the boys, but the money is still sitting with Kings Court Trust and we keep getting the same HMRC repayment excuse.
I don’t want to post all our private financial details in a public review, but I do want to say that the delays and lack of clear communication have caused a huge amount of stress for our family. The boys are now suffering mentally and KCT don't care.
we'll have no choice but go to the regulators and ombudsman-
EDIT in response to Kings Court Trust’s reply:
KCT say they have “been in touch directly with the relevant family members”. To be clear:
– My adult son, who is one of the two main beneficiaries, has not received any clear updated information about why over £300,000 is still being held.
– The two “family member” trustees they have been speaking to are no longer trustees – independent professional trustees (Fidelis) were appointed in October 2025.

Efficient and friendly service
Douglas Elson kept me up to date on developments. He was quick and reassuring in his responses to my questions. I found Douglas to be courteous and professional in his whole approach. Overall I have been very satisfied with King’s Court Trust.
Megan Willmott
I consider myself very fortunate to have had Megan Willmott as my Probate Manager for the last two and half years. Having never gone through the probate process before, I felt a little daunted as to what it would involve. I certainly need not to have been concerned as Megan guided me through this with patience, clarity and respect. Communication with Megan was excellent. We agreed we would communicate once a month by email, more frequently if required, and this suited me very well. It also gave us both a good record of progress. Throughout the process, Megan frequently offered additional help if I needed it. I would like to thank her for all she has done for me and I wish Megan every success in her future career.
Superior Service
Due to family issues, my case has taken 2.5yrs to obtain probate. My personal Estate manager
Mr Wayne Nobile has been professional, articulate & supportive throughout this very difficult time. He has personally shown patiences & kindness while delivering a superior service for KCT. I cannot praise him or KCT enough. Thank you.
Probate experience
The experience was great because communication was clear and I always knew what was happening. The team was professional, approachable, and handled everything efficiently while being understanding during a difficult time. They made a complex process feel much more manageable.
The service provided has been…
The service provided has been exceptional throughout the whole process. Kings Court Trust have provided much support and reassurance, and have supported us during a process which was unknown making it seamless. I would highly recommend this service.
Excellence and expertise
The excellent response I received from my first point of contact, Hayley, made me confident that Kings Court Trust was the best choice for the Probate process. My estate manager, Katie Darby, has administered the estates of both my parents, working with expertise and guiding me through the complexities, smoothly and efficiently. The naturally transactional character of Probate was eased by Katie's sensitivity and understanding which made an enormous difference at a time of bereavement. I was always updated and kept fully informed and reassured. I have learnt a great deal along the way, but I couldn't possibly have attempted this process without the skills, expertise and support of a dedicated professional. My deepest thanks go to Katie for making this a positive experience, and for her outstanding work and approach, my family will be forever grateful.
Clear & respectful communication
After my aunt passed away, Hannah at Kings Court Trust helped us to navigate IHT and grant of probate incredibly efficiently. She was kind and respectful - and her clear and timely communication made the whole thing very straightforward.
Not That Good. EDIT - STILL Not That Good
After months and months and months of chasing hard for a timely distribution of my late mother's estate, we have quite simply had enough and don't know where to turn.
My poor brother and sister as executors, having to deal with the raging incompetence of this company has gone from farce to despair.
Delay after inefficient delay, customer service - that, by all accounts is a zero, the left hand seemingly not knowing what the right hand is doing, complaints made, complaints upheld and still the saga continues without any reassurance of a timely and satisfactory conclusion.
Trustpilot asks for the date of this 'experience' - from approximately June 2024 to date and ongoing.
EDIT: To date (18/12/25), no response received to MY grievance. I did receive a response to someone else's grievance and requested they respond to mine instead - but nothing.
2nd EDIT: Received a (published below) response from Scot today stating he/KTC responded/reached out directly to me after publishing my review on 8th December. This is not completely factually correct in so far that Scot did respond - but responded to me about the dismal review 'dink' left on the same day - basically the wrong review.
I did reply at the time to Scot stating that I would be happy to discuss matters with him/KCT when he responded correctly to my review - not 'dink's'.

Employed kings court to handle my late mothers probate, as a family we are becoming frustrated with the lack of progress, they seam to blame HMRC which I can understand but they should have the skills and experience to find a way through, it feels they are happy to string us along as they are holding a large amount of money from the sale of our property.
Probate Administration
Kings Court Trust was used to administer the probate of the will of a close colleague. I found them to be professional, efficient, informative, honest and friendly. It handled every aspect to the administration and was completely transparant throughout. A dedicated estate administrator, Katie Darby, was allocated who drove the process through to a successful conclusion. I would endorse any recommendation made to new clients.
I had an excellent experience with…
I had an excellent experience with Kings Court Trust who helped with an application for a grant of probate for my late brother. They were professional, approachable, and supportive throughout a very difficult time. Everything was explained clearly which made things much easier and less stressful. Their expertise and genuine care stood out. I would highly recommend Ifzal Hussain and Joanna to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate service.
