I travelled some distance to buy my car. All tests had been done and work completed beforehand. Friendly and welcoming staff. I was offered tea or coffee. All paperwork was completed efficiently and I... See more

Excellent customer service from Reese…
Excellent customer service from Reese explained everything in an easy to understand way, everything was great from test drive to collection. Will definitely use again.
Sales and service
I have used Johnson’s Suzuki at Bilston for my last 4 vehicles. For both purchase and service. The whole team are always friendly and knowledgeable and you feel comfortable dealing with them. I would always recommend them.
Unsafe car and shocking failure of customer care
Wish I could give this no stars. I am writing this to alert management to an ongoing formal complaint regarding my purchase of a 2020 Ford Fiesta Active (MA20 FYD) from the Sutton Coldfield branch.
I was led to believe the car was undergoing a full multi-point safety check and valet before collection. However, less than 24 hours after collecting it, the car suffered a catastrophic mechanical failure (a total clutch failure) on the high-speed Swinfen Interchange. The steering wheel jerked violently, and power completely cut out, leaving me in active physical danger. The emergency services (police) had to attend the scene to rescue me from fast-moving traffic.
It has appeared that pre-sale checks were entirely bypassed: the car was handed over covered in cobwebs, and I assume the names, and device profiles left on the infotainment system where that of the previous owner's and may representing a severe, multi-subject UK GDPR breach.
To compound this life-threatening situation, the customer service from the salesman (Paul Clark) and the Sales Manager has been appalling. When stranded at the roadside, I was patronized and told to "call my father" to handle the recovery. When arriving at the service centre via a recovery truck, I was completely ignored by the salesman Paul. At handover, staff were actively hostile when a standard request for new floor mats was made, and the manager deliberately blanked my polite thank-yous.
A formal vehicle rejection under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and a finance withdrawal under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 have been sent to Johnsons Head Office, the branch email, and Santander Consumer Finance. I expect an immediate cancellation of this agreement and a full refund of my deposit.
Johnsons Hyundai Coventry: did not carry out the requested work . .
Johnsons Hyundai Coventry:
I had recently purchased a used Hyundai from a non-Hyundai dealer and contacted Johnsons Hyundai Coventry because I wanted the vehicle thoroughly inspected to make sure everything was as it should be.
I explained this to customer service by telephone and was told that they could carry out a PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) for approximately £120.
I subsequently booked the required service online and specifically requested the quoted PDI in the booking notes. Customer service then called me to confirm the booking and again confirmed that the PDI had been arranged. The price shown on the booking was subsequently amended to £174, which I was perfectly happy to pay.
However, when I took the car in, the service representative seemed unable to understand why I wanted a PDI carried out on a second-hand car. I explained again that I had only just purchased the vehicle and wanted a thorough inspection, particularly as this had already been discussed, booked and priced by their customer service team.
Despite this, the PDI was never carried out. After completing the service, the car was simply returned to me with the comment that everything "looked OK".
That was not what I had requested or booked. I specifically wanted a thorough inspection carried out by a Hyundai main dealer, together with a report confirming the condition of the vehicle, and I was quite prepared to pay the agreed £174 for this.
Very disappointing, particularly as the requirement had been clearly explained in advance and confirmed by Johnsons themselves before I brought the car in.
My experience with the sales person
My experience with the sales person was very great and easy to understand they made less difficult more strait-forward
A very professional service
Had multiple dealing with Johnsons and in every respect I’ve found them to be very professional, very friendly and they offer a high level of customer satisfaction and confidence, in addition I believe for a main Ford dealership they are competitive in their pricing structures. We will continue to use them and I have no hesitation in recommending them
Fantastic service from beginning to…
Fantastic service from beginning to end, Reece was really helpful and professional
Chris was great throughout
Chris was great throughout. Great knowledge of the car. Communication was great. Even though it took a little longer to handover the car than expected. This was due to the quality check and ammendments made before he was happy to complete.
If you want to be lied to if something…
If you want to be lied to if something goes wrong with your car then Johnsons of Swindon is the place for you to buy a car . Bought a car from Johnson’s Swindon and on the day of purchase was extremely pleased with the service I received but less than 2 weeks into ownership I discovered that the car had 2 outstanding safety recalls . At first things seemed simple , they would collect the car and take it to the dealership to have the recalls done but the amount of things that changed during the next week and the lies I was told proved far too stressful so I told them I would do it myself . Buying a car is expensive and I am aware that things can and will go wrong but the way the problems are handled makes all the difference between purchasing again from the garage or not and on this occasion it is a not ! Their head office complaints department is a waste of time as all they do is refer the complaint to the manager of the garage who happened to be one of the people I was complaining about . I suppose on the plus side they didn’t tell me the car was only used once a week by a little old lady to go shopping which is the normal spiel you get from car salesmen
Johnsons Volkswagen, Stafford
I'd endorse Johnsons Volkswagen Stafford because it makes a refreshing change to find a dealership that doesn't hassle for more sales. They are most helpful with enquiries and I am always make to feel welcome when I visit.
The staff were friendly
The staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. They explained everything clearly, kept me informed throughout the service, and completed the work to a high standard. I also appreciated the efficient and courteous service.
I am very happy with Johnson Honda and would definitely recommend their service to others. Thank you to the whole team for the excellent customer service.
A garage I would never recommend
I booked my VW Arteon with Johnsons VW in Stafford via Secret Service. My Arteon was having an MOT and full service. I collected my car some four hours or so later, arriving home I discovered a Data plug sitting in my centre console. There was no written explanation and not being an auto electrician I contacted Johnsons when I was passed on to a young femail who informed me she was either a spokesperson or manager for the service department.
I explained (or attempted to) my discovering of the data plug where upon she started to recite the work I had done earlier that day. I told her I was aware of what had been done but wanted to know about the data plug. She then said the work completed on my car would not have required removal of the plug to which I asked her whose data plug it was and telling her it certainly wasn't in my centre consol when I delivered the car earlier. At this point she said she would hang up the phone if I was going to be rude!! At this point I returned to Johnsons to get things sorted. I was met by another manager, who apologised and explained the data plug was no longer required on my Arteon.
I asked why the young lady failed to ask the mechanic who serviced my car but instead treated me like some idiot. I will never use this garage again or until they learn customer service
Always great service from Johnson Hyundai Liverpool
Always great service from Mike - service manager when I take my car in for service and also lovely to have the reception staff Amy who was also attentive and helpful. Great job as always.
VW in Warrington - please avoid.
This is for Johnsons Volkswagen in Warrington.
1. Their prices are extortionate. They wanted over £100 to replace my wiper blades.
2. They cannot communicate. I was told I would be contacted when my car was ready but it didn't happen. I phoned over 20 times throughout the day and no one answered once. This happened multiple times.
3. They're untrustworthy. They told me I needed 4 new tyres. I checked myself and had a separate mechanic check; the tread on all 4 tyres were well within legal limits.
I cannot stress this enough, please do not go there. It is just not worth it.
Highly recommended
Really helpful and friendly, couldn't ask for more. Highly recommended if your looking for a car and want excellent customer service
Absolutely fantastic customer service
Absolutely fantastic customer service, the team went out of their way to accommodate my needs - highly recommended.
Excellent service from Ricardo and the team at Johnson's VW Sutton Coldfield
Ricardo and the team at Johnsons Volkswagen in Sutton Coldfield were really helpful and attentive when I purchased a used VW Polo for my son. From start to finish, nothing was too much trouble, and they made the whole process feel straightforward and reassuring.
The only downside was the vehicle tax. I paid for 12 months, but because the car was purchased on 31st July, the DVLA system automatically started the tax from the beginning of the month, meaning I effectively lost nearly a month. On reflection, I would have waited until the following day to collect the car had I known, so it would have been helpful if this had been mentioned at the time.
Aside from that, the car was immaculate when I collected it. It was clear that the whole team had worked hard to get it into such a lovely condition. Overall, I was very pleased with the service and the car.
Fantastic overall experience from start…
Fantastic overall experience from start to finish when purchasing an approved uses car from Johnson's Sutton Coldfield. The staff were all polite, professional, friendly and courteous. Would highly recommend
