I was quoted £120 on the phone for a call-out, clearly told that was the only fee payable if they attended. After the visit, JG Pest Control took a further £270 from my card without authorisation... See more

They failed to solve the pest problem even after multiple expensive treatments. Customer service is terrible - they don't show up for appointments and ignore calls. A complete waste of time and money.... See more

We contacted JG Pest Control with a cockroach issue in one of our managed properties and they were very friendly and helpful. They attended the property really quickly and dealt with the issue. We have had no further reports of a problem from our tenants. Their prices are also competitive!

I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Their representative who did not seem particularly confident in his own abilities took a very small number photos on his phone. He didn't discuss or explain the nature of what he was seeing nor did he distinguish between what had been previously been treated and what if any may require future treatments.
When he left we were no clearer on the state of any of the wood than before he visited.
We then received an email from the company which proposed extensive treatment which seemed to require a number of men to carry it out. I received an email asking if I was satisfied with the the service, I replied to the contrary.
Saying I would like to discuss the diagnostic process to ensure this was correct ( thinking that the few photos may have given the impression that some things that have previously been treated were live as there was very little debris relating to these and that I wasn't totally happy with this. I have not heard from the company since. I feel this had just been a matter of paying a fee and having no valid expert site visit or true useful expert advice

I am not sure that JG Pest Control did anything that we couldn't have done ourselves. They put down the bate (which we could have done). After they had finished, we found a dead rat which had obviously been lying under a slab for a considerable amount of time and once we got rid of it, the rats disappeared. I guess I thought they would do something a bit different than laying the same bate which we could buy in a shop
It is expensive I didn't know at the time that the local council dealt with the problem at a very low cost of £60. I had three visits from this company and they did not find the source of the problem ie.where the rat was gaining access to my house. It took only one visit from the council to find two places where the rat gained entrance. I paid an exorbitant price for rat poison to be placed and no results. I would not reccommend these people. They should have the correct equipment with them to lift a manhole cover and perhaps they would have seen the hole in the wall where the rat had direct access to my house.
Very dissatisfied customer

Too expensive. It would have been more efficient for the different employees to have some idea of what had happened previously. Some of them contradicted each other. In our case they were unsuccessful and we still have the problem. The guarantee doesn't work when the number of visits is restricted.
Gr8 service and good advice
They follow up as well

Expensive but effective at getting rid of mice as soon as possible

Appointments will be rescheduled at their convenience - not yours. Appointments will be cancelled at the LAST minute, even if you're working from home specifically to accommodate the appointment. Work was left incomplete. Staff on the telephone were extremely rude - honestly.

My experience was not a good one, after being told three technician visits would do the job after the 6th and the job still not done correctly I gave up and even gave up complaining. Will never use them again awefull from day one. I would pay more and go with a different company. Technicians were nice and polite but unable to communicate and manager is waste of time 8months later in stil waiting for him to respond.

Great company really quick to come out and although the initial call out fee seems a fair bit that covered me for extra visits when the issue hadn't gone away!

Not worth the money! This is a very expensive service and did not get rid of the problem. We still kept seeing the same mouse over and over again. The last person we spoke to just told us that there is no magic trick to get rid if rodents and sometimes they are impossible to catch. If this is the case, the don't charge nearly £400!!

JG Pest Control were great before I paid and then not so great afterwards. Numerous miscommunications, failure to get the job done properly, didn't stick to their guarantee, I gave up after two visits.

1. The first guy that came out did such a poor job - he didn't take a look at holes, didn't attempt to block, didn't even explain the procedure - he just laid out rat poison in the open (didn't think about little kids or pets. They sent someone out later to rectify his colleagues mistakes- so much better!
2a calling for availability was a nightmare. They couldn't fit me in for weeks and then weeks later I'd be out of my window(see next complaint)
2b They have a sneaky terms and conditions make sure you read! I didn't see there's a timeframe you pay for- so despite the several hundred quid when I called to schedule they told me my window had expired and I'd have to pay again
Update 20/4/17- you did not try to call again, you emailed me again to ask me to reconsider my review. I have since replied- it is 10am. I highlight again that when I complained initially- you did not acknowledge my complaint AT ALL especially the rogue job your worker did in leaving rat poison in the open where kids and pets roam.
