Inadequate contact faciilty

Their online contact form does not provide the option to upload documents or images, as part of the information provided. Also, the person that I first spoke to on their Helpline did not know whether or not this was possible, guessed, and got it wrong.

Unprofessional Representative

I wasn’t able to open an account to transfer an ISA from another platform to IWeb because of the confusing online form . I contacted IWeb for help and encountered an unprofessional representative who was working away in the background as well as dealing with me, then burst into laughter when I was having problems linking my Bank account to IWeb. I then ended the call and contacted my Bank as I was concerned it may have been a scam !!
With regards to your reply on 6/3/2025
If you took the time to listen to the recording of the conversation it should be clear to you why I am more than disappointed with your agents behaviour !
The online form is worded for new and regular cash investment and not for stocks and shares isa transfer from another platform.
I confirmed the Bank approval and had Bank confirmation of the details.The problem is at IWeb.
The agents conduct was very unprofessional.
Time of call 09.53 for 28ins on 4/3/25 to 03450707129

On the 6/3/25 I provided the the information as requested including my Email address as my preferred means of contact I have not yet had a response as to the reason why the agent from IWeb wasn’t able to open an ISA account for me after been given all the necessary information. With IWeb not responding as requested, l needed more transparency and reassurance before investing with them. I now would like ALL of my data deleted from IWeb as I have now contacted another provider.

Cheap, reliable, great customer service

I've used iWeb for years. It amazes me they're not covered more in the media.
Trades are £5 each and are done quickly.
I've transferred several ISA's in and the team have always been really efficient and nice with it.
Highly recommend.

The agent responded quickly

The agent responded quickly, and answered all my questions.

I've been with Iweb for 10 years or so, and have been very happy with them. The logon ought to be 2-factor aunthentication. I did resent the AJ Bell charges for my Sipp, but it looks like both Iweb and AJ Bell will be changing their charges in the near future.

Lack 2FA option.

I couldn't find any way to configure 2 factor authentication. There should be one, ideally works with security key as well.

Investing blind...

The website looks straightforward but that is the problem. It is difficult to determine which funds to invest in - you can search by fund manager but I cannot see where you get details about those funds, eg past performance, underlying investments and (most importantly) charges.

I’m sorry to hear that you were unable to find the detail you were looking for when researching which funds you were looking to trade in.

Wehn you are in our Funds Centre page https://www.markets.iweb-sharedealing.co.uk/funds-centre/ , and you either know the fund you are looking for or the fund provider you e.g. BlackRock, you can click “show 112 results” (in this example) and browse the funds. When you find one you want to find more information about you can click the orange plus symbol to open a preview. You can see the ongoing charges and then scroll down to the past performance chart. For a more detailed view you can click on the “Details page” button and find out the asset allocation by clicking on the “Breakdown” tab.

Chat bot tworks well

I used the chat bot to get some funds transferred from one account to another. Once the bot identified me I was passed on to an operator and the task sorted immediately.

Great Value and Excellent Customer Service

I have been with IWeb for over four years and am highly impressed by its low fees and excellent customer service. Zero platform charges and no annual account fees are a major advantage. I wish I had transferred my Fidelity and M&G funds to IWeb sooner—I could have saved several hundred pounds a year. I'm glad I finally made the move. The transfer process was smooth and hassle-free.

Another feature that stood out to me is the online chat function. Every time I initiated a chat, a real person promptly assisted me and provided clear, helpful responses. Imad, in particular, has helped me multiple times with great efficiency.

I recently heard the Govt had changed…

I recently heard the Govt had changed max profit on shares, so have to open ISA and put shares in. Stuart and Iweb was most helpful. i got my shares ISA up and running and sold shares in standard account and balance transferred to ISA. simple and not ridiculously expensive
