Felt reassured that refurbishment is done thoroughly (unlike a previous experience from another tech shop) as a detailed explanation is online. Full descriptions attached to refurbished items for purchase, easy to add additions and items are very reasonably priced.
Order processed Monday afternoon, Courier picked up Wednesday afternoon, received Thursday morning, plug and play straight away. Very happy.

No Frills, No Dramas - Immaculate Desktop
Really enjoying the PC - immaculate and exactly as described in terms of specs. I even got some lollies...
Good value for the specs, certainly cheaper than I found on TradeMe for comparable systems. It's a few years old but more than capable as a development machine.
The packaging was good and the machine arrived unscathed in Christchurch. It's worth calling out the 'no frills' aspect. I only needed (and asked for) the desktop as I have some very specific things in mind for it, and that's basically what I got. There was nothing in the way of documentation, recovery disk, etc. I'm fine with that and it's now running FreeBSD quite happily, but I presume they cater for people who need more if you ask - I just didn't have any need to contact hungryPC.
Unfortunately there are some 'warranty void' stickers which are an annoyance - these things are intended to be taken apart !
Overall I'd be happy to purchase more kit, so thank you !

Modern PC's come with no documentation or recovery disc's as it's all online now, most machines don't have CD/DVD disc drives, so recovery options are now built into the operating system, or you can re-download the installer directly from Microsoft, for free, at any stage, to put on a USB :) We are always happy to help with this also if needed.
The warranty seals are relatively standard on most computers these days, this is to verify the integrity of the system as it was supplied, if the device is modified internally by a third party after we have supplied it, we cannot be held liable for issues caused by parts or workmanship supplied by any third party. We are more than happy to install any upgrades you see fit before shipment and test as a complete finished build, to guarantee it's reliability and ensure no risk to your warranty from us :) Ultimately if you ever need any support just reach out, we go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.
