I would highly recommend Holborn and Geoff in particular if you are a UK Pat or served in UK Military and now living overseas. They cleaned up a lot of mess from other so called ExPat specialists and turned around my portfolio from 2% growth to over 30% within 12 months

I was advised by Holborn Assets to invest into Godwin Capital 8 in the UK, which was dully advertised as being secured and holding a first legal charge. Godwin went into administration not long after I subscribed. It appears from investigation of appointed liquidators (MHA) that not only investments were not secured, but the funds may have been misused to refloat other funds and that hopes for repayment were extremely low which came as a shocking news. Holborn has not given us any document regarding their due diligence prior to commercialization of this product.
I work with few company, Holborn after 10years is the one I lose and lose a lot!! Was suppose to be safe capital investments but 4 of them fall and lose all !! I highly recommend to stay away from Holborn who just sale products and get com and don’t take responsibility when it’s turning bad !!
Always professional, and accommodating. They do what they say they are going to do.

I was introduced the Holborn by Geoff Dore, having been introduced to him via an ex colleague of mine in the UK. Geoff was very easy to talk with, was helpful and explained things in a clear and pleasent manner. We did all of our talking via MS Team meetings which worked perfectly. He also showed an interest in what I do for a living and where I live, many advisors wouldn't show that level of interest. His explanation of the different products was clear and at no time did he try to point me in any direction - he let me decide what I felt was best for me and talked me through it. Unlike other advisors I've met, Geoff was not 'pushy' at all. His communication and that of his colleagues has been easy to follow and easy to understand. I have already advised my sister to chat with him!!

While living in Dubai my wife and I took our pensions out of the uk (70k) and took Bob Parker's advice to invest in a QROPS. My wife lost all her pension (20k) and I had a low to med risk investment (50k) Company went into adminstration. After contacted them countless time they where not interested as they already got there commission, finally got some of the money back (17k) by employing a consultant in the uk. Use this company at your peril, you dont have to take my word for it but please google Bob Parker and Holburn assets who went into liquidation and are still under investgation by FSCS with countless claims against them in the uk. Note the only reason they are still going in Dubai is that they are not regulated by anyone.
I am a private investor, and I want to warn others about HOLBORN ASSETS. Their adviser, Anthony
Porrovecchio, pushed me to invest in two supposedly “SECURED” bonds (Godwin 8 and Empire Special
Situation 1). I had clearly stated that I only wanted safe, regulated, low-risk products. Yet these products
were in fact risky, unregulated, and are now under judicial administration. Reports confirm they were
not secured, with a high risk of total loss.
I contacted HOLBORN ASSETS Vietnam (Andrew Menzies and Anthony Porrovecchio), as well as HOLBORN Hong Kong (Greg Miller) and Dubai (Robert Parker). None of them reply me directly ; I only got automatic and useless answers.
HOLBORN ASSETS has shown serious incompetence and negligence. They refuse to take responsibility
for the financial damage they caused.
If you are a private investor, I strongly advise you to stay away from HOLBORN ASSETS.
Since connecting with my current advisor, Anben, my experience has improved significantly. His communication, professionalism, and service have been great!

Update 30.01.26: since my last message noone has contacted me. I would like to precise that the stakeholders concerned in this case are:
Anthony PORROVECCHIO, Andrew MENZIES /Vietnam), Greg MILLER (Hong Kong), Robert Parker (Dubai).
Initial message:
I am a private investor and I am issuing a clear warning about HOLBORN ASSETS. I was advised to invest in a product presented as a “secured” bond (Godwin), despite having explicitly stated that I only wanted safe, regulated, low-risk investments.
In reality, this product was high-risk and unregulated and is now under judicial administration. Independent reports confirm that it was never secured and carries a substantial risk of total loss. This represents a serious failure of advice and a clear misrepresentation of the product’s true risk profile.
Following the collapse of this product, HOLBORN ASSETS and its offices in Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Dubai have ceased all communication. There has been no transparency, no remediation, and no accountability.
HOLBORN ASSETS has demonstrated serious negligence, inadequate due diligence, and a disregard for basic investor protection standards. They refuse to accept responsibility for the financial harm resulting from their advice.
Private investors should treat this as a serious warning and avoid HOLBORN ASSETS.

I am sharing my personal experience with a Senior Partner -level financial adviser at an international asset management firm operating in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I received financial advice from this adviser between 2020 and 2025. During this period, I later felt uncomfortable with the advice provided, and after reviewing the matter more closely with third parties , It has been identified that huge issues, high charges and loses that raised concerns regarding competence and suitability. Based on my experience, I believe it is important for new investors to conduct thorough independent research and seek a second professional opinion before making any financial decisions. I have been advised to submit this information for ASIC’s consideration.
Cannot thank Keren Bobker for her time and professional approach in giving advice for how best to return to the UK with your personal finances and tax affairs.
She set my mind at ease straight away and gave pragmatic solutions to whatever questions I asked.
Fully recommend anyone who is looking to return to the UK to get valued advice before you move back.
