The best food box for quality and value. Keto options are amazing!

I am not a customer of Green Chef never have been never will be, however last month I returned home to find a box on my doorstep, it had my address on it with another females name on it. I contacted the company and was told to keep the box and that would be the last I would hear about it. Today I received a letter to my address for the named female demanding payment for the box and threatening bailiffs. I again contacted Greenchef to demand my address be removed from the account of that female, I do not fully believe that this will be fully actioned.

Stupidly I thought green chef was vegitarian or vegan so was surprised to find meat
So far the meals have been good

Have tried several online food services, and Green Chef is by far the best. Really good quality food. Good portion sizes. Easy to follow recipes and a good range of recipes. Easy to order and amend if needed.

Been sent a box even though I unsubscribed weeks ago
Got a message saying it had been sent in error but they have still charged me for it
Can someone sort this out please?
Not on chat as it clearly doesn't work
Not good enough to treat people this way.

Great selection of nutritional meals. Lots of extra flavours from nuts, seeds and herbs.

Love the thought of Green Chef and tried on and off for several years, always 3 months at the start of the year. Unfortunately nothing improves, missed products, steak being one, the main ingredient for a dish! Vegetables with mould, and clearly nothing is as fresh as the pictures you see. Best by dates run out within the week. So limited to when I have to eat them. It really is a shame because they are tasty meals, quick to make and fit into my life completely. But after 3 months of let downs, I give up.

signed up briefly and cancelled, meals were meh, fine. Negative review motivated by having to pay to text to stop their spam texts, despite standard texts being free on my phone plan. Only 15p but still, that's so shitty

We signed following a friend's recommendation. The only positive I can give is their variety of dishes to select from was good.
Then onto the negatives. Initially the deliveries were good. Then over time, the quality of ingredients started to drop and items were frequently missing. This wasn't a huge issue if it was just a garlic bulb that I could substitute for something else we already had, or the menu cards which I could just look on my phone at instead. But it was the main meats for the dishes I'd selected. The whole point of signing up was to remove the need for me to go to the shops because I wasn't well. Green Chef's solution was to offer me credit off another order. The final straw was when I ordered 4 meals for a week and 3 of the 4 dishes had meats missing and the vegetables supplied were way past their best. So I cancelled the subscription. Since then I have been hounded by telephone calls trying to pressurise me into signing back up. These calls come from mobile numbers and are international call centres. Each time I ask them to stop calling me and to remove my personal details from their database. I then block the mobile number on my phone and report as spam. None of this has stopped the calls because they just use a different mobile number each time to call me again and again.
Editted to add I was called by Alvin who claimed to be a manager at Green Chef but the number came up on my phone as hello fresh.... Alvin apologised and offered me a refund of the credit I still had on my account and agreed to remove my details from the sales list and delete my account. I guess time will tell if it really does get done!

I've given it a couple of weeks, but I don't think it's right for me. The meal selection isn't great, and some ingredients are missing or incorrect. Additionally, the box I received today had a family of ants on it, which raises concerns about sanitation. I will be canceling my subscription.
*As a result of the box, there is now an infestation of ants in the flat where the box was left which I now need to get rid off.

All the meals we have tried have been delicious. It makes meal planning so much easier when you have everything you need to prepare at hand.

Really tasty fish meals . It’s lovely to have a change with really different ingredients.

I have had two deliveries of three meals each time .
I have had to phone both times with errors and damage.
The call centre is in the Philippines which means you have to try and understand a barrage of cliche replies from almost incomprehensible dialogue . Staff are helpful and polite ,but it doesn't alter the fact they can do nothing to put right the errors .

Green Chef has gone grim. Heavy reliance on additives in spice and sauce. Stodgy junk. Trans fats in bread. Chewy lamb. Too much broccoli. Never again

I've used other recipe boxes, and this is my favourite so far. It allows me to choose meals that align with my nutritional preferences, such as low-carb, high protein, high-fibre, etc. The range of vegetarian recipes seems to be more interesting than usual, and you can add extras such as prawns or chicken, which is useful if you have non-vegetarians sharing the meal. So far, the recipes have been relatively easy to cook, and deliciously tasty. They tell you what utensils you need, which is useful to know if you're cooking in a kitchen that's not so well equipped. We usually only get recipe boxes for a (self-catering) holiday - we're retired so we have a few - but I think we'll be having some Green Chef boxes at home too.
My only gripe is the number of plastic sachets for some of the ingredients, but that's a difficult problem to solve. Maybe reusable/returnable containers? Or compostable plant-based materials?
