Save your money

I purchased this with a view that delivery drivers wouldn't keep disturbing my wife who works from home. On their site it seems the ideal solution but once installed the cracks began to appear.

The delay between the app and the device is monumental. Delivery drivers aren't prepared to wait the time it takes from them pressing the call button or being seen by the camera, and if the box is locked, they dump the parcel on the doorstep or knock on the door.

All of the basic features that could make this so much better are behind a £100 per year additional subscription package.

The battery life is also atrocious, with the overly sensitive motion detection probably being behind this. You can fine tune it with a human detection option, but you have to pay for that.

I have reached out to Gonoknok for support, and they have offered suggestions, but ultimately their go to response is to have me pay for the subscription model.

I've mostly given up on mine, and have gone back to the reliable Door knock knock option.

AVOID AT ALL COST

We have had this piece of crap for about 16months,
Got new broadband can not connect the box,
Sent screenshot no help,
They say send it back at cost to me,
Yet they send some minion to replace the box with a new one on somebody's review,
What good is a company that does not talk on the phone,
Now they are taking me to court,
Avoid at all costs,
This guy is a crook I've gave them a decent review,
After the boss called me and said it's people like me that try to get the box free,
Take me to court I'm not working at the minute so good luck with that.
I know somewhere I'd like to put his box.
You will reply to the review that's all ya good for.

The GONOKNOK company had amazing…

The GONOKNOK company had amazing customer service. I had an issue and they had no hesitation fixing it. Sometimes you call up a company and it’s just a problem to get help. Well Zoe just said we’ll sort it with no worries. Love having the parcel box. Ever since having it I have never had a missed delivery or re delivery as the couriers just use the box. Highly recommend

Secure Modern Parcel Box

Having disabilities when needing a parcel getting to the door takes time and delivery drivers are always in a rush so purchasing the gonoknok parcel Box made my life much simpler for my disability and when I am at appointments I dont need worry about my parcel being delivered somewhere or going back to the depot because it goes to the parcel box.

You get an up to date mobile App which you can unlock the box, speak through microphone with the App, send returns through the app and set motions and recording and much more theres so much features in the APP for the parcel box its unreal.

The parcel box requires a stable Internet connection but what doesn't require Internet nowadays? I run mine on a 5G Hub router without issue and I can use the app when I am out too even the Box camera seeing driveway and whos at the door when they press the parcel box bell I get a ringing notification.

Fully recommended and great company.

Very shady company with poor customer service

We originally purchased the product in the summer of 2024, under the deal of ‘the box is free, but to use it, you must pay a subscription.’ We signed up, and paid the monthly subscription and had continuous problems with the box disconnecting from the app and refusing to reconnect. This meant we regularly couldn’t access parcels, or the box wouldn’t open for deliveries. We had to constantly use the manual override. We explained this and returned the box, and someone came and fitted a new one to the house, taking the packaging with them (also taking a photographs of the house and using it on the website without permission.) Within weeks, I had the same problems, so we cancelled our subscription a few months later.

We heard nothing at all, then a year later, the company tried to take a payment of £199 from my bank from the original card details. I contacted them and was told that I was still liable to pay the subscription, even though it had been cancelled as we hadn’t returned the box. I contacted them to query and explained that we now had no return packaging, to be told that we must pay 12x9.99, and return the box at our own cost, or the money was going to a debt collection agency. We paid this with new card details, which we absolutely did not give permission to be saved, and less than 24 hours later, they have tried to take a further payment of £199 from the card we paid with yesterday.

I couldn’t recommend avoiding this company enough! We will be seeking further guidance on the matter of the retained card details.

Since posting this, I have received an unpleasant email stating that my account will be sent to debt collection, (despite being fully paid, the day the contacted me to say they wanted money) unless I remove the review.

I would like to clarify that there was only the ‘second box’ at the property as the first was retuned. The subscription for the second box was cancelled in winter 2024 as this also did not work, so the box was absolutely not used. It was not even charged as it sealed shut and refused to connect again. There was no email communication at all, until I contacted them yesterday about the random £199 payment (which was not even the £119 they said was owed for a years subscription).

I have all screenshots and will be seeking legal advices

You received a GO NOKNOK unit free of charge as part of a rental plan with an agreed monthly subscription. Payments were stopped, and the system and device continued to be used for over 12 months without payment, despite multiple email communications from our team attempting to resolve the matter. This also included continued use of a second unit that was installed for you.

As a small UK business working hard to solve real delivery problems, we rely on fair and responsible use of our service. Unfortunately, this review omits key facts relating to ongoing use without payment.

We remain open to resolving this matter fairly and would welcome direct contact so we can bring it to a proper conclusion.

Avoid !

Was great at first until started to get problem with the computer in the box, contacted customer support but kept getting fobbed off so canceled subscription on £9.99. Waste of money for the box and subscription I would advise to look elsewhere and avoid these money grabbers

Great Parcel Box & Easy to Use App

Really happy with my Gonoknok parcel box, no more stressing about missed deliveries or constantly using my neighbours as my post office!! Love the real time camera and interactive features, have it set to recognise people as movement is too sensitive for my location. Also like the fact that I can check the front of my house when I’m away. Would highly recommend, 5 star service and easy to use app!

Great initiative and superb idea

Great initiative and superb idea. However unfortunately for us it did not seem to work as well as it could’ve done in other areas, because the couriers did not always comply with the box by posting in there. With some technical support I’m sure this would be a brilliant idea, and the parcel box is quite sturdy. The cctv on the front is a great feature that offers additional security for your property. We had a few issues with connection which was a difficulty but this may be location dependent as we are on the outskirts of a town as opposed to central. Customer service have always been speedy to respond by email and support message online. Would be great to have a telephone number though !

I love my gonoknock box

I love my gonoknock box. It's easy to use and set up and the problems I did have at first was sorted quickly and politely. It's so easy when you sell on vinted or when sending back items but also fab at keeping porch pirates off my delivery's. So far very happy and thinking about getting there bigger box once me move.

Falsely advertised product with so many…

Falsely advertised product with so many flaws it feels like the item is still in production stage. Customer service is a complete joke too, I have been paying for a subscription for an item I’m not getting the full use out of and nobody will help me to resolve it ! Emailed customer service lots of times and spoke on live chat and they have tried to charge me more money for their crappy product that doesn’t work. Battery life claims on the website are hilarious as it says something like 6 months, I’ve charged it at least every 3 weeks and I have it on the lowest notification settings. Waste of money, time and your sanity. Don’t feel like fighting with them? Don’t buy any of their products.

EDIT- 01.05.25- I have now been emailed by the company to remove my review like many others. i think the product idea is great and have agreed to remove my negative review once i have received a satisfactory solution to my issue with the device.

Update (05/01/25): The company has confirmed they will only proceed with support once this review is removed. The device remains unresolved at time of writing.

Update (04/02/26) The company have still been charging me 9.99 per month for the subscription and told me they will not stop taking my money until i send the device back to them. Several months on now and the device still isn't working and no assistance from the company to resolve the issue. Just emails from them telling me to remove my "Fake" review.

Amazing solution for deliveries

The Gonoknok is such a handy thing to have. It makes it so much easier to receive parcels and know they are in a safe place. The system works really well and now I don't have to worry about my parcels going missing or being left in the rain.
The customer service is amazing and really quick to help with any questions.

This is life saviour for me
