what bothers me is the sequencing rather than the checks.
every operator asks for documents and that is fine.
this one asks at the exact moment your money is waiting, which makes the wait for a document and the wait for a payout the same wait.
mine ran twelve days. asked twice whether the KYC can be done up front, before any deposit, and was told twice that it is not currently offered.
so the delay is a design choice, which makes it much harder to be patient about.
