Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 61 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently faced issues with payment systems, including online portals not recognizing references or cards. Many were dissatisfied with high and escalating parking charges, often received without clear initial notification. Reviewers also noted a lack of prominent parking signage, leading to unexpected fines. The appeal process was widely criticized, with rejections and limited human customer service. However, some customers reported fines were still pursued despite providing proof of payment, leading to further escalation. Others felt the company issued fines under unfair circumstances like short overstays or emergencies.

A complete gang of crooks

A complete gang of crooks. Visited Homebase, Stroud, twice in the same afternoon about a week before Christmas. Neither visit lasted more than 20mins. They issued a fine saying I had left my car there for nearly 3hrs. They had CCTV images of my car arriving the first time and leaving the second time but not apparently the first exit and second arrival. Their terrible reviews are entirely justified. FWIW Homebase refused to help. The manager even refused to come to the desk to discuss it. Staff told me they were inundated with complaints about the parking company. I disputed the fine and won as I had proof. The letter waiving the fine didn't even have the grace to say, " sorry for the inconvenience ". The whole business was so unfair as you had to prove you are innocent even though they already have evidence that that is the case. They should be closed down.

I received a parking ticket for parking in a retail park and going over by 12minutes .I wrote to appeal as I have limited movement also with learning difficulties and hold a blud badge which was displayed.the reply was it is a private land and therefore you are not exempt to different rule . I have never dealt with such companies like this before that go on deaf ears to disability .it's all about money ,no sympathy unfortunately and they didn't waste time, gone to bayliffs already . Shocking

G24 are an absolute bunch of thieving…

G24 are an absolute bunch of thieving lying crooks. I parked in Homebase at Tollgate Colchester carpark which is run by G24. There is a time limit of 90mins but it states if you go over this time you can register your car using the QR code in the Homebase store. The store is closing and I was waiting for the staff to remove a piece of ex display and this took me over the 90 mins. I therefore followed the process and logged my car. Next thing I get a PCN stating I went over the 90mins. I appealed saying I logged my car but they just came back and said we cant see your car logged and the PCN stands. I now don't have a leg to stand on, how can I prove I logged my car? So I have no alternative other than to pay as it's my word against theirs. How would I even know about logging a car if I didnt use the process? Extortion, clear and simple! Scum!

"The G24 Unacceptable Customer Service and Parking Fine Process"and IAS process is completely…

"The G24 and IAS process is completely unfair and not user-friendly. We received a parking charge at Edmonton Green Shopping Centre for just a few minutes' delay, and when we tried to appeal, the IAS website was utterly unusable. G24's customer service was no help either. This system is neither transparent nor fair, leaving us extremely disappointed."

G24 parking is ran by a bunch of…

G24 parking is ran by a bunch of crooks! This company has scammed so many people by pretending that they issue fines within the 14 day period and then charge £100 instead of £60. They are a bunch of thieves! The government needs to step in and save the public from rogue businesses like this. I refuse to pay them and I am willing to go to court if necessary to fight this unlawful charges.

Beware if this company

Beware if this company, total crooks. Send us a final warning for a fine that we never had any other correspondence for! I tried to contact them but they ignored any correspondence I sent and they just sent to debt collectors!
Absolute unfair and unjust which will backfire on them one day. A sad way to make money.

Trademan receives parking charge for “exceeding the maximum duration of stay permitted”. Why? Because he went multiple times at Wickes in one day. They contacted directly the bailiffs without any prior letters informing of said penalty/giving evidence of their proofs.

CO-OP store, South Ealing London W5

CO-OP store, South Ealing, London W5
I had parked next to store, but recieved a fine for parking in WICKES car park. Regardless of what I put down in my Appeal suggesting WICKES car park is gated and i was nowhere in there and where i had parked there is no road marks or sign to suggest not to be parking there, they replied saying there is sufficient sign and i was in the car park area.
I will be raising my concerns to Council. I believe 70-80 cars usually park in the same spot for shopping in CO-OP, so why not just put a sign up there.

Fined £100 for shopping at Toolstation…

Fined £100 for shopping at Toolstation when the sign says “For the use of Toolstation customers only”. There’s no time limit given
on their signs anyhow so it’s totally unenforceable and illegal. Oh yeh and besides that I only received a final notice. No previous notices were sent. DO NOT PAY THESE HIGHWAY ROBBERS. It’s not a legal fine any way you look at it, just an unpaid invoice.

B & M car park Preston site - DO NOT PARK HERE -

B & M car park, Ringway,Preston Lancashire.
I parked here just before Christmas when I popped in to have a walk round and get some last bits of Christmas shopping. I'd just had shell shocking news at a medical appointment and was in shock and needed to do something & be distracted. I spent a ling time browsing as I don't have a lot of money and wanted to get the nicest bits I could find with what little I had to spend. This was just before Christmas. Today I got a parking fine for the carpark apparently operated by this company. They're charging me £50 (if I pay in less than 1 week) or £90 if paid later than this with the warning if not paid on time it'll be sent to debt collectors who may add further charges.
I'm a single mum who's just had some terrible news and can barely afford to feed and clothe my children. I have no money to pay this fine and cannot afford to at all. Paying this means I can't afford to buy food in for my kids and can't afford to heat my home. I've emailed to appeal and explained my circumstances and had the most heartless email back demanding I pay the fine. I can't sleep with worry and really don't need this especially now! There are no signs visible in the carpark and no warnings inside or outside the store. I just don't know how I'm going to get through the month and just don't want to be here anymore everything's just such a struggle and this is just tipping me over the edge. I don't even want to go out of the house anymore. Companies like this are robbing the poorest and most vulnerable people. Like life and times aren't hard enough right now! People will end up not going to these stores and turn to shopping online to avoid the risk of being stung like this meaning stores like this will close leaving people out of jobs and more big, empty buildings just sitting empty. I won't be shopping here again that's for sure.

Another set of sly (attempted) robbers !!

Company sent me pictures of driving into a shopping precinct then, when I returned hours later to pick up my son. And they actually tried to allege I had parked there for 5hrs!! When their errors were pointed out, the nonchalant way they answered was laughable. Just another money grabbing parking company who engineer "fines" for profits. BE WARY !!

THIS COMPANY ARE ABOSOLUTELY CORRUPT

THIS COMPANY ARE ABOSOLUTELY CORRUPT. I did not receive the initial letter and then had a final demand drop through the letterbox. paid it as i was scared and then wrote to tell them i had never received the first letter. Never heard back from them. This company need investigating by the financial ombudsman. they are operating illegally and they are completely incompetent and scamming money out of people clearly not complying with anything. Funny how this seems to be happening across the board. Appears no one gets the first letter and just the final demand scamming money

Absolute joke

Absolute joke, firstly they did not send out any information about any parking fine. Then I receive a final demand. I phoned the company to be spoken down to by a woman who has never had any customer service training. I wrote and sent in an appeal to which I have not received any up dates. I have rang their contact number 5 times and nobody picks up. I have received a threatening text message demanding payment. All this could have been sorted if they had the decadency to send me a letter in the first place of a parking infringement. I have put in another appeal no response, emailed them to which the answer was put in an appeal. I have took this to the trade and standards office and now going onto companies house to see if this is a legit company and due to the threats the national fraud line. If they had sent out the correct information in the first place I would have just paid the £60 fine. They cannot be bothered even to call back

Thieves and liars!!

Took my daughter & friends to a play centre in Cardiff during the summer holidays. We put the car reg in the machine as requested and went about our day. The first week of October we had a final warning letter stating we had stayed 13 minutes over the allowed 2 hours. Annoyingly we didn’t know about the time limit and we aren’t disputing the fine. What I’m really annoyed about is that there was no first letter allowing us to pay the reduced fine of £60 and no option to appeal the higher fine of £100. I’ve written to them, sent recorded delivery, no response, emailed them, no response, even found a phone number, the lady in customer services couldn’t care less, since then the phone hasn’t been answered. this company are absolute scum of the earth!! No option but to pay because I do not want debt recovery letters coming to our home, they know this, which is why they’re ripping people off on a daily basis!

Scum

I'm reading the reviews on this company and I see Deceitful, Scam, Scum, Thieves, Dishonest. It paints a pretty picture of them. But the thing is they dont care. With car parking companies there is no money to be made other than through the fines, so they will have a zero tolerance to any genuine sob stories. I personally got fined for spending 135 minutes in Cheetham Hill shopping centre (this car park seems particularly popular on their review page). We had visited about 10 stores, bought in 4 and then went for a meal within the complex. Almost impossible to get out in 120 minutes as was the rule. Getting out of a restaurant within 90 minutes is an achievement in its own right. But what can you do ? nothing at all, other than believe in Karma and hope that something nasty happens to the MD and Board of this company in their personal lives. Sounds childish but it puts a smile on my face when I am paying the £60 rather than feeding my children. Plus I will be rating all the shops individually a mark of 1 for associating themselves with these charlatans. They can take it up with G24 if they like. What surprises me is how they get a rating of 1.2/5. That means that someone hasn't rated them as 1. They must ask their staff and board member to leave reviews to up their average. But as I said before ''they really dont care''

Deceitful company

Deceitful company.
I was charged a parking ticket for staying longer than I should have in a public carpark. I did not realise this had occurred until 6 weeks later when I was sent a 'final notice' letter demanding I pay a £100 fine.
I did not receive any initial letter or correspondence from this company alerting me to the parking fine or requesting the initial fee be paid of £60. If I had received it, I would have been happy to pay the fine promptly since it was my error, but I did not receive any such communication.
I contacted G24 to appeal this and this was declined.
Since I have no way to prove that they did not send any initial correspondence other than my word against theirs, I have no choice but to pay for their incompetence.
