Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 61 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently faced issues with payment systems, including online portals not recognizing references or cards. Many were dissatisfied with high and escalating parking charges, often received without clear initial notification. Reviewers also noted a lack of prominent parking signage, leading to unexpected fines. The appeal process was widely criticized, with rejections and limited human customer service. However, some customers reported fines were still pursued despite providing proof of payment, leading to further escalation. Others felt the company issued fines under unfair circumstances like short overstays or emergencies.

NOT MY FAULT IF MACHINE IS BROKEN !!! No letter been sent!

NOT MY FAULT IF MACHINE IS BROKEN !!!

I recently joined PureGym Cheetham Hill Manchester and I really loved it there because I have been looking for a gym that would have food shops nearby for my family grocery shopping (Lidl).
Sad part of joining this gym is that today I got a parking fine ticket from G24 Ltd for staying there 20mins over the limit advised on the letter (120 mins) EVEN THOUGH I HAVE TRIED ENTERING my car reg into your machine inside the gym (4 hours of free parking)! Since it was broken, I asked staff to advise what do I do in this case and I’ve been told by one of the trainers there that THEY ARE AWARE of the issue and DO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT, NO FINES WILL BE ISSUED! Trusting the employee, after my gym session I went to do my shopping in Lidl. Got proof (receipt from Lidl app) if needed.

The letter tells me that I have missed the deadline for paying the reduced amount (£60), but I have NEVER even received this letter before.
The charge now is £100. WHAT A JOKE!! I’M FUMMING!

This fine should be removed or at least lowered as I trusted the employees of Puregym telling me I will NOT BE CHARGED, otherwise I would have been speeding up and possibly not completing my workout due to stress of getting out of the parking lot asap...

Parking charge notice number: 082925052303
Vehicle registration: GL57 YFU
Parking charge amount: £100.00

2 fines in 7 Seconds? Yeah, right.....

Not only do they issue a fine under false pretences, they issue TWO. Almost exactly the same, but one is 7 seconds later than the other (timestamps on photos)!

They make it impossible to contact them apart from through their appalling website dispute process, then when they realise how ludicrous the two fines are, they simly invalidate one with no explanation or apology!

I'm still fighting the other, and am confident I will win that, too!

As a result of my experience, to avoid any future aggravation, I will never again go into that Wickes (whose parking it was) and will instead use B&Q around the corner - until Wickes drop these chancers G24!

Appalling company.

Appalling company.
Do not make it easy to contact them and resolve a parking fine.
They are not flexible or empathetic when giving you time to pay off a parking fine monthly and demand it over 4 months or less.
They don’t bother to try contact someone through email or through their telephone number and exclusively contact the address on the persons V5C without doing any further research.
They are rude when responding to a query and send through a template email, instead of a company response.
I will be contacting citizens advice after my treatment from this company!

If i can put -10 this would be a positive mark. This company has no time for us as the public, simply a money making machine. Never get hold of any one to speak with and is run my automated robot. Simply the worst company you can deal with. After reluctantly paying my bill in January, with bank statements to prove, they are now pursuing Bailiff actions with further letter saying I haven't paid. this company is a joke. I hope you don't get the experience of dealing with these as you will simply give up with their relentless pursuit for money. Enough said !!!!

Doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Only received the final demand sent after their appeal date closed apparently. No other letters but this final one with frightening threat of debt collectors.

Unfairly issued invoice

Unfairly issued invoice. The appeals process is a disgrace. You cannot ping an e-mail, you have to submit via a portal. Which I did 2 months ago and they haven't responded but they have continued sending threatening letters demanding more money. I have wasted 5 hours on these charlatans. Researching, writing an appeal and raising with local MP. Blood pressure, stress and anxiety caused every time they issue a shoddy Invoice. I will continue to ignore until they accept appeal. Its a disgrace that they operate like this sending menacing correspondence to law abiding citizens. If this goes to court it will be a biblical!

A DISGRACE OF A COMPANY

Impossible to get hold off! sent an appeal as they said we had park for 204 not the 180 allowed but it states that operating hours were between 8.30am-18.00pm the picture of the car clearly show entering car park at 18.23pm so no time limit applied! Also we had other people attend a meal that arrived and left at the same time as us but never received a fine! What a Joke

I received a fine and tried to pay on 27th May. The QR code and internet payment portal were not working, and the telephone payment system does not recognise my contractual charge notice number. The appeals website is also not working. I have tried all this again today (28th May) with the same outcome. Tried to call them, however it's all automated and so I am stuck.

Impossible to contact them

Impossible to contact them, nearly impossible to make an appeal. Only phone number gets you in touch with an robot and no person and also only option you have is to pay. As soon as you choose appeal you are guided to the webpage with no option to get in touch with them. This is unacceptable. Unfortunately I cannot rate 0 or minus so had to rate 1.

What an unprofessional company who lack…

What an unprofessional company who lack any integrity ! This relates to my STOPPING for a total of 29 seconds whilst another car park bay user was reversing out of a Disabled Bay bay i, as a Disabled driver, intended driving in to. 29 SECONDS AND THEY ISSUED ME A PARKING CHARGE VIA THE POST !
This company are just out to dish out parking charges all day long and don't care if they're legally issued or not as they make it SO long winded and complex to appeal against them, no doubt in the hope that most people O please will just either give up and pay it anyway, or will be frightened off by their pathetic and 'borderline illegal' letters they sent as they try and replicate a lawful authority ! Their tickets are just a mere 'civil contract breach' and have NO legal basis !
My advice is to either ignore them or take them on and appeal their 'charges' all the way to adjudication stage !
I did and the Adjudicator agreed with me and allowed my appeal dismissing their unfounded claim and charge !
G24 lack any reasonableness and have VERY questionable integrity !

This incident happened in the Brookfield Park Retail shopping park in cheshunt Hertfordshire, I certainly won't be shopping there again if that's the kind of company they employ to TARGET shoppers !!

Anyone interested in taking your case to court?

Anyone interested in taking this company to court? I am on board. I am going to take them to court myself. For unlaw taking money from law-abiding citizens by falsifying parking tickets.
I hope they can sleep at night. Everybody pray this prayer psalm 35, 91, 23.

They gave me a parking ticket for waiting for a parking space for less than 27 seconds NOT EVEN A minute on the road. Was waiting for the delivery vehicle to move less than 27 SECONDS. This is not lawful. Email me if you want to join or leave a message in the reply box and I will start the petition.

There should be a grace period of 10 minutes according to the government website, a parking ticket cannot be issued if you are waiting to park your vehicle for only 27 seconds, as most jurisdictions recognize a "grace period" where a short wait to find a parking spot is not considered a parking violation; 27 seconds would fall well within this reasonable timeframe.

G24 are crooks

This company are utter con artists. I received a final notice without having any other letters to say there was a parking fine. Straight away there was no £60 fine it was straight to £100 and no way to appeal on line. They said I’d have to appeal in writing !!! Clearly to put people off appealing. My disabled wife parked in a disabled bay for 15 mins. I tried to plead her case on the phone and they simply weren’t interested and refused to help. These people should be locked up as they’re crooks plain and simple.

Absolute crooks!

Should have an option to give 0 stars! This company is a bunch of crooks, they took a photo of my car as I was driving past and claimed I had illegally parked, they then deliberately sent the fine to the wrong address so I couldn't appeal and sent the fine onto debt collectors. Absolute crooks, don't even drive anywhere near their parking facilities!

If i could give no stars i would received a notice today from a 6 years old issue for parking where i attended a gym on a day pass i was legitimately there and argued the case i put a complaint in with no response
Not heard from them since.
I also got hit by the same company i stayed 15 minutes in a car park in Manchester on the retail park which i revisited later they were installing cameras for a Lidl that had not been built same outcome complained heard nothing back.
If a company does not acknowledge or respond to a complaint it is in breach of its licensing.
