Sold a car to them through Carwow which wasn’t a very pleasant experience. Kyle the owner was easy enough to communicate with it was the person who came out to assess my vehicle. After turning up 1.5 hrs late without apology he started to view my vehicle. After moving my car from the view of my security cameras he continued to assess which was another hour for him to then thrust his phone in my face a say “sign this”. I told him I’m not signing anything as I don’t know what I’m signing for. He said your car is covered in scratches , It’s been in a crash and has evidence of overspray on the bonnet. I said you show me these areas which he became very bolshy and said you have a bolt loose on your wheel arch liner so it been in a crash (no it had been in the garage the same week to have its high voltage heater replaced.) overspray on the bonnet (I rubbed this off with my hand as it was polish that hadn’t been buffed out properly) as for other scratches they easily rubbed off as the car was mucky. Yes there were some scratches on the vehicle but these hadn’t broken the paint so could easily have been buffed out by a suitably qualified detailer. I told him he was free to leave as I wouldn’t be dealing with someone so incompetent. Upon moving my car back to my drive I noticed there were scratches on my vehicle that weren’t there prior to said person reviewing the car.

Hi Craig, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are genuinely sorry to hear how this visit felt for you.

We aim to provide a professional, respectful service at every stage, and what you have described, particularly around punctuality, communication, and how the assessment was handled, is not the standard we expect from our team or partners.

We take concerns like this seriously and would like to investigate properly. If you are willing, please contact us directly with the date of the appointment and the best contact number or email, so Kyle can review the details with you and look into what happened.

Thank you again for raising this. We appreciate the opportunity to address it and improve.

Kind regards,
Freewheel Autos

Used car purchase

I purchase a used car from Freewheel in June 2025. I had an issue with the vehicle, which was not covered by the Warranty and Kyle could not have been more helpful in resolving this for me. Thank you
