I took a bus from Ancona in the middle…

I took a bus from Ancona in the middle of nowhere then we wait in Milan in a very poor location. Then we went to Marseille and we got a spare driver with a completely unacceptable behaviour. He was talking in the middle of the night like if he was alone then started a dispute with a customer shouting and being violent!!! This driver 50 years old , bald with glasses didn’t care at all about the customers. Very bad experience.

Left on the motorway with no assistance for 3 min late during the 10 min break

God willing no more flixbus ever. If I could give 0 stars I would with pleasure. Both workers and procedures are just shameful. I’ve been left in the middle of the motorway in a petrol station just because I was 3 minutes “late” for going to the restroom and taking a coffee, the driver was told I was missing by other passengers and didn’t care and left. Luckily a complete stranger gave me a lift until the pay toll and Italian police stopped the bus as they were called by the rescue people. THE WORSE PART phone customer service, they basically said they were sorry but they couldn’t do anything, not calling the driver nor tell him to stop so basically they implied he was right to leave me down in the middle of nowhere! I had my luggage and personal belongings on the bus and they suggested “contact the lost and found”. THANKS GOD everything ended up good (the driver was even angry when I got on the bus) but I’ve never seen such a careless and tactless company, a real shame

I usually feel sick when I travel by…

I usually feel sick when I travel by bus, but this time I didn’t, so it means that I was confortable and that the driver was delicate. Also the price was good and we arrived perfectly on time at Rome.

Left behind after a stop

Terrible experience with FlixBus. The driver saw me running in front of the bus but still left me behind, with all my belongings, including passport, luggage, and wallet, still inside the bus. The lack of responsibility and basic respect for passengers is shocking. I will never use FlixBus again and strongly advise others to think twice before trusting them with something as important as their safety and personal belongings.

Don't travel with Flixbus
Don't travel with Flixbus. No one expects excellent service given the price, but your rights will be trampled underfoot and ignored. My suitcase was stolen on a trip from Venice to Innsbruck and they washed their hands of it. Completely incompetent drivers who don't even know they're in the world, don't even look at those who approach the bus to pick up their bags during the stops. I found myself in a foreign country without all my belongings to live on and had to buy everything back out of my own pocket. Of course, I wrote to the assistance several times and made complaints, but the only answers I got were to wait and that they could not do anything about it. Only after giving the evidence that I made a report to the police did I manage to get a response, but even here they tried to mislead in every way possible. Waiting for AT LEAST A WEEK to get answers and eventually try to liquidate you with just €120 in reimbursement that of course barely makes up the money from the empty suitcase. They don't care and pretend that they have no obligations to passengers. Don't trust them, just a waste of time and money to not even be guaranteed that my luggage will arrive at its destination with me or that I will get at least a fair refund to cover my loss and the resulting expenses. Disgraceful and arrogant customer service. Really embarrassing behavior from such a big company.

Unreliable service, and you risk getting stranded at the station.

Hi

My ticket included two separate journeys. I got off in Bologna at 5:30 a.m. and waited for the 7:00 a.m. bus to Florence, but it NEVER RAN. None of the buses at the station were my line, N1524.

I asked every FlixBus driver for buses leaving Bologna. I was at the station since 5:30 a.m. and saw all the buses depart, but not a single driver going to Florence had my ticket number, and the bus number didn't match the one on my ticket. I tried to have every driver scan my QR code, but they all told me my ticket was not on their bus!

As a result, I had to wait for hours in Bologna and buy a new ticket to get back to Florence. I was not refunded for the ticket I didn't use, nor were the taxes.

It was a terrible experience. I do not believe I will buy another ticket with FlixBus because you are not reliable.

Flixbus takes no responsibility for mistakes or lack of foresight

Travelled Turin to Chambery on a return ticket with an assembled bike on 1st Aug. Return was scheduled 3rd Aug at 22:10, I used Flixbus because there are no trains or other buses that cross the border and allow an assembled bike. At 21:10 I receive a "rescheduled" trip from Chambery to Turin at 14:10 on 4th Aug, 16 hours later.

T&Cs state that for cancellations, Flixbus will reimburse a hotel and food in the meantime, so all good with me; makes sense as Flixbus shouldn't expect me to stay overnight at the bus station and not sleep or eat. If I slept, my bike would be stolen when I wake up again.

I find a hotel, ask for breakfast and eventually come back to Turin. I ask for reimbursement on customer service, but each time they apologise for the "expenses that you incurred", i.e. the hotel, and try not to acknowledge it or the fact that they cancelled the booking on 03/08.

Having been ghosted by the customer service team in email, who still haven't clearly explained why the T&Cs don't apply in this case, and not getting anywhere on the phone, I am now 120 EUR out of pocket. Effectively, Flixbus can cancel at any time and give you an alternative late the next day, and avoid any responsibility for the costs incurred overnight. Absolutely appalling...

In addition, I've used Flixbus six times over the past year (three return trips), going to and from Turin with an assembled bike. Of those six journeys, despite booking the assembled bike ticket well in advance (months!), the bus never arrived with a bike rack. Fine if I'm allowed to put the bike in the hold, but two of these times times I had to argue with the driver to let me put the bike on! This is despite me writing a complaint in the past regarding this. The last of these six times is the bus not arriving, as above, and me having to pay for their mistakes. It's clear that Flixbus do not consider feedback no matter what, so I write this as a warning for prospective travellers.

I got FlixBus last night (26/08/2025) from Venice airport to Rimini. Positive: very comfortable and cleaned bus. Safe trip. It met my needs. Negative: FlixBus stop is not clear, not specified all over the parking of Venice airport

It was great

It was great. The bus was in time, the inside spaces clean and comfortable and the drives so kind. It stopped for a break for 15 minutes and we arrived in time.

Terrible experience with an unstable driver

Flixbus Rome Termini-Milan Lampugnano 19/08 departure at 10.10 am. The driver/baggage handler, a big grey-haired man, won't let me carry my hand luggage backpack, which was within the dimensions of the confirmation, 42x30x18. He started shouting like a madman, in an extremely rude manner, making a scene in front of the concerned people.

I decided not to take the bus, because the knowledge of travelling with such an aggressive and unstable person at the wheel does not fit into my ideas of what a journey should be, and I needed my hand luggage with me. Moreover, it does not seem normal to me that someone would allow himself to behave like that with a customer.

Flixbus choose your drivers better so as to avoid losing customers and putting people who could be dangerous behind the wheel. Also, make sure that the drivers know the luggages' size limit you indicate in the confirmation to prevent these situations.

Stolen bag

I traveled from Firenze Villa Costanza to Trieste on 12 August 2025. Upon arrival in Trieste, I found that my checked luggage was stolen. A fellow passenger and her father witnessed a man removing it during a stop. I filed a police report. The Total estimated value: €900.
I’ve tried submitting this through the lost item form 6 times on Flixbus website, but it failed each time. If I try to submit other subjects it works, I guess they have a filter.

Rude driver almost makes me lose my bus

Very disappointed with the service. I bought my ticket from Peschiera to Venize Mestre 3 weeks in advance. The ticket was for 9.25. My partner and I arrived earlier (9.10) and showed our ticket to the driver, who opened the luggage door and we dropped our backpacks. We went for a coffee and when we were going in, noticed that the door was closed and the driver was going to start driving. I knocked heavily at the door for him to open and he just signed a NO. I shouted that the ticket is at 9.25, so he decided to open and told me it is at 9.15. He didn't apologise and just pointed at the back door for us to go in. Absolutely disappointed and if I would know the name of the driver, I would definitely put a massive complaint about his lack of manners and how disrespectful I feel he had been towards me.
