I was excited to receive my first…

I was excited to receive my first esalon hair colour. Very impressed with the packaging and it felt like I was receiving a gift.
Top marks for that.
I coloured my hair this evening and these are my likes and dislikes

My likes.
2 bottles for the price of one.
Clear instructions
Peroxide and colours mixed well
Good amount for my shoulder length hair
It didnt smell at all.
Went on easily and good consistency.
Proper gloves.
Nice shiny hair

My dislikes

The nozzle on the bottles were very thin
The instructions though clear was not appropriate to my hair colours.
Colour looked nice and deep on my hair during processing
Result after shampooing and drying looked washed out
Didn't cover my roots at all. I had to use a root spray to cover up the light orange roots!

I was given two bottles of colour and peroxide. One was for my roots, the other lighter one for my lengths.
I carefully did the roots and after 15 minutes put the lighter colour through the lengths.
When the developing time is up, you have an instruction "don't miss this step out" the step was to add water to the bottle of left over dye if no dye left and tip it all over your head and massage in for three minutes. Considering I had spent ages separating my two colours how on earth was I meant to carry out step three that was so important, without ruining my two hair shades?
I was not impressed. Because it was obviously an important step, I thought to hell with it and massaged both colours together.
It came out just one colour in the end as expected.
The colour is so light, considering I used the darker shade to do the important step. I think a couple of washes and it will be too light.

I bought this product on offer so paid half price. It's no different ftom a cheap box dye. Actually they give better results and are much cheaper.
I've been dying my own hair for over 40 years. I always get asked if I'm a colourist.
I've bought professional hair colours from Sally's, I've used box dyes from drug stores. Out of all of them, this was the least impressive.

I loved the box of goodies, nice ideas and well presented, but at the end of the day, you need the product to deliver and sadly for me, it didn't. A nice experience though.

The product is good and I like the…

The product is good and I like the colour but I asked for the permanent colour and was sent the Demi permanent colour - which I will need to recolour sooner - and the product was for roots rather than full head - but I need full head because I have only had Demi permanent so it wears off the full head rather than just having roots growing through?

Really fantastic service

Really fantastic service, my first order I didn't get the colour I desired, really didn't get on with it. Messaged the colourist saying what I'd prefer and they made me up a new one for free. I'm on my 3rd shipment now and absolutely love it!
Service is fantastic, and they're really knowledgeable. Also the colour lasts really well!

esalon is very attentive to any changes…

esalon is very attentive to any changes you requested in your colour or condition which is great. They also encourage you to send photographs so they can visually assess the colour and condition of your hair. I colour my own hair as I don’t like sitting in a hair salon for hours. The instructions are very precise and easy to follow. I highly recommend this company.

Fantastic Affordable Hair Colour

I have been using Esalon for the longest time and it is absolutely fabulous. All of my friends pay extortionate prices for their hair colour and yet they always comment on my hair how beautiful my colour is. I cannot say how great Esalon are.
