Recently hired a van from Enterprise…
Recently hired a van from Enterprise for my daughters house move , excellent vehicle to drive, ease of collection and returning, staff were very friendly and helpful, there my go to car and van rental company that never let me down, extreme value for your money. Nick
Never had a problem with the Gravesend Branch
Never had a problem with the Gravesend branch of Enterprise. I've just returned a brand new Renault Captur; couldn't have been any simpler. The car was clean and drove really well. The return was handled by Parv with great efficiency and polite converstaion. Highly recommended. AAA+++
Enterprise Monmouth & Scarborough
Having had my own vehicle broken down, the RAC organised two rental cars for me to use. The first was from Monmouth and the second from Scarborough. From start to finish the customer service at both branches was great and very professional. The cars were excellent and the staff very understanding of my situation. A great service all round.
Phoebe Bardua @ Southend branch
Phoebe Bardua in the Southend branch was so helpful from start to finish. There was some confusion at the start with what branch covered what area for collections and drop offs via the booking service on the phone. Once we found out who we needed to arrange this with, the whole process was easy from start to finish. Thanks for making a very stressful time a bit easier with not having to worry with the hire van.
They're are a bunch of charlatans!!
They're are a bunch of charlatans!!! Booked a car online no problem and paid the full amount requested there and then.
2 days later they emailed me to complete an online check in and required I pay another £200.
This didn't work for me so I cancelled the booking.
Enterprise then deduct a £40 cancellation fee.
When questioned as to why they didn't request the £200 when booking the car they just tell you it's tough luck. "read the small print T&C's you dummy"
Enterprise car rentals poor customer service
First of all, I gave this company a 1 is that there is no option lower than a 1. My wife booked a car for the 2023 August Bank holiday I attempted to contact the company a few times before the pickup day but no reply. The day before I was due to collect the vehicle I did manage to get through but when I said I needed to sort out the booking the block in the office told me I could sort it out when collecting the car. So, the next day when my wife and I attended to collect the car and after we had completed the booking I went to pay the cost of the vehicle and its deposit (which was £500 by the way) that was when things changed. I was told that a credit card was required. I questioned this as the terms of conditions stated "All cards welcome". Then the female assistant scrolled down to about halfway through the terms and that was where the requirement for a credit card was outlined because my wife had asked for a BMW automatic.
This left us in a predicament as we were due to leave in a few hours for our get-a-way. Enterprise offered us a manual Corsa. We declined but had to see if we could get a car at the last moment. I contacted several companies and eventually found one, Sixt, fantastic, as we got an Audi Q3 which had just arrived, wrappers were still on it, automatic, large book, etc. It was at Manchester Piccadilly, so we managed to travel over from home in time so we were on time for our holiday. Our Mastercard and Visa cards were acceptable, with no requirement to be a credit card. We also got a bigger car for less than Enterprise were charging, never again Enteprise.
Great service…
Ally provided amazing service both during booking and when I picked the car up. Good, clean car too.
Don't trust them
When our motorhome broke down our breakdown provider arranged a hire car from enterprise. Being a bank holiday the motorhome had to be recovered rather than taken to a garage, when we were told out hire car was on the way we took a few belongings out and let it be trailered away My husband who is quite disabled had to sit in the cold on a wall waiting for a car that didn't arrive the excuse was it was booked for the next day, they then told us another car was on the way and would be with us soon another lie, all in all we sat from 7 pm with our belongings at the side of the road until 11 50 in this time we were assured 3 times a car was on the way , on phoning the breakdown provider again they arranged a taxi home for us because of the way enterprise treated us. I would never recommend or use this company, not only did the lie to us they about cars being on the was they caused stress and distress to us both, they knew my husband was disabled and still left him sat for hours on a wall miles from home. If I could give no stars I would
Credit card fraud and terrible customer service
Our experience with Alamo and Enterprise at Sydney airport was a total disaster. Firstly, the company fraudulently took $5000 from our credit card for damage that was pre existing. We were not even contacted to be told the unauthorised transaction had happened (which breaches Australian Consumer Law and they industry standard set by AFIA), I only knew when my card was declined when I tried to use it to pay for groceries. They eventually returned the money after I sent them pictures taken at the time of pickup. The company also never told us that we could not drop the car back at the airport as the rental car area was closed, nor where to drop the car off too. They would not answer any calls as my wife and I and two young children frantically drove to find somewhere to leave the car for more than an hour. In the end I had to drive it to the international airport and get taxi back whilst I left my wife with a newborn and a toddler on the side of the road with 2 trolleys full of gear. I am currently in the process of reporting them to the Australian Office of Fair Trading for credit card fraud and AFIA after the company refused any sort of compensation
Enterprise rental cars
When we had problems with our new car, they have an arrangement with enterprise to replace cars we were told it would be about 2 hrs to arrive. After over 10 hrs and lots of phone calls it finally arrived. It was dirty and smelt of cigarettes and body odor. The smell was overpowering and windows open did not help. They apologized and said they would arrange a new car in 2 days. After more calls we were told to go to Cheltenham and gave address. We arrived , no suitable car there. Made calls and then sent us to another branch where they promised a car would be available. Got there, no car, at that point we gave up and went to Cotswold BMW who sorted us out. Some time later Daryl from Gloucester rang to apologize and offer a meal voucher and could I not fill in the forms about the service. Like the cars no voucher appeared. Now he will not even answer my calls, making a terrible situation worse. Why BNW are linked to them I fail to understand.
Expensive excess.....
Had to book car through enterprise to have warranty work carried out on my own car by Ford.
Staff were efficient and friendly after i told them i wasn't prepared to be shoe horned into a Fiesta or Citroen pretty much got a like for like car.
Only problem was when i got there after already dropping my own car off at the Ford Dealer, i was told the damage excess was £1500 per item of damage if any was to occur... When i questioned this i was pretty much told if i didn't want to accept this then i probably wouldn't be able to take the car.....
Bit steep excess for what it is...
Enterprise Epsom Are Customer Focused
Enterprise Epsom are customer focused, polite, friendly and welcoming. Hired a 3.5T van on 18/08/23. Was greeted politely and dealt with quickly and efficiently by Adis. Returned vehicle on 19/08/23 and again received excellent customer service from Gunaa. I have used Enterprise Epsom on many occasions and will continue to recommend them, mostly because they are so welcoming and provide excellent service.
Financial details request
I recently had a courtesy car through Enterprise and was going to give them a great review, until I received a call from them about the hire.
My car was damaged while parked and due to the delays in the repair company dealing with it, I had a rental for nearly 2 months. I was asked by the Enterprise rep, if I was prepared to share my financial details with a third party, to which I replied NO. I asked what his had o do with my rental and why were they asking all these personal questions, as my insurance company arranged for the rental car Their response was that the rental car has cost £7500.00 to the third parties insurance, who wanted my financial details to see if I could pay for the renal myself. I was stunned and again asked why Enterprise was asking me these questions. Their response was that the ask all customers these questions. So even if you pay extra for a courtesy car, the insurance companies are trying to get you to pay for it. How much lower can rip off Britain go.

Unacceptable and appalling customer…
Unacceptable and appalling customer service at St. Albans branch. How can I book a vehicle only to arrive and be told the there is no car on site. Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!
Appalling and disgraceful service
The company I work for booked a car for delivery at 10.00 this morning (Sunday) At 10.30 I phoned to check where it was, I was told that they had attempted to phone me yesterday but were unable to get me so they cancelled my order. I was promised a call back between 11.00-12.00. It never happened. I told them that I would not be contactable most of the day, I was told that I would then receive a call by 1.00. Yet again this never happened. Throughout the afternoon I tried to call the out of hours line but staff were either unable or unwilling to help. The Burton on Trent office did try twice while I was on hold to the out of hours number. All conversations I have had and e mails I have sent stated that I will not be easily contactable today and that I just need a car on my drive by 9.00 tomorrow morning. Burton office have since left me a message asking me if I can phone them first thing Monday morning, so clearly my messages of get me a car by 9.00 tomorrow morning have been totally ignored. 6 hours after my first conversation I spoke to the same person who dealt with my call first thing (and never appeared to act on it) I reiterated my plea of please just get me a car by 9.00 Monday morning. She has told me that she will try and get a car to me tonight🤣🤣🤣. I wait with baited breath. You have only got one star as the facility to leave 0 stars is not available. At 17.45 tonight my local branch did manage to get hold of me to resolve
50/50
A bit hit and miss at the sussex branch. I kept being given cars with problems and had to keep going back to change them! Upon explaining the issue they think you're lying and laugh it off. A couple of staff members are rude, unhelpful and blunt. Others however are lovely and willing to help. Also the cars they give are never clean. I give them back cleaner!
Computer says no
Took my booking on line. Took my money on line. Checked me in on line. Went to the rental destination (1 hour journey) and they wouldn't rent me the car because they said their computer system wouldn't pass my address test. It's my address, I pay bills there. There is no reason for this to fail. They cannot tell me why it has failed. Nice enough staff but a stinker of a system that just says 'computer says no'. A massive waste of time and money.
2 months not enough notice
We planned a holiday in France with friends and family. We needed more than 5 seats. On 1 May I booked a Peugeot 7 seater. I telephoned the Bordeaux depot on 7 July to check the easiest way to get there - no offer to collect from hotel despite what it says on booking. On arrival at the depot on 8 July, we were told no 7 seater was available. They were looking for one (!), but could not say if one could be found that day. By chance, a five seat wagon (Volvo XC60) was returned as we waited. In desperation (friends waiting on street with luggage) we took this. It was cramped and when more family joined as at holiday rental, some had to miss once in a lifetime excursions.
