Rented a van from them and on returning…

Rented a van from them and on returning there was a small crack to the side repeater in the wing mirror (I didn’t cause this). Interestingly the plastic was full of water, and since it hasn’t rained a drop where I have been this only backs up my case… but no! Apparently it’s rained in Torquay every day for the last 9 days (incorrect) and this is irrelevant as I was in the south east! I was also informed that when I collected it that I should have taken detailed photos of every side of the vehicle, something they negated to tell me when collecting. They liked to use the word “transparent” in how they operate at Enterprise Torquay, but they’re as transparent as a brick wall. Avoid please.

Bad customer service sunderland branch

What went wrong, you hire a car and everything goes per hour and they have nothing ready, so on sunderland they said 30 mins wait…. I said I can not say to my boss I’m even later, so.
What happened I was agitated and said I was standing as a dickhe@d waiting for acknowledgment, I got kicked out coz I was swearing. Sunderland branch avoid it on Monday morning, they were more interested in them selves than a customer who wants to go to work! Sorry for swearing but anyone will do with their customers service. I did not swear at them but at my self, useless incompetent young lot who only care about paycheck. No pride in helping, joke. Can say lot more nasty stuff but be warned! Go around corner and you professionally trained people and standards EUROPCAR, don’t be fooled by their cheap rates either, two clicks later there’s more money on top( cookie scammers)

What happened to you Enterprise you…

What happened to you Enterprise you used to be so good.

I worked there as an assistant manager 25 yrs ago we would go above and beyond to help our customers including writing off entire rental charges and giving them a lift where they had to go.

We dealt with replacement cars continuously and made it as seamless as possible for the customer whilst ensuring the other businesses involved were kept up to date (insurance co, garage etc).

Fast forward to last weekend our car was bumped into in march and was finally getting fixed we were given a replacement car by enterprise. We had a Volvo xc60 and were given a Renault kadgar not really equivalent but hey ho.

Updates are done by a third party FMG (sporadic, best phone the garage yourself) .

Anyway I digress my fiancée was in the car in Greenock with two kids and a dog at 9pm when the car had an electrical fault. She contacted enterprise they stated they couldn’t help as the car was under warranty and Renault would assist.

Point 1 this is where I get angry it is enterprises responsibility as they are the ones who gave us the car not Renault they should have helped and didn’t they said they couldn’t.

Rac were terrible they sent loads of texts but didn’t send a breakdown truck until 12hrs later.

Point 2 Enterprise buys and sells a huge amount of cars (it’s how they make so much cash they’d make more money if they parked them in a field for a year) they have deals with a vast amount of garages car transportation companies and many breakdown companies they easily could have rectified the issue they didn’t

The next day Maryann went to work as a nurse with 1.5 hrs sleep for her 12 hr shift.

She ended up leaving the car there secure and locked and the key left with a responsible person. (We aren’t stupid Jamie Enterprie Ayr branch)

I phoned the Ayr branch informed Jamie what happened he never asked after us just informed us we broke the rules of the contract by leaving the car there. So she should have stayed there 12 hrs 😂 the response from this kid was laughable.

What should happen is they give us another car Jamie didn’t have any he knew we’d Need another one as I phoned at 9 and they shut at 12. Enterprise move cars continuously from branch to branch he should have got one from Kilmarnock or paisley or Glasgow all easily done. He didn’t. The lady who phoned from paisley was decent and reserved a car but couldn’t deliver it or pick us up.

We’d both had very little sleep and worked 12 hrs and were back up the next morning 6.30 am for 12 more so left it.

Our car was due back Monday morning anyway and I couldn’t talk to Jamie again ever!!

Phoned ingrams Monday (awesome garage staff are brilliant please can they run hire cars) car not ready until Wednesday. We are away on holiday and need a car to get to the airport returning Sunday late no way of getting public transportation to our house at that time.

I had to talk to Jamie (here we fecking go) he still didn’t have a car😂😂 he informed us if we left the rental at the airport and it was there after our car was returned (3 days difference) we could be charged the entire hire costs (3 weeks at £40 a day)

Point 3 this quite frankly ridiculous if someone smashes into your car and you get a rental you don’t have to cancel your holiday!!!!!! Jamie was no help whatsoever didn’t want to phone the insurance company to ask the to extend the hire even though they’d let us down badly and were paid two days rental for a car we didn’t have.

I phone the insurance company talked to Cindy they decide to cover the cost of a taxi to and from the airport £430!!! They were great, phoned Ingrams they said they’d drop our car back at the house and pop the keys through the letterbox. Brilliant

I haven’t bothered to talk to enterprise if you are getting a hire car use another company if involved in an accident request a different company any other.

I’m a little sad to be honest I was proud to work there but now it’s gone corporate crap

Great service!

Good communication, polite and helpful team at the Bitterne, Southampton branch. I had a vehicle for almost 6 weeks following an accident and they kept a good line of communication up, as well as the pick up and drop home service. Thank you!

Car rental advice for Australians renting cars in the UK

After my previous post on our attempt to pick up our prepaid rental car from Newbury Enterprise car rental branch.
I called another branch to confirm that Enterprise would not take a debit card for a security deposit from overseas cards, but will if you live in the UK. They are going to refund our money buy would not rent us a car. Our next call was to Europe Car and they were very friendly and helpful. Less than an hour later the lovely staff at Swindon Europe Car had us underwater. This 1 star does not in any way apply to them. Only to Enterprise for not being able to help us get into a car.

I’ve alway rented from enterprise

I’ve alway rented from enterprise. But the one at the Tampa international airport in Florida needs help. These people wouldn’t help me when I was there but I ran at the car. I kept it for a month and extended it on week three they started calling texting emailing me it got to the point that it was harassment then the manager would call and tell me that I wasn’t supposed to have it extend it when their policy specifically states I can rent it for up to 30 days, they got so bad that I had to block the managers number and deal directly with corporate. I found three complaints on this lady and to this day I have yet to hear anything back from enterprise and I’m telling you when I say harassment I mean, harassment at all hours of the day and night the people would call me text me threaten to turn it in as a failure to return, and even did so after I extended it, and had confirmation I do not ever recommend going to this place. If I were you, I would try the new company this out there doing the best they can and that one is. “Sixt”
Better rates, better customer service and you’re not harassed. I will tell you if the lady worked for me they kept calling me and threatening me and texting me. I would fire her I mean she literally called me a liar, so screw you in a price you’ve lost one customer I’m sure you’ll lose more as long as you keep that lady working for you and don’t do something about the work force at Tampa international airport.

These people are thieves.

These people are thieves.
I tried to hire a car, put all details on website and got confirmation email, walked across town, only to be
told they could not validate/verify my card so would
not let me take the car.
Later found they had taken the money from my card
anyway and they are now just fobbing me off when i
ask for a refund.
Crooks.

Helpful and Efficient

I recently hired a car at Inverness Airport from Enterprise. The process was made easy by Phil who explained everything in a friendly and professional manner. I will almost certainly use this Company again and I have no hesitation in recommending Enterprise to others.

Would give 0 if I could.

Would give 0 if I could.

They gave a a car that kept cutting out. Took them over a week to get back to me (meanwhile having no choice but to drive their death trap), only for them to tell me they didn't have a replacement for me still. After, regretfully, raising my voice, they suddenly had a new car for me the next day?!?
Never answer the ohone at the Sheffield, Handsworth depot. If you have a choice, stay away from them!!

Disappointing Experience with Enterprise's Courtesy Car Service

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Enterprise's courtesy car service, a service that was arranged through my insurance provider while my car was being repaired. The level of service provided by Enterprise was far below what I expected, and I feel it is important to share my experience for the benefit of potential customers.

On the 2nd of June 2023, I was scheduled to be picked up by Enterprise to collect the courtesy car. However, they arrived late, dangerously close to their closing time. I was not adequately informed about the terms and conditions of the courtesy car service, leading to confusion and misunderstandings regarding insurance arrangements. I found myself facing a policy excess of £600 or the need to pay extra for excess protection, none of which had been communicated to me beforehand.

Furthermore, I was informed that the provided car would need to be returned and swapped the following week, adding to the inconvenience. I tried to negotiate these terms, but to no avail. Ultimately, due to my dissatisfaction, I decided not to take the vehicle.

The lack of customer service did not stop there. After I declined the vehicle due to the unfavorable terms, Enterprise refused to offer a ride home, leaving me stranded and forcing me to incur extra costs for a taxi.

This experience has left me feeling deeply disappointed with Enterprise. As a customer, it is vital to receive clear and accurate information about services, including detailed arrangements regarding insurance and terms of use.

Based on my experience, I would advise potential customers to exercise caution when dealing with Enterprise's courtesy car service. Make sure to ask for comprehensive details about the service terms and insurance arrangements to avoid unexpected charges and inconveniences.

My hell courtesy car at Enterprise car rental 👎

They offered me courtesy car which was not worthy to drive as it was displaying “change oil now” on the dashboard and ”locking by itself while you are in the car” when I returned they said there was no other car, shocking!

After one week, no communication.

Poor communication, no reply to my emails

I contacted thru Twitter, still no action only we will escalate, to who? No one knows.

I won’t recommend anyone Enterprise Car Rental,St John’s Wood branch.

Book Online at Your Own Risk

Take the money 1st check availability later - the van was reserved and the morning of told no availability anywhere - serious mess around and now wait for a refund - it kind of borders on fraudulent misrepresentation - seems to be common practice, especially over a weekend - just another corporate that works on a numbers game and gets away with it - you live and learn

Just don't go there!

Don't rent a car from enterprise. You will be putting your life at risk. Car needed new tires and an alignment, it was always notably pulling left. Breaks needed servicing.
I called to report the issue but they don’t care. No call from the manager, no change of vehicle.
Very disappointed with this rental car company

Very aggressive and unprofessional…

Very aggressive and unprofessional representative at Slough Bath Road branch, the worst self acclaimed branch manager who
could not even express himself correctly grammatically, he threatened to report our courtesy car to the police as stolen vehicle if not returned immediately, despite knowing that the vehicle was far away in London, I doubt if he is proficient enough to operate enterprise tracker!
This aggressive approach was simply because Insurance courtesy car just needed renewal, a simple approach would have been to contact the insurer and renew or bill our debit card for any excess, but he seemed inexperienced, frustrated and aggressive, calling and sending threatening harassing text messages, and within few hours, despite being able to track vehicle, he chose to withdraw a different vehicle issued to another individual by sending a mob of five men to intimidate and bullied a poor single parent into submission and forcibly removed the only vehicle allocated as courtesy by her insurance company. This woman was immobile for the whole weekend unable to care of one of her three children with severe health issues,

This may now be reported to the police as a criminal harassment and misogynistic offences.

This is branch is a no go area, definitely not a company I will recommend to anyone, especially with this rotten uneducated unprofessional manager. His verbal vulgarities was caught on tape and may be published shortly if the matter is not investigated by his senior directors!

Our complaint may have fallen into deaf ears, legal redress would inevitably by our last resort!

Such poor service !

Such poor service !! Don’t hire from here, spend the money and go to a better company!! We had to wait over and hour and a half in line (there were only three people in line in front of us), the car we booked was not available ( they gave us a larger car but we hired a smaller car to save on fuel!!) and the car was faulty!! Emails and responses had to be chased up constantly!!

Left High and Dry at Christchurch Airport

Arrived in Christchurch as Enterprise Plus member. Went to desk to collect car for 11 day break having booked 2 months earlier. Was told after an hour couldn’t take the car as I don’t possess a Credit Card for the deposit. All other rental car agencies in the airport accept debit cards but had no cars!! Spoke to manager but no joy. It’s company policy. Absolutely disgusting all about the rules told I should have looked at the small print before I booked!!! Enterprise Plus member never had problems before. Will be cancelling my membership and will never use this company or recommend it to friends family colleagues ever again
