I got DSL because I was referred by all my friends and honestly it’s so bad. My wifi literally goes out every ten minutes. I wish I was lying. I can’t watch any video longer than ten minutes because there’s buffering far too much. I wish I could say I was satisfied but for a price of roughly $45 it’s not worth it at all.

Past 6 years I was busy to work, but my network connection in my home was so poor. Lots Time because their system was off because their internal updated; my home phone and internet all need this internet connection, but they on and off so often to interrupt my wife to use.
Now 15mpbs charge me $68.00; I surely want to get off their service.
Lots of time DSL extream was unable to provide service; I called them to find what was reason. Their tech supports told me because I had old modern so their system could not communicate with it.
I wait for 10 day with out service; ATT technician showed up after 11 past, he replace the ATT modern.
DSL extream takes my contract for a years; locked me into DSL extream service for a year only 6 Mbps on $47.99.
I called to negotiate the service; they were really did not care.
Lots of phone call to DSL extream, their customers service were told me different stories of their problems in their system.
For me lots of time is no internet to use at home.
This company is a scam
This company is a scam. I signed a year contract with them, found out I was paying $60 a month for slow 18 mbps when I could pay the same amount for 1000 mbps elsewhere. When I called to cancel a month before my contract was up they told me it takes 30 days to shut it off, so I told them it was fine. They said I couldn’t cancel over the phone and that they would send a link that I had to click on. The link they sent didn’t work so I called them back and they sent another. They sent me dead links on purpose so to make it hard for me to cancel. I wrote them an email to cancel so they responded 30 days later saying they would shut it off 2 months after my contract was up. Thank goodness my card had expired the same time my contract was up, when they couldn’t run my card they shut it off 2 days afterwards. Funny how that works, but this just shows they are scammers trying to get your money. Beware and explore your options elsewhere!
BEWARE this greedy company
BEWARE. I had been their customer for years, servicing a small number of dialup customers. They were great until June 2020 - we were being charged $0 because we had no dialup customers. Then, starting in June, they bumped their minimum charge to $250, even though I had NO CUSTOMERS. No notice, no communication, and 100% unwilling to compromise. It's on me that I didn't check my credit card statement for 6 months, but still -- completely unwilling to compromise or make this right. Again, billing went from $0 to $250 overnight with NO NOTICE. I won't do business with this greedy company in the future and caution anyone reading this review to think again.
Lackluster security and support resources--BEWARE
I've been a DSL Extreme customer since 2009 and things were mostly okay. Recently though, my dslextreme.com email was hacked and I had been getting blasted with literally thousands of emails and responses to the point that it has compromised one of the primary means of communication for my small business.
The tech support team looked into it and suggested that I change my password but the problem persists. Whenever we contact support, the best they can offer is to ask us to change our password, but that obviously isn't solving anything. At this point, the computer we use for email is no longer switched on, and my email password and browser has been reset four times. The sender on the email blasts shows up in a Google search as a known abusive spam IP address, yet DSL Extreme refuses to block them from accessing their email servers. Jerry from tech support says DSL Extreme doesn't understand why it's happening and that I should change my password yet again. It's my fault, and there's nothing they can do about it. That sucks, and we will be canceling our subscription ASAP.

Not Upgrading Me
I have been with DSL Extreme for a while now.
I'm not sure if the modem/router was 'new' back then, probably so, but outdated now.
As I cut the 'cord' I have relied on Roku devices for watching TV.
It has become apparent that this router does not broadcast the signal very well at all.
It is only 2.4GHz, no 5GHz.
The PC that is hardwired receives the full download speed, but connecting via WiFi, even though it is basically next to the router, get about 1 mbps DOWNLOAD!!
Speaking with support they agree that this is slow, but they will not replace the modem to something newer.
They say I COULD get an extender (not needed if the computer is 2 feet away, or connect another router!!
So basically they want me to BUY another router that will do what theirs cannot.
I will be leaving DSL Extreme once my contract is up, if not sooner.

If I could give this company -0 Stars I would. They are the worst . You can never reach anybody. Right now it's labor Day and service hasbeen out for a day and a half. There is no way to reach them, there is no way you can talk to anybody or call. during the regular hours you can wait up to an hour to speak to a technical person and they are in the Philippines. I have no service now and nobody in this company to help. I've emailed them twice and nobody monitors the email or even whether their services working or not. I looked them up under Better Business Bureau. They have an F rating, another 53 complaints, 47 of them have gone unresolved. They are garbage and they have no interest in getting better.
They lost our IP address
They lost our IP address, I don't fully understand how you can lose the rights to an IP address but they did. So we were paying for internet that they weren't even providing and since it was for a back up on a security system it took a year to find out. When we demanded they cancelled they didn't and continued to charge us when we finally caught it they refused to refund us on the months of charges they charged us AFTER cancelling a serves they haven't provided in over a YEAR.

Have had this a month now and am quite satisfied. I am in a 24 unit building with at least 30 tenants; each person having a cell phone and at least a tv or computer or both. I didn't get the strongest service and though everyone is using at least 1 device at all times, I have minimal problems. I am thinking of upgrading if the lockdown continues after this month.
