The sentence the most used for DPD when they don't want to deliver is 'LOCAL DE ENTREGA NÃO ACESSÍVEL'
TERRIBLE experience. DO NOT USE.
Cannot stress how bad they are! Waiting weeks for a package and drivers are completely incompetent and do not bother to deliver, support staff cover up for driver inadequacies and failings. In the end the staff told me I need a Portuguese number to even receive the parcel. They should be shut down!

I ordered a package that was supposed to be delivered in two parts. Only one arrived. After multiple calls asking about the second package, I was repeatedly told to wait, only to find out, two weeks later, that the package had been returned to the sender. No one at this company took responsibility, insisting I contact the original store for assistance. I’ve never experienced anything like this—such poor service for an expensive order. This company treats deliveries like a joke.

A terrible disgusting company
A terrible disgusting company! They can't deliver my order for 5 days! The courier arrives, does not call. They took my order to some warehouse where I can't even pick it up on my own! Tomorrow is the birthday of the friend I ordered a gift for! And the gift didn't come!!
Worst delivery service ever!
Worst delivery service ever! My parcels are never delivered the first attempt. They never deliver on time either as they claim that I'm not home, when I am and they don't ring the bell nor call. This has happened every time it's DPD delivering my parcels. Appalling service. DPD should be shut down!
Dpd is useless
Dpd is useless. It's the third time when I receive SMS that my parcel was delivered but no one showed up and in the tracking history it said the beneficiary wasn't home although I was waiting outside and wouldn't miss it!
Package left outside while raining without contacting me
Had zero information about the package since it left the origin country. It was taking longer than expected so I wanted to change the delivery from home to pickup. Wasn't allowed to do that until it arrived at the Portuguese delivery center. When it did arrive at 19h of one day, the website was down and wouldn't let me login to change the delivery.
This resulted that in the next morning I got an SMS with a code to give the driver upon delivery. i wasn't home and the driver never called or tried to otherwise contact me. The driver left the package at the door and marked as delivered, and never got the code. It was raining and even though the driver did push the package against the door, I couldn't get home until very late so it still got a little wet. Fortunately the items inside were wrapped in plastic so no damage was caused there.
I contacted costumer support via e-mail and haven't gotten a response for two days.
They had no permission to leave it outside or anywhere else that wasn't with me. Could have just taken to a pick up point but decided to risk damaging my package or let it get stolen just so it would be easier for them. Completely unacceptable behaviour, hope to not have to use their services again, or to have a proper respectful driver/delivery person if I do have to use them.

Giving one star is too good for DPD Portugal. Shocking service. I received an SMS advising that my parcel will be delivered so I waited outside to make sure the driver finds me. Noone showed up, then notification that my parcel had been delivered!! Called customer service, they were rude, she told me to not interrupt her when she was talking, said the address was incomplete which was not true, they refused to tell me what address they had. Was then told my parcel had been dropped at a collection point & when i picked up my package the address was 100% complete & correct. The customer service people cover up for the drivers who couldn't be bothered to come to my house address, pathetic. Will never again use any company that uses DPD. The company will not be in business for much longer if they carry on like this.
DPD are useless
DPD are useless. They send an SMS and then never actually arrive. This is the second time we have to have these pathetic people NOT deliver our goods. We paid extra to have our Via Verde device delivered and now DPD have sent a message saying they cannot do this on time. We will be asking our lawyers how to deal with this matter as we have a contract with Via Verde to deliver our device within 2 working days and it is now DPD that is telling us they cannot do this. DPD always gives problems….I would never use dpd if I have a choice.
Now again, a package. They said my adress is incorrect, which was not. Called them friday. it would be fixed and would be delivered the next monday. That monday: nada. Tuesday, nada. Wednesday, nada and again the message that the adress is incorrect. Which is not. Now, our adres is official. And besides that, we are on a main road, very easy to find and also very very findable on both Apple and Google Maps. There is just no justification for not finding us. Also the courier mever called. All other companies don’t have this problem. I called dpd again. A lady didn’t want to let me finish my sentence explaining the issue and my previous steps with her colleague but started talking straight through me. Very rude so I asked her to please let me finish. She hung up. Even more rude. Nothing happened. No package. I ended the issue by refusing the package on the app. I don’t even want DPD at my gate anymore. What a sh** company!

horrible company, nothing works, delivery without trackingn not clear if it ever will arrive. No agents available to respond any questions.

They have picked up my package on MAY 13th. It should arrive at destination on MAY 14th.
It's now MAY 24th and they have no clue on where my package is. Phone support is a joke, they don't help in anything, just say "We don't know".
Customer support takes forever to answer emails and then just say that will look into the matter.

Worst company in Portugal. I was at home on the day of delivery, and no one rang the doorbell or even attempted to contact me. The delivery person simply left it at a DPD pickup point that was convenient for him. I know they didn't even come to my area because there were closer DPD points. I called customer support, and they said they would request a pickup from the point so that the order could be delivered to my home. Two days passed, and nothing happened. I contacted them again, and they said the same thing. Calling their service s*** would be a compliment, as it's much worse than that.
Yet again DPD lie to me
Yet again DPD lie to me. Nobody arrived again to collect my return parcels. This has been going on since December 20th. Keep saying I'm not at home, have been here for weeks, nobody shows up.
Lousy liars!!
Terrible!!! DPD are just lousy liars: I had a parcel they picked up in Hamburg on the 19.12. It arrived in Faro on the 23.12. Then they kept updating the arrival date on the web site to the 26th, 2nd, 3rd and 4th, the day they finally delivered. They told me they could not find the place. They could have called like they did on the delivery day, couldn´t they? Just stop using them.
What a difference with DHL: pick-up in a lost place in eastern Germany on the 18.12, delivery on the 26.12. in Carvoeiro
Do not use for Portugal
As far as I know, this is the worst postal service in Portugal, constant delays, even had and occasion where they claimed they were at our house to no avail (my wife and I work from home, so it was a lie).
They also do not allow you to pick up de delivery yourself in case of a delay, which is the most ridiculous thing I've heard.
If you value your deliveries and money, DO NOT USE DPD Portugal
