On June 4, 2025, my son who is disabled tried to buy something from the Dollarama store located in
610 6th St New Westminster BC V3L 3C2
She saw him as disabled. She was condescending and insulting because my son cannot understand how to scan the product he bought. He was with me as I there to teach him how to scan but the woman appeared to show off to all those present and interrupted our transaction. Clearly it was a self-checkout but she has to speak very loud and get the attention of everyone to show that she was in command and my son was scared. He was anxious and started to shake.

I had a really good experience at Dollarama
. The shop has a wide selection of new tech like speakers, headphones, chargers, and more — all at very affordable prices. Nothing felt overpriced, and the quality was surprisingly good for how cheap everything was. If you’re looking for useful gadgets without breaking the bank, this place is definitely worth checking out!

I love Dollerama

I love Dollerama. I can always find what I need when I shop there. There prices are so affordable. When shopping there I like that I can find everything I need from cleaning supplies to a bit of groceries and decorations for what ever occasion I'm celebrating. Not to mention I find so many beautiful accessories for my home and many books and and toys for my kids that's a affordable. I would definitely recommend to shop at Dollerama before going to any stores

My expérience and thought about dollorama

I go often in dollorama, I think they always have super abordable stuff that is much more a decent Price. The one near me is alright but its more because certain employee dont have the best energy. Other than that a good store , I think one of the best upgrade would be to have more options from bigger brands in term of quality.

Don't Buy Gift Cards AT Dollarama

I purchased 2 - $50 KEG gift cards from Dollarama that were given as a gift. When the recipient tried to use the cards, they were told that one of the cards wasn't activated. I thought this would be an easy fix and took the card back to Dollarama and ask them to either activate the card or give me my $50 back. After months of back and forth with Dollarama (they couldn't do anything because it was a third-party item, even though it was their cashier that didn't activate the card properly), they sent me a Dollarama gift card in the mail (I had requested a cheque) and when I went to use the card, it had been disabled and had a zero balance. Now I can't get a response from customer service and there is no phone number to call to speak to a live person. Managers in the stores have no authority and can't do anything. Quit selling gift cards if you can't train your employees how to activate them. Give you managers the authority to correct this at the store level.

its not Dollarama , its Dollarscama !!!

recently i went shopping at my regular dollarama store located in King"s Place in downtown Fredericton NB. i"ve been a customer there for 12 yrs but due to lies by the manager and the employee that charged me for items i did not get i won"t be going back. i asked for a refund or to get the items that i paid for but did not get and i was told it could not be done and given some BS about having to return to the store with ALL the items on the receipt ( after i had already gone home by bus ) MAYBE i would be given a gift card for the amount but she couldn't be sure. what a load of CRAP !!! ( iv'e recently read about their "gift cards" ) you want to treat your loyal customers like that ,,,, i say you get the two finger UP YOURS salute. SCREW YOU !!!!! i hope a lot of people read this true review and take heed that all you care about is PICKING PEOPLES POCKETS !!!!!

Terrible Phone Service!

Tried calling Dollarama in Windsor, NS, and the prompt immediately talks in French, not English - after that, it tells you to press a number to find out about product availability, but tells you to look online and then hangs up.

Thanks for your absolute crap x100 service, Dollarama!

SCAM ALERT

SCAM ALERT – DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS FROM DOLLARAMA

I purchased a $50 Joker Visa gift card from Dollarama at 180 Steeles Ave W as a Christmas gift. The card was never activated and completely unusable. I contacted customer service with proof of purchase and the physical card, and received conflicting responses:
– First, they asked for my credit card number
– Then said it wasn’t purchased with that card
– Then claimed the card was already used
– And at one point, they told me to contact the card website

Nothing was resolved. This has been a frustrating and embarrassing experience, and I strongly believe this is part of a wider scam operation.

Be warned: Dollarama offers no support, and you risk losing your money. I am reporting this further and urge others to stay away from buying gift cards at Dollarama.

Customer service non-exist & arrogant at Dollarrama

I was in this Dollarrama store on July 6/24, A staff person did not help me with a simple question of price of an no price label/sticker item & simply told me to check at the front. I thought she must have a scanner or something or even know the price by heart as she has been sorting items nearby me for over 10 minutes.

Then I was being ignored by this same staff at check out & the other male person who were behind the only available cashier counter at this location (seems they are using lots of self checkout machines instead of human cashiers. I stood there for over a minute & they did not talk to me, ignored me & just counting money & talking to each other. I dropped everything & left

I received the following totally useless & indifferent possibly template copy of Dollarrama so-called customer service. It was mandatory when contacting Dollarrama on their online form to include my name, tel number, location of the concerned Dollarrama store with my complaint which I also posted here on July 15/24. Their reply seems so template like & fake because they did not even address me by name but a silly "Good day" & then they were asking for date, time & location of their store I was complaining about. Either they could not read or simply sent out their ridiculous template reply regardless. Such an EASY JOB for these Dollarrama customer service "people" to do their job this way & still have their job & get fully paid for doing basically nothing. Dollarrama has become so huge nowaday & seemingly they no longer care about decent customer service, online, in-store, face to face or in writing. NO MORE BUSINESS FROM ME. I do not spent my hard saved money & get no basic, reasonable service & GET IGNORED!

Due to the fact that I refuse to use a self checkout

St Catharines, Fairview Mall. Due to the fact that I refuse to use self checkout, I informed the young cashier that I prefer the manned front desk and she explained she would have to call another cashier and I said ok. I waited patiently. After about 2 minutes, the young cashier apologized to me and I said that it was ok and that "I don't work here" as an explanation as to why I was going to wait. Another cashier, in her late 40's, rudely rushed up to the front desk stating "I'm here, no need to be mean to her". I stood my ground and said "I am NOT being mean to her". Where the heck are you training these people - in a trailer park? Don't make assumptions. In fact, this woman projected her opinion onto me as to what she perceived I had done to the other employee. Cheesed me right off and you just lost a customer.
