Underwhelming! Not sure what the fuss is about. I can name 3 local curry houses who do better dishes. The only saving grace was our lovely server, Adam

Sharing details with fraudsters!
Dishoom shares the contact details and booking details with fraudsters. Fraudsters refers booking and cancellation details for charges. Don’t book them online ( I did through their website), frustrating situation. They charged £560.
Dishoom poor again
Went to Covent Garden for my Mum in laws special birthday. I’ve got to say it was a shambles and I won’t be going back. Sorry Dishoom - you’ve got too big and are compromising quantity over quality of both food and service experience.
Dishoom breakfast
Me and my daughter attended Dishoom Covent Garden for breakfast and we enjoyed the expieriance so much that we will be going there on a regular basis. The breakfast dishes we ordered was absolutely delicious and the staff were brilliant and made the time go by lovely. They were very quick to serve us and explain the dishes to us.
My daughter enjoyed the masala tea and the fruit and yoghurt dish , which was very tasty.
So thank you to all the staff at Dishoom.
I will be bringing friends and family for breakfast.
I highly recommend this place for breakfast.
Beautiful Restaurant
Beautiful Restaurant , Fabulous staff and Amazing Food! Will definitely be back :)
Wonderful Lunch Out with Family
I went to the Covent Garden branch with family and we had the most amazing time! Everything was perfect, our table was nice and clean, however, the brown chairs were a bit wobbly and we did have to swap them around but that didn't ruin the rest of the lunch for us!
We had a wonderful young male server, who I unfortunately did not get the name of. He was very attentive and kind, and we really appreciated his happy demeanor.
We ordered lamb samosas, vada pau, masala prawns, mattar paneer, garlic naans, steamed basmati rice, and we had the Chef's special Tila-Foi's very best masala fish! Although they are small dishes and a little pricey, what can I say but On my word! These were all such amazing dishes, that we nearly finished the food in 1hr! It was all so tasty, bursting with flavours. They brought out the food so fast and it was all piping hot. If you do get the masala fish, I highly recommend it with the basmati rice, it just elevated the dish! We have been raving about the food non-stop for a week now!
The only thing we weren't a huge fan of was the sheek kebab, it was a little too dry for us, but we absolutely loved the rest!
The place itself is beautifully designed and has a cosy feel to it. The bathrooms were clean and lovely.
Overall I cannot fault this place, and I look forward to bringing more family and friends there!
Absolutely love this place!
Varied and quality food
Varied and quality food, but the vibe is a little like a production line. Still good service and you know what your getting
40th wedding anniversary
For my sister & husbands 40th wedding anniversary I booked them train tickets, a night in London, tickets to a show & a table at Dishoom with vouchers. I did put on the Dishoom booking Happy 40th Anniversary. The best part of the trip was Dishoom. From the moment they arrived they were treated like royalty, they were given champagne & they said the staff couldn't do enough for them. At the end of ghe meal they were given 4 breakfast vouchers to use in the Manchester Dishoom as a gift from Dishoom.Thank so much for making their 40th anniversary so a memorable day!
Excellent food and service
I've been to Dishoom in Manchester and London. And both have really delicious food. (Menu Options in Manchester are lesser than in London). I thoroughly enjoyed the meals and drinks. They are made just like the original recipes of India. The staff are amazing, kind and helpful. I love the restaurant atmosphere- so clean and unique.. takes me back to Mumbai..❤ although some people say the portions may be small, but I think they are perfect, then I can eat few different dishes to my hearts content.
Really tasty food but the portions…
Really tasty food but the portions could of been a bit bigger, staff were great. Was very busy, so it was hard to hear what the other person was saying.
Lovely atmosphere and building
Lovely atmosphere and building. The service was good though waiter even though professional seemed rushed due to amount of tables he had to cover, in this very popular restaurant.
The food that was served was delicious and would recommend. There was some disappointment however as the chicken biriyani became unavailable to order, and it was only 17.00.
Where we were positioned close to the bar on second level, staff seem to keep a door open to let in air but it creates quite a strong draft for the tables close to it.
Overall I can see why Dishoom, Manchester is popular because it is very good value, atmospheric and friendly. I think there are some points for improvement and then offer 5/5 rather than 4/5.
Nice experience, good cocktails
Nice experience, good cocktails, service was awesome. A nice modern take on an indian restaurant. Tried the one in Edinburgh
Great service and food! Well done
Having visited Birmingham and stumbling across this site I can not recommend it enough. The staff were amazing and a credit to the company. The food was delicious and I highly recommend and will be back. Thank you for such a great experience
not good time there
not good time there. We visit Dishoom in Canary, three times they confused the order, my friend is gluten free and the server was looking so upset when she was asking him for more information. When going in, hostess was talking with each other, laughing, so we was kindly waiting they to finish so we can ask for table.
Breakfast naan and marmalade mimosa cocktail.
My sister very generously ordered the breakfast pack with mimosa cocktail and Marsala Chai. What a wonderful experience! Beautifully presented, great instructions and excellent ingredients. A thoroughly indulgent treat which I’d highly recommend.
We like it here
Pricey but great
Nice and unusual choice of dishes. Pricier than our usual but we enjoyed it.
How can anyone rate this place?
How can anyone rate this place? We ordered a huge takeaway and every single dish was a let down. The garlic chicken was soggy and tasteless. Chicken curry had fatty leg meat in, no breast. Same for the biryini. Dahl was bland and chickpeas tasted out of a tin. The naan was nice but rest of meal inedible. Ended up in the bin.
Manchester branch disappointed!!
Manchester branch disappointed!!
I had heard great reviews of the experience food and service I could expect on my visit. The food was excellent but unfortunately whole experience was ruined by the incredibly poor service we received from our server. All around we could see the efficient and friendly service other tables received. Our server never once returned to our table although visited the one next to ours regularly …. It takes great skill to not connect with surrounding tables but revisit one in particular! We had to ask three times for water and more drinks all different servers. To add insult to injury service charge then included with the bill !!
The restaurant wasn’t at capacity we were left feeling disappointed and uncomfortable sorry but won’t be returning any time soon.
