Everyone at Cruden has been a pleasure to deal with both during and after the purchase of our new home at Hawkhead. Isobel and then Jan were so helpful during the purchase of our house and answered all of the questions that we had. After moving in our snags were handled with no issues and in a timely manner by Michael and Willie. We had heard some nightmare stories about new builds so were a little nervous, but Cruden have been nothing but helpful across the entire process.

I was handed the keys to my new home in February and I have to say I have had a great experience. I was in contact with Mary who was great until the handover and since I have been in contact with Michael and Peter the site managers who have also been absolutely fantastic. The quality of the build is great and my snags were fixed promptly without fuss. A great experience all round!

Whole process from first visit to getting the keys for my new home was positive due to the professionalism and patience shown by the Sales Manager Jan. Jan was so helpful in helping with issues I had mainly due to problems with the sale of my old house. Once we moved in any snagging issue was dealt with quickly by the on-site team led by Site Managers Michael and Willie . Even issues that have arisen since team left have been dealt with quickly by the Customer Service Team

My review is to acknowledge the support of Brian Dewar and his Customer Service team and tradesmen at Cruden Homes.

When I raise new building snagging items from door
s, plumbing, drainage, sealants, carpets, and paintwork, Brian quickly arranges appointments to address these repairs efficiently and professionally. His team are fast, friendly, tidy and skilled in various trades, enabling swift solutions. Thanks for their customer support.

From the very start of showing interest buying a new Cruden home i dealt with Jan in the sales office. I have to say right from the start that Jan could not do enough to help me through the process she went above and beyond her role to help.

Lisa was incredibly helpful showing us around and telling us about the homes available at Longthorn Gardens. She answered my many questions and was very patient and understanding with our toddler running around. She made us feel comfortable and at ease, which isn’t easy when you’re looking at houses with a toddler.

We have had the best of service from visiting the site to pick a home right through to beyond our move in date. We dealt with Maureen at the Wellwater Grove development at East Calder and she was so welcoming and went above and beyond to accommodate all of our requests. From moving in, Matt the Site Manager has been amazing, nothing is too much trouble and any niggles we had were dealt with quickly and efficiently. He also has gone above and beyond to help us with any issue we raised. To be honest, we were very apprehensive about buying a new build as we have heard some horror stories but the service we have received and the quality and design of our house put any fears to bed. We are more than happy with our new home and would thoroughly recommend Cruden Homes to everyone ❤️❤️❤️ thanks and appreciation to Maureen, Matt and all the workers behind the scenes xxxx

We visited West Craigs Cruden homes in Edinburgh and from the start it was a very comfortable experience. They kept us informed at each step and we got the keys on time. Thanks to Ashely Ridley who made our journey a good experience.

Recently purchased our forever home with cruden and could not be happier with the service and care we have received, sales team Mary and Sarah were so helpful through the purchasing phase and on and after handover day Michael and the other site agents/management have delivered top class service with any issues and problems we have encountered and been on the ball to get everything sorted. Derek the painter is a credit to your team so professional and works to a high standard. Also very approachable and a friendly manner which is always nice to see. Very happy with the service so far!

From my 1st meeting with Ashley I just knew that it was going to be the right decision - Ashley is an abs gem and her customer care is 2nd to none abs fantastic service from start to finish so quick to reply to any queries and an absolute credit to Cruden - the customer care team address any issues promptly also especially Shona - cannot fault Cruden would highly recommend - huge thank you to Ashley who made the whole process so easy

​I recently moved into a new build by Cruden, and the entire process has been impressively smooth and straightforward. Having heard plenty of "new build" horror stories, I was cautiously optimistic, but Cruden has lived up to expectations.

​The Highlights:

​Seamless Handover: From the initial paperwork to moving day, the communication was clear and the timeline was respected.

​Proactive Snagging: As with any new house, there have been a few minor snagging issues. However, the team hasn't been dismissive; they’ve been quick to acknowledge the points and schedule the remediation work.

​Excellent Tradespeople: A special shout-out to Paul the painter, who was in today. He’s been great at touching up the finishing spots and ensuring everything looks sharp. It’s those small details! And having friendly, professional tradespeople on-site makes a big difference.

​Overall:
​I’m really happy with the quality of the build and the level of aftercare provided so far. If you're looking for a developer that actually follows through on build quality, I’d certainly recommend Cruden.

Terrible company, customer service terrible, the way they treat their staff is horrendous. Do not use this company, they are on Scotland scammers, avoid at all costs.

Right from the off when we first walked into the portacabin we could not have been made to feel more welcome. Right through our cycle of seeing just a plan to getting our keys 2 weeks ago the customer service has been second to none. We were kept up to date right through the process and visited many times just to see how the build was going and every time we were welcomed by the Cruden team Especially Mary who you would think would be sick of the sight of me bugging her :) Even today popping in to ask about something extra Mary was more than happy to assist me. I cannot recommend Cruden highly enough, absolute professional service from start to finish (and beyond moving in)

From meeting Ashley and Louis the communication help and understanding we have received has been exemplary. Through delays to our entry date Ashley kept us informed every step of the way and became more like a friend. We moved into our home in Hawkhead late January 2026. The overall experience was excellent from start to finish. Jan was absolutely fantastic with keeping us updated throughout and was always available to answer any questions. Jan was also very knowledgable regarding the development, local area and the sales process. Once we moved into our after sales with the site manager was first class. The overall build quality is excellent and while there were some minor issues that area pretty standard for new builds, all were fixed quickly. The site manager also had regular follow ups by the site team to check if anything else had come up. All in an absolutely great experience from start to finish.

Cruden have been a great builder of our first new home. The entire process has been seemless when we bought our house in May-25. Matthew has been instrumental in the process and we couldn't recommend him and Cruden more. The house has been finished to a very high standard and the aftercare has been brilliant. Thank you Matthew and Cruden.

I moved in to my new Cruden home in January 2026. Mary and Sarah Jane in the sales team were excellent, giving me advice and support through the sale and up to moving in. Since moving in Michael and Peter, the site managers, have been brilliant and are on hand to answer all of my questions and solve any issues with my new house.
I'm delighted with the quality of the build and love living in my new home. The superb customer service has made the whole process of buying and settling in easy.

Professional experience starting with our sales person - she communicated and kept us informed any questions or queries we had all answered.
After sale,any issue was dealt with efficiently and resolved, again with good communication. Customer service is excellent.

Truly unbelievable that I made my 1st home at West Craigs, Edinburgh and thanks to Cruden Homes to helping out to achieve my biggest dream ever in my life. They are well organised with process and advice the right at of people to get the things sorted with hassle free.
