We found Cotswold Automotive when looking to buy an automatic Honda Jazz locally. From the very beginning the service was excellent. We were called back straight away by Matt who was very friendly, polite and helpful. We were able to see the car the same day and take it for a test drive. We traded in our Nissan Note and were very pleased with the price. Everything was taken care of and we felt very pleased with the service. Nothing was too much trouble. We are very happy with our new car and would highly recommend this company.

I came across Cotswold Automotive on the Autotrader site and the cars seemed good value and well presented. Their website is great with every detail available before going to look, and I found them helpful and communicative, so I booked to go and have a look at a car. It was a slightly odd experience as the company is based in a communal office building and the cars are parked in a car park below, not the usual dealership vibe, but don't be put off, but the sales team are very efficient, I had a test drive and the car was beautifully clean and presentable with a full 12 month MOT, and no advisories at what seemed a fair price (I wasn't able to knock the price down at all). I would recommend them for value and efficiency, not super cheap but fairly priced and it really was a hassle free experience.

I recently bought a Skoda Yeti from Cotswold Automotive and had a great experience. Mike was friendly and never pushy, the team made payment easy with a mix of credit and debit card, and delivery to Bristol was really affordable. The car even came with a Yeti sticker from the previous owner, which made the decision even easier! Highly recommend their professional and customer-focused service.

I was recommended to Cotswold Automotive by a friend who had previously used them and had a wonderful experience.
We purchased my son his first car and the process was smooth and easy from start to finish. We paid a small deposit to hold the car and then it was brought to our house a few days later for a test drive ( no catches! ). The car turned up in immaculate condition inside and out, even the engine was sparkling clean. The gentleman who brought the car over was kind and professional, we was not rushed and it was a no brainer to purchase the car. He has now had the car for nearly 3 months with no issues at all. It really put our mind at rest to know the car was under warranty and we had a good port of call should we need it.

I’ve previously had a stressful long winded experience buying my previous car but when I traded it in and bought my current car at Cotswold automotive it was so easy and straight forward! I’ve been loving my current car and it was such a fair price. Very happy with my experience :)

I recently dealt with Cotswold Automotive and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. After paying a deposit for a vehicle and advising I’d be looking to view it over the weekend, I received no response. I made the trip down regardless, only to be greeted by Mike who informed me the car wasn’t kept on site—something that was never mentioned in the Auto Trader advert.

Due to this lack of transparency, I chose not to proceed and was offered a refund, which I was told would take 3–5 working days. That same day, I received a text asking me to send my bank details via SMS—a method that’s clearly not secure or GDPR-compliant. When I raised concerns, I was told the only alternative was to give them over the phone, which I did, begrudgingly, on 22nd July.

Fast forward to 12th August, I checked my bank and noticed the refund still hadn’t arrived. I called to chase and was told I’d get a call back—no one called. I chased again on 13th August and was told the manager was “at the bank” sorting out payment issues and I should receive the refund shortly. By 5pm, still nothing. I called again and left a message with the receptionist, who confirmed Mike was in until 6pm and would call me back. Finally, at 8:45pm, I received a banking notification that the £100 had been transferred, followed by a text from Mike.

While I did eventually get my money back, the lack of communication, poor handling of personal data, and overall disorganisation made the entire process unnecessarily stressful and disappointing. I would not recommend this dealership based on my experience.

Had a really good experience with Cotswold Automotive recently. Saw a car we were interested in for our son's first car. Quickly arranged an appointment, took a while to find the office (our fault!), then had a pleasant experience with Mike. Took the car for a quick drive, decided we wanted it and bought it there and then.. thanks!

I purchased a Volvo estate from Cotswold Automotive a couple of weeks ago. This is not a typical garage with a large, expensive showroom; they have an office in Gloucester. I arrived at the office which was easy to find, there was free parking on site. I had already phoned and arranged to view the Volvo and it was on site when I arrived. I was greeted by friendly staff and given the keys to the car. Instead of the traditional 'hard or pressure' sales patter; the car was issued with trade plates and off I went for a test drive. The car was lovely and as described on their website. I would certainly recommend this garage if you spot something on their website you like.

Recently purchased a Ford Fiesta from here, super easy process and Mike was really accommodating with booking test drives and collection. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to buy a vehicle.

Bought a car from here, WISH I NEVER HAD, want me to pay for car straight away, but the car had fault with it, so i had to leave the car with them so thay could sort out problem which was very inconvenient for me, after 5 day and a lot of phone call to them to see when my car would be delivered to me, it finally turned up, but the fault had not been fix, arrived to take car back to them to fix it and was told I had to leave the car there all day, which i couldn't do as I don't live locally, all this company had done is lie to me, I've had to chase them as thay never get back to you, on my last visit the sale man got very aggressive will me not very professional at all,REALLY REGRET BUY A CAR FROM THEM AND WOULD NEVER USE THEM EVER AGAIN

the experience was amazing. staff was extremely helpful and assisted within every step during the purchase and shipment of my car. i bought a 2011 VW polo from cotswold and it was of extremely high quality and very clean. great experience would recommend
